Abstract

The technology of smart home systems has developed rapidly and provides convenience for human life. Several smart home technologies, especially monitoring systems, have been developed by integrating several aspects, including security systems, fuzzy methods, and energy saving methods. However, the problem is how to build a smart home system that is accurate, convenient, and low-cost. In this research, the development of a smart home monitoring system that integrates wireless sensor networks (WSNs) and deep reinforcement learning (DRL) is carried out based on three parameters, i.e. temperature, humidity and CO2 level. The experimental method is carried out by (1) validating the accuracy quality of WSNs; (2) determining the best model implemented in the system; and (3) measuring the quality of the DRL system on the smart home monitoring system. Based on the test results, several indicators were obtained: (1) WSN testing resulted in an accuracy of 98.52%; (2) the accuracy of the modeling results implemented in the system is 97.70%; and (3) DRL system test on the smart home monitoring system through 21 test scenarios resulted in an accuracy of 95.52%. The indicators of testing this smart monitoring system prove that the developed system provides the advantages of accuracy, ease of use, and low cost.

Abstract

In the midst of the digital revolution, the role of higher education has assumed a heightened significance in a nation's overall development. The accreditation of study programs within higher education institutions holds paramount importance in assuring the quality of tertiary education. This article underscores the significance of accrediting the Informatics Management Study Program at Sriwijaya State Polytechnic (Polsri) as a means to enhance the quality of higher education. By means of socialization and discussions, the various stakeholders associated with the Informatics Management Study Program acquire a profound comprehension of the accreditation process and the requisite standards to be met. The outcomes of this research substantiate that these steps not only foster an improved understanding but also promote collaboration among the stakeholders. Consequently, they are better prepared to confront external evaluations with heightened preparedness and self-assurance.

Abstract

Technological development has changed the social order in society. Several countries are starting to lead to the 5.0 industrial revolution. Technological transformation brings society to digital civilization in almost all aspects of life. This study aimed to analyze the influence of Content Marketing and e-WOM on Revisit Intention. Through a quantitative research approach, the population of this study was people who had visited tourist destinations in Pagar Alam City with a total of 120 respondents. Data were collected by distributing questionnaires to respondents. Based on the results, Content Marketing and e-WOM simultaneously had a significant influence on Revisit Intention. However, partially, the Content Marketing variable had no significant influence on revisit intention. Meanwhile, e-WOM turned out to have a significant influence on Revisit Intention partially. This is because there are other more influential variables than the two variables in this study.

Abstract

Kegiatan Kansei Day yang dilaksanakan melalui webinar bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan dan menerapkan konsep Kansei Engineering dalam pengembangan produk, dengan fokus pada memahami preferensi emosional konsumen. Metode yang digunakan meliputi penyelenggaraan acara "Kansei Day 2024", yang melibatkan sesi berbagi panelis, paparan hasil penelitian, sesi tanya jawab, dan dokumentasi webinar. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan Kansei Engineering dapat meningkatkan pemahaman tentang preferensi konsumen, mendukung pengembangan produk yang lebih memuaskan secara emosional, dan memperluas wawasan industri terkait. Pentingnya hasil ini terletak pada kemampuannya untuk meningkatkan kualitas produk, meningkatkan daya saing di pasar, dan menciptakan pengalaman yang lebih memuaskan bagi pengguna.

Abstract

Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) is a part of the development of a system in addition to the usability factor. Several methods were developed in HCI to produce a User Interface design that persuasively attracts the user’s interest. One of these methods was Kansei Engineering which involved psychological factors and user emotions in the stage. The study focused on developing the e-commerce User Interface for UMKM products which based on how to maximize the service and quality of e-Commerce because so far the development of the web-based UMKM  e-Commerce product user interface has not paid attention to psychological factors. The Research followed Kansei Engineering Type 1 (KEPack) with the stages: (1) Research Initiation, (2) Collecting Kansei Words (KW), (3) Translating KW into SD scale, (4) Collecting Specimens, (5) Classifying Item / Category Specimens, (6) Evaluating Questionnaire Participants’ Data, (7) Multivariate Statistical Analysis, (8) Translating Statistical Data into Design Elements, (9) Creating Guideline Matrix Kansei Engineering. This study involved 40 participants, 20 Kansei Words, and ten specimens of UMKM e-Commerce products. The final result is the Kansei e-Commerce matrix guideline for web-based UMKM products, which had two main concepts, they were complexity consisting of formal, natural and simple emotion factors; and Uniqueness consisting of Comfortable, Soft, and Unique which consists of 8 main parts which divided into 65 design elements. The contribution of this Research in the informatics area is to provide recommendations for the appearance of  web-based UMKM  e-Commerce products based on the psychological factors of the user through the Kansei Engineering Stages.

Abstract

Training on the application of digital media streaming video using the vMix application at the UPTD BTIKP of the South Sumatra Disdik is a strategic step to meet the demands of the times in educational development. Involving employees, the training aims to improve their understanding and skills in implementing video streaming technology. Using a structured method, including an introduction, demonstration of the vMix application, individual practical sessions, discussions, and presentation of results, the training successfully provided participants with in-depth understanding and technical skills. The results include improved employee competencies in vMix implementation, creating the basis for a more innovative and technologically-adaptive education transformation.

Abstract

This study aimed to explore the roles of Agrosilvopasture, MSME (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise) Incubation, and financial literacy in supporting Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in rural areas of Indonesia. The study procedures were carried out from April to September 2023 in Pagar Alam City using indigenous communities and stakeholders associated with customary forest management, comprising 100 intentionally selected respondents. Subsequently, the Slovin formula was used to determine the number of respondents, who were then selected using a purposive sampling method. The relationships among variables, including Implementation of Agrosilvopasture (X1), MSME Incubation (X2), Financial Literacy (M), and SDGs (Y), were tested. Data obtained were then analyzed using the Partial Least Squares-SmartPLS. The results of path coefficient analysis showed that Agrosilvopasture had a significant negative influence on financial literacy but a positive impact on SDGs. In addition, MSME incubation yielded a favorable impact on both financial literacy and SDGs. Mediation testing validated that financial literacy served as a mediator in the relationship between Agrosilvopasture and the examined outcomes. Based on the results, financial literacy, Agrosilvopasture implementation, and MSME incubation were crucial for achieving SDGs in rural areas. These holistic approaches offered promising pathways to achieve various SDGs, with financial literacy playing an essential role in enhancing the effectiveness of the strategies.

Abstract

Background: BPKAD Palembang City as a government agency for managing regional assets, which data on land and building asset management is still in the form of tabular documents. The process of visualizing land and building asset data can be represented through a Geographic Information System (GIS) for easy information and realizing transparent and serving government governance. Problem Formulation: (1) How is the implementation of web-based GIS in the management of regional assets in Palembang City, and (2) How is the level of effectiveness of web-based GIS in regional asset management in BPKAD Palembang City. Research objectives: (1) Provide information, monitoring and supervision to the government, especially BPKAD Palembang City on the classification and mapping of regional assets, and (2) Measure the level of effectiveness of GIS implementation in the management of regional assets. Research stages: Planning, Analysis, Design, Implementation, Testing and Integration, Survey. The final result is a Geographic Information System product that provides easy information, monitoring, and supervision for the Palembang City BPKAD with an effectiveness rate of 81%

Abstract

Ease of access to finance serves as a driving force for the development of entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship, in turn, has the capability to stimulate the creation of new employment opportunities. Sound financial access is crucial for supporting the sustainability and growth of the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector. The objective of this research is to delve deeper into the challenges faced by MSMEs in accessing finance and analyze its influence on the business performance of MSMEs. The survey for this research was conducted on 324 MSMEs in the South Sumatra Province. The sample selected used the quota sampling technique. The research framework was developed and tested using a Structural Equation Model (SEM). The research findings indicate that business traits, financial resources, and growth phases of MSMEs have a significantly positive impact on financial access, while financial challenges have a negative impact that hinders the growth of MSMEs and affects overall MSME Performance.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat dan tenaga kesehatan mengenai penggunaan Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG) dalam pemetaan penyebaran penyakit di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Alang–Alang Lebar, Kota Palembang. Masalah utama yang ditemukan adalah rendahnya pengetahuan terkait teknologi SIG serta terbatasnya pemanfaatan data terstruktur dalam pemantauan penyakit. Untuk mengatasi hal ini, dilakukan sosialisasi dan diskusi mengenai hasil pemetaan berbasis SIG, dengan fokus pada pentingnya pemanfaatan data spasial dalam pencegahan dan penanganan penyakit. Kegiatan mencakup pengenalan konsep dasar SIG, pelatihan penggunaan perangkat lunak SIG sederhana, serta diskusi interaktif mengenai hasil pemetaan. Metode ini diharapkan membantu peserta memahami pola penyebaran penyakit dengan lebih jelas dan mendukung pengambilan keputusan yang lebih tepat sasaran. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman peserta tentang konsep dan manfaat SIG, serta mendorong partisipasi aktif masyarakat dalam memanfaatkan data kesehatan untuk mendukung pemantauan penyakit oleh Puskesmas. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat memperkuat sistem kesehatan masyarakat di wilayah Alang–Alang Lebar.
