Abstract

This community service program aims to improve the welfare of corn farmers and poultry farmers in Tempursari Village by providing appropriate technology in the form of a corn grinding machine. The main problem faced is the high price of animal feed, especially corn grits. Through observations and interviews, it was found that farmers and ranchers did not have the knowledge and access to corn milling technology. The service activities include training on the use of the grinding machine, demonstrations, and the handover of the machine to farmer groups. Evaluation results show that this machine can increase the efficiency of feed production, reduce production costs, and increase the added value of corn. The active participation of the community in the training shows their high enthusiasm for this new technology. In conclusion, this service program has successfully provided an effective solution to the problems faced by the people of Tempursari Village. The presence of the corn grinding machine is expected to increase the income of farmers and ranchers and contribute to the development of the agricultural sector in the area

Abstract

Carpet cleanliness in mosques remains a crucial issue at Mosque, Wonokerso Village, Pakisaji District, due to limited equipment and ineffective manual cleaning methods that pose health risks to volunteers. To address this, the community service team from Universitas Negeri Malang developed and implemented an appropriate technology-based carpet dust remover with a beater and vacuum system. The program involved problem identification, tool design and testing, user training, and performance evaluation. Function tests showed that the machine could clean up to 642.6 m² of carpet per hour, significantly more efficient than traditional methods. This initiative enhanced worship comfort, community participation, and partner self-reliance in managing mosque hygiene. The results highlight the importance of simple, applicable technological innovations to meet specific local needs and support sustainable cleanliness of religious facilities.

Abstract

Program pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan solusi terhadap permasalahan limbah kotoran kambing yang menumpuk di lingkungan peternak Desa Bangoan, Kabupaten Tulungagung. Melimpahnya limbah hingga ±17 kg/hari tidak dimanfaatkan secara optimal dan berpotensi mencemari lingkungan. Untuk mengatasi kondisi tersebut, tim pengabdian merancang dan menerapkan Shredding Machine sebagai teknologi tepat guna untuk mempercepat proses pencacahan limbah menjadi bahan baku pupuk organik. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi pembuatan dan uji kinerja mesin, sosialisasi, pelatihan operasional, pelatihan pembuatan pupuk organik, serta pendampingan pengemasan dan pemasaran. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa mesin memiliki kapasitas hingga 1.756 kg/jam pada putaran tinggi dan mampu menggiling 5 kg limbah dalam 10–22 detik. Pelatihan meningkatkan keterampilan peternak dalam mengoperasikan mesin, mengolah pupuk, serta mengemas dan memasarkan produk. Program ini berdampak signifikan dalam meningkatkan kebersihan lingkungan, kapasitas produksi pupuk organik, serta membuka peluang rintisan usaha bagi peternak. Dengan demikian, inovasi teknologi ini efektif dalam mendukung ekonomi sirkular dan pemberdayaan masyarakat desa.
