Abstract

Background: Patients admitted to the ICU are often in a state of uncertainty. This has an impact on the welfare of caregivers and other family members. This study aimed to determine the relationship between religiosity and the level of anxiety experienced by caregivers while accompanying patients in the ICU. Materials and Method: This study is a non-experimental observational cross-sectional study with analytic correlational design. The research sample was taken as many as 33 people as samples were carried out by consecutive sampling method. Results: Religiosity is negatively related to mild to moderate anxiety (R=-0.484, p >0.05). Religion is positively related to levels of moderate to severe anxiety (R=0.402, p=0.038). Conclusion: There is a negative relationship with the level of moderate strength between religiosity variables with mild to moderate levels of anxiety and there is a positive relationship between religiosity and moderate to very severe levels of anxiety in family caregiver ICU at Sanglah General Hospital in Denpasar.

Abstract

Background: Schizophrenia is a severe mental disorder that requires collaborative approach from the health care provider, family, and the society in its management. Adequate support from the family of people with schizophrenia plays a significant role in their recovery. However, providing support to these patients might become a significant burden among caregiver that it might induce the occurrence of stress, mood changes, and anxiety. This research aimed to determine the correlation between caregiver burden and the mental problems that might be experienced by caregivers of people with schizophrenia.Patients and Methods: This qualitative research employed a cross-sectional analytic design. Samples were obtained consecutively in June and July 2018. The questionnaires used were the 22 item Zarit Burden Interview (ZBI) and the 42 item Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale (DASS-42).Results: A number of 69 subjects participated. The caregiving burden demonstrated strong positive significantly correlations with problems including depression, anxiety, and stress (r=0,618, r=0,694, r=0,808, respectively ; all p<0.001). Conclusion: There is a relationship between caregiving burden and depression, anxiety, and stress on caregivers of people with schizophrenia (PWS) in Sanglah Hospital in Denpasar.

Abstract

Background: A good quality of life in the elderly must be maintained because good quality of life is an optimal condition for the elderly to live their daily lives. Depression in the elderly willhave a severe impact on physical, social life where it will reduce the quality of life. This study was conducted to assess the relationship of quality of life with depression in the elderly.Method: This study uses a cross-sectional method, conducted in May-June 2019, using WHOQOL-BREf, GDS, AMT, ADL.Results: A total of 195 elderly participated, average age 67 years, married 94.4 percent, mostly 45.1 percent did not go to school, ADL was found to be normal, there was moderate cognitive impairment as much as 13.3 percent, and depression 80 percent. There was a significant relationship between quality of life and depression (OR: 1.22; 95% IK 1.02-3.97), which means that elderly people with poor quality of life have a higher risk of depression.Conclusion: There is a significant negative correlation between the quality of life with depression, where the elderly with poor quality of life have a 1.22 times greater risk of depression.

Abstract

Background: One type of psychiatric disorder that is still controversial is online game addiction. A massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) has the highest prevalence of game addiction, especially in Asian countries. The goal of this study was to see the correlation between personality traits, openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism with the occurrence of online game addiction.Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted on 248 adult online games players throughout Denpasar through proportional stratified random sampling randomization by searching for online game addiction status based on Indonesian Game Online Questionnaires’ (IGOQ) and Five-Factor Personality Traits based on the International Personality Item Pool (IPIP NEO- PI).Results: The prevalence rate of online game addiction in online game center players in Denpasar obtained 27%, the majority are students, male, Hindu, Bali. On average, playing more than 35 hours a week and playing more than 12 hours in 1 session. From the analysis of personality traits, it was found that the traits of conscientiousness had a protective relationship between the occurrence of online game addiction with adjusted Odd Ratio was 0.895 (p <0.001).Conclusion: Personality traits tests focused on trait conscientiousness can be used as a screening for potential addictions.

Abstract

Background: Schizophrenia is a severe mental disorder in the psychiatric field, is chronic, and is characterized by recurring relapse. The causative factor that plays an important role is the expressed emotion (EE) of the family. The aim of this study was to determine the expressed emotion scores of families who treated schizophrenic patients at Sanglah Hospital.Methods: The study used a cross-sectional analytical method. Measurement of the EE of families using the Family Questionnaire (FQ). Data were analyzed descriptively and used the Spearman correlation test with a significance level of p <0.05.Results: The research participants were 61 families of schizophrenia patients treated at Sanglah Hospital, female (57.4%), and average age 45 years old. The results showed a correlation between the family’s expressed emotion score and the frequency of recurrence of schizophrenic patients in Sanglah Hospital, which was statistically significant (R=0.611, p <0.001). That value shows that the correlation between the family expressed emotion score and the frequency of relapse patients with schizophrenia at Sanglah Hospital has a strong categorical correlation.Conclusion: There is a significant correlation between the scores of family expressed emotion and the frequency of relapse in schizophrenia patients, where the expressed emotion of families is high, the frequency of relapse in schizophrenia patients will increase.

Abstract

Internet addiction in adolescent during pandemic COVID-19 will be predicted to be increased more than ever. There is need prevention or intervention program to solve this problem. Hatha yoga is considered to be impact mind-body stress relieving exercise found that improve the internet addiction sign and symptoms, but lack of evidence reviews about neurobiology model that effect Hatha yoga and internet addiction. This present review summarizes about Hatha yoga epigenetic mechanism effects could improve in internet addiction. PubMed, ResearchGate and Google scholar have been searched with the following key terms “Internet Addiction and Yoga”, “Yoga and Mental Health”, “Addiction”, “Yoga”, “Addiction and COVID-19”, “exercises and mental health”, “exercise and brain neuroplasticity” from December 2019 up to December 2020. Study in the internet addiction found that significant the expression level of the mRNA of D5 dopamine receptor was significant down-regulated in peripheral blood lymphocytes (PBLs). The literature summarized in this review have shown that Hatha yoga effect through epigenetic process could improve the gene expression mRNA of D5 dopamine receptor in PBLs in the brain in order to improve internet addiction symptoms and sign and active transcription factor Nrf2 to increase the immune system.

Abstract

Background: Emotional intelligence is the ability to feel and understand more effectively against emotional sensitivity that includes the ability to motivate oneself or others, self-control, able to understand the feelings of others effectively and able to manage emotions that can be used to guide the mind to make the best decisions. Religiosity is an understanding of religion in a person that is seen through a person's knowledge and beliefs about his religion and is carried out in worship activities. This study aims to determine the correlation between the level of religiosity and emotional intelligence in students of Madrasah Aliyah (MA) in Denpasar. Material and Methods: The participant of this research amounted to 90 students of MA in Denpasar. This study used an observational analytic study with design of cross- sectional study. Measuring the level of religiosity using the scale of Religiosity from Glock & Stark that has been modified in Islam and emotional intelligence is measured using the Emotional Competency Inventory (ECI) scale with a Likert model. Data was analyzed using the SPSS 25.0 program. Results: Level of religiosity 67% with high category and 32,2% with medium category. Emotional intelligence 18,9% with high category and 81,1% with medium category. There is significant mild positive correlation between religiosity and emotional intelligence (r = 0.272; p = 0.010). Conclusion: There is a significant positive mild correlation between the level of religiosity with emotional intelligence.

Abstract

Latar Belakang : Teknologi digital komunikasi dalam wujud gawai merupakan fenomena yang paling unik dan menarik dalam penggunaannya, karena gawai yang mudah dibawa, tidak mengenal usia dan kalangan serta banyak memiliki fungsi yang semakin berkembang, sehingga teknologi ini sering dikatakan teknologi merakyat. Orang tua mempunyai pengaruh terhadap anaknya dan perlakuan orang tua akan mempengaruhi perilaku anaknya, dimana anak yang mendaptkan pola asuh dengan rasa kasih sayang dan keterlibatan tinggi akan tumbuh menjadi anak yang mempunyai kontrol yang baik, percaya diri dan kompeten Tujuan : Tujuan dari tinjauan sistematik ini yaitu untuk memperoleh pemahaman yang lebih tentang model pendampingan orang tua dan pola asuh terhadap remaja dalam menggunakan gawai Metode : Proses yang digunakan untuk melakukan sistematik review adalah reviewer mencari beberapa artikel jurnal penelitian yang dipublikasi melalui database elektronik. Adapun database elektronik yang digunakan yaitu pubmed, perpusnas, dan google scholar. Hasil : Pengasuhan ibu yang penuh perhatian mampu meningkatkan komunikasi antara ibu remaja dengan mengurangi reaksi negatif orangtua terhadap informasi, persepsi remaja kontrol berlebihan, meningkatkan kualitas hubungan antara orangtua dan remaja. Pendampingan orang tua terhadap remaja berdasarkan hasil review yaitu berorientasi pada keterlibatan, penyaringan dan pemantauan, berinteraksi dengan anak melalui gawai pengiriman pesan singkat yang berisikan anjuran anak-anak menggunakan gawai dengan benar, pengasuhan anak yang penuh perhatian melalui mendengarkan dengan perhatian penuh seperti sikap mindfull, Kehangatan dari orang tua, perilaku yang terkendali, pemberian otonomi, pengasuhan yang otoritatif, dukungan, kontrol psikologis, proaktif, hukuman yang terkontrol dan hukuman keras, proses perhatian, kesadaran, tidak reaktivitas, dan tidak menghakimi. Simpulan: Pendampingan orang tua terhadap remaja berdasarkan hasil review ini sangat membantu dalam meningkatkan komunikasi remaja dan orang tua, khsuusnya ibu.

Abstract

Introduction. Insomnia is a sleep disorder that is often a complaint in the elderly which ischaracterized by difficulty sleeping and maintaining sleep. There are various recommendedtherapies for the management of insomnia. One of the therapies used was hypnotherapywhich aimed to find out, compare and analyze hypnotherapy as an intervention inInsomnia. Method. This study used a systematic review design, following guidelinesdescribed by the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis(PRISMA). The library source search was conducted online using the Google Scholar,Pubmed, and Science Direct databases. The keywords used are "effectivity","hypnotherapy", "insomnia". The literature search was limited to 2013 to 2021. 7 articleswere analyzed. The articles were selected using the inclusion criteria, namely full textarticles. Results&Analysis. Insomnia is still a health problem in the elderly. Variousattempts have been made to reduce the incidence of insomnia. Hypnotherapy can beapplied to therapeutic. Hypnotherapy provides benefits to reduce insomnia. Hypnotherapyin audio form can increase relaxation thereby reducing insomnia in the elderly.Discussion. Interventions carried out using hypnotherapy have potential in today's digitalera. Further research is needed to identify, develop and analyze a hypnosis-based insomniacontrol model on the index of insomnia, anxiety and sleep quality in the elderly. Inaddition, further research on the mechanism of cognitive therapy that plays a role in thecontrol model.

Abstract

Background: Schizophrenia is a psychotic disorder that is chronic and is most often found in the community. In the community, especially Indonesia there are still many who do not understand about psychiatric disorders schizophrenia, while the incidence rate in people with schizophrenia has begun to increase. Violence in schizophrenic patients in the form of physical, psychological, sexual and economic, or threats, deprivation of freedom results in the emergence of stressors that can trigger schizophrenia with a number that continues to increase every year.Methods: This research was conducted using descriptive study design. 206 research subjects meeting the inclusion criteria were included in the study. Data that has been collected using a questionnaire will be distributed specifically based on categories and processed using SPSS 17.00.Results: The prevalence of Schizophrenia patients caused by violence in Bangli Mental Hospital in Bali Province is 19.9% (41 patients) and 80.0% (165 sufferers) do not experience violence.Conclusions: 5.8% of patients had a history of physical violence, 13.1% of patients who had a history of psychological violence, 1.0% of patients who had a history of sexual violence, and 80.1% of patients who were not found has a history of violence.Latar Belakang: Skizofrenia merupakan gangguan psikotik yang bersifat kronis dan paling sering di temukan di masyarakat. Di masyarakat, kususnya indonesia masih banyak yang belum memahami tentang gangguan kejiwaan skizofrenia, sedangkan angka insiden pada penderita skizofrenia sudah mulai meningkat. Tindak kekerasan pada pasien skizofrenia berupa fisik, psikis, seksual dan ekonomi, ataupun ancaman, perampasan kebebasan mengakibatkan munculnya stressor yang bisa jadi pemicu skizofrenia dengan angka yang terus meningkat setiap tahunnya.Metode: Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan desain studi deskriptif. 206 subjek penelitian memenuhi kriteria insklusi diikutsertakan dalam penelitian. Data yang telah di kumpulkan menggunakan kuisioner akan didistribusi secara spesifik berdasarkan kategori dan diolah dengan menggunakan SPSS 17.00.Hasil: Prevalensi pasien Skizofrenia yang di sebabkan oleh kekerasan di Rumah Sakit Jiwa Bangli Provinsi Bali adalah sebesar 19,9% (41 penderita) dan yang tidak mengalami kekerasan sebanyak 80,0% (165 penderita). Simpulan: 5,8% penderita yang memiliki riwayat kekerasan fisik, 13,1% penderita yang memiliki riwayat kekerasan psikis, 1,0% penderita yang memiliki riwayat kekerasan seksual, dan 80,1% penderita yang tidak ditemukan memiliki riwayat kekerasan.
