Abstract

The problem that often arises and is commonly found in the implementation of health planning at the health office is that the health planning system is still less effective in covering the needs and problems related to the health of the local community. The purpose of this Community Service (PKM) activity is to increase knowledge and skills in making disease distribution maps using the Quantum GIS application as one of the tools for making health plans. The training method is carried out by simulation and direct practice. The participants of this training were as many as 16 staff of Disease Control and Eradication the Jambi Provincial Health Office (P2P). Evaluation of activities using a pre-posttest questionnaire. The knowledge of P2P officers before training was dominantly lacking (43.8%) and after training the knowledge became dominantly good (75%). The results of this activity were obtained by increasing the knowledge and skills of P2P officers in making disease distribution maps using the QGIS application.

Abstract

The incidence of hypertension is increasing in the world. Many factors cause hypertension both socio-demographic factors, behavior, physical and history of the disease. The purpose of this study was to analyze the determinants of the incidence of hypertension in women of childbearing age (15-49 years) in the Working Area of the Sungai Tering Public Health Center, East Tanjung Jabung Regency in 2022. This study used a cross sectional design. The research variables were age, family history, obesity, physical activity, seafood consumption, and hormonal contraception. Data collection used a questionnaire by conducting interviews, measuring blood pressure, measuring body weight and height. Sampling used Stratified random sampling, 120 samples of women of childbearing age were analyzed using the Cox-Regression test. The proportion of hypertension in the Sungai Tering Health Center working area is 43.35%. Factors associated with the incidence of hypertension in women of childbearing age are family history, physical activity, and consumption of seafood. Factors that are not related are age, obesity, and hormonal contraception. Healthy lifestyle behaviors such as a balanced diet, diligent physical activity, and regular health checks reduce the risk of developing hypertension.

Abstract

Unused citronella solid waste can disturb the view and has the potential to pollute the environment, a solution that can be done is to process citronella solid waste into compost. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of composting citronella solid waste using EM4 and local micro-organisms (stale rice and citronella). This type of experimental research and research design is a one- shot case study. By using EM4, moles of stale rice, moles of citronella and carried out 3 repetitions and obtained 9 samples. Collecting data by observing, measuring and laboratory tests. Data analysis was performed using the Kruskal Wallis test. As for the results of data analysis, namely the p value on NPK is > 0.05, then the NPK in citronella solid waste compost using EM4, MOL of stale rice and MOL of citronella there is no significant difference. Laboratory results on citronella solid waste compost with EM4, MOL of stale rice and MOL of citronella produce Nitrogen and C/N values that do not meet the requirements of SNI 19-7030-2004. Composting citronella solid waste using EM4 and Local Micro-Organisms (stale rice and citronella) is not effective because at the end of composting it produces a low Nitrogen value and a high C/N rasio

Abstract

There are variations in the prevalence of stunting cases at the village level in Kerinci Regency. There have been no studies on the spatial distribution and risk factors of stunting cases in Kerinci Regency. This study aimed to determine the risk factors and spatial distribution of stunting. This research was conducted in Kerinci Regency from March to November 2020 using a case-control design and a total sampling technique. The study participants consisted of 223 patients and 223 controls. Children who experienced stunting were recorded at the health office. The controls were non-stunted children with an age range (±3 months) and sex who came from the same village as the cases—data collection through interview techniques and observation of the Mother and Child Health book. The chi-square test, logistic regression, and spatial distribution analysis were performed using the open-source software SatScan 10,1 and ArGIS 3,30. The analysis shows stunting cases clustered in Kayu Aro, Gunung Tujuh, and Keliling Danau Districts. A low father's education level (aOR=1,76), father's height <161 cm (aOR=1,52), mother's height <150 cm (aOR=1,83), and incomplete immunization status (aOR=1,6) were risk factors for stunting. In conclusion, cases of stunting clustered in three sub-districts, and the leading risk factor was the mother's height. The health office should make specific intervention efforts before and during pregnancy and focus on cluster-indicated areas.
