Abstract

Social forestry is a flagship program to preserve forests while improving the welfare of communities around forest areas. This program faces several problems and challenges, one of which is the problem of financing social forestry business groups. The purpose of this study is to analyze alternative financing strategies for social forestry business groups. This study uses an in-depth interview method with the public and experts and the results are analyzed using descriptive analysis, SWOT and QSPM. Interviews with the community found that the financing of social forestry business groups is still minimal, this is due to several factors, including access to financing, government support, human resource capacity, and institutions, so alternative strategies are needed to increase the financing potential of social forestry business groups. Alternative strategies based on SWOT and QSPM analysis include actively looking for alternative sources of financing, increasing human resource capacity, evaluating the improvement of management of social forestry business groups, managing the environment sustainably, utilizing social forestry assistance facilities, conducting active communication with related institutions, and participation in collaboration between the community, government, and the private sector in the development of social forestry business groups.

Abstract

Capital availability is necessary to support economic growth in order to reach its potential. Sources of capital supply might come from various sources owned by the state or foreigners. One of the foreign capital supplies comes from foreign direct investment (FDI). Recently, FDI is known to be one of the factors driving the national income of various countries in the world, including ASEAN countries. This study examines the influence of FDI, inflation, and the labor force participation rate (TPAK) on GDP in ASEAN countries. This study used secondary data in the form of panel data from eleven ASEAN countries for the period 2010 to 2020. The analytical method involved using the static panel analysis with the best model in the form of a fixed effect model (FEM) equipped with descriptive statistical analysis for each variable in this study. The results confirmed that FDI has a positive and significant effect on GDP. Meanwhile, inflation and TPAK has a negative and significant impact on nominal GDP in ASEAN countries over the time span of observation. For this reason, the governments of each country need to formulate strategies and policies to encourage investment improvement and economic stability. This is important to support each country's economy to achieve its best potential.

Abstract

Cryptocurrency investment among millennials in Jabodetabek has surged, driven by the increasing adoption of digital assets despite their inherent risks, such as price volatility and regulatory uncertainty. This study investigates the influence of financial literacy, risk tolerance, and trust on cryptocurrency investment decision-making using the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB). The research aims to explore how attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control, in addition to financial literacy, risk tolerance, and trust, impact investment decisions. A quantitative approach was adopted, surveying 325 millennial investors in Jabodetabek. The findings reveal that attitudes, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, risk tolerance, and trust significantly influence investment intentions and behaviors. However, financial literacy was found to have no direct effect on investment intentions, indicating that millennials may invest despite limited financial knowledge, influenced instead by positive attitudes and social factors. This highlights the importance of psychological factors such as trust and risk tolerance in guiding investment decisions in cryptocurrency markets. The study provides valuable insights for policymakers, financial educators, and cryptocurrency platforms to enhance financial literacy and support more responsible investment practices among millennials.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to provide a literature review of green bonds and their relation with other financial assets. Most of the research that has been conducted has focused on the spillover transmission from the financial asset market to the green bond market. The method used to select and analyze the results of journal reviews is Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA). The journals used in this study are Scopus-indexed journals, which are searched using the keywords green bond, cointegration, transmission, and spillover. The result indicates that green bonds can be used as an alternative in diversifying portfolio instruments. Based on previous studies, it was found that there was spillover transmission from the financial asset market to the green bond market. This indicates that volatility in the financial market will spill over and affect the green bond market. This study can be used as a strategy for making investment decisions, especially in building investment portfolios.

Abstract

The merger of three state-owned Islamic banks into Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) represents a strategic effort to enhance the competitiveness and institutional efficiency of the national Islamic banking sector. This study aims to analyze changes in financial performance before and after the merger using the CAMELS framework and to formulate institutional strengthening strategies based on SWOT analysis, supported by the IFE and EFE matrices. Employing a quantitative approach, financial report data from 2017 to 2023 were analyzed using a paired sample t-test, Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA), and strategic mapping. The t-test results show that all CAMELS indicators experienced significant changes, including Capital (t=33.586; Sig=0.000), Earnings (t=28.206; Sig=0.000), and Liquidity (t=75.768; Sig=0.000). The IPA results indicate that indicators such as profitability and management shifted to Quadrant I (high priority and high performance), while asset quality and market sensitivity remain in Quadrant II (high priority but underperforming). Based on the weighting and scoring from IPA and t-test results, the IFE score of 3.77 and the EFE score of 3.25 place BSI in the "aggressive" quadrant of the IE matrix. The SWOT formulation generates an SO (StrengthsOpportunities) strategy, emphasizing the optimization of internal strengths such as capital adequacy and liquidity stability to seize external opportunities like digitalization and the expanding Islamic financial market. This study concludes that the merger had a positive impact on financial performance, yet a sustainable institutional strategy focusing on operational efficiency, risk management, and post-merger integration remains essential.

Abstract

This study investigates how Quantitative Easing (QE), as an unconventional monetary policy, affects Indonesia's macroeconomic stability amidst increasing global volatility. While QE is intended to stimulate liquidity and economic recovery, its implementation in emerging economies like Indonesia faces structural constraints involving inflation control, exchange rate management, and monetary policy independence. Using 64 quarterly observations from 2007 to 2023, this quantitative research applies nonlinear econometric models including Threshold Vector Autoregression (TVAR), Bayesian Vector Autoregression (BVAR), and Time-Varying Parameter Vector Autoregression (TVP-VAR) to capture regime-dependent and time-varying policy dynamics. The analysis focuses on Indonesia’s macro-financial variables, including policy interest rate, inflation, GDP growth, REER, stock market index (IHSG), and government bonds (SUN). The study adopts the “new monetary trinity” framework, integrating financial stability alongside exchange rate and monetary autonomy. The main findings highlight nonlinear and time-varying relationships among variables: in low-volatility regimes, QE supports inflation control and bond stability, while in high-volatility regimes, it intensifies pressure on GDP and erodes monetary independence. The burden-sharing mechanism between the central bank and the government proves critical in sustaining liquidity and investor confidence. These insights underscore the need for adaptive, well-coordinated fiscal-monetary strategies to enhance resilience in Indonesia and other emerging markets.

Abstract

The initial objective of the Pre-Employment Card (Program KP) is to improve skills and prepare the workforce to be able to compete in the world of work. With the Covid-19 pandemic, the goal is to help people affected by the pandemic and reduce unemployment. After a year of implementing this program, it is necessary to conduct an analysis that aims to determine public sentiment towards the program and analyze the factors that influence a person's decision to register. Data from Drone Emprit Academic Open, Sakernas and the logit method were used to answer the objectives. The results show that the community gives negative sentiments related to the type of training and requirements. The factors that influence a person's decision to apply are the number of hours worked, income, age, training, job status, using the internet. Other factors are preparing for a new business, changes in income and working hours, and education level. The negative sentiment still arises in several issues related to the type of training and enrollment. PMO needs to improve how information is disseminated on requirements and registration. The training can be cheaper to allow more training attended and reach more recipients within the available budget.
