Abstract

Abstract

Digital transformation has changed people's consumption patterns, especially in purchasing fashion products online. This study aims to explore the factors that influence the intention to buy fashion through the digital marketplace among students of the State University of Yogyakarta (UNY) using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) approach. This study uses a quantitative method with a survey design and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis techniques based on PLS. Data was collected through an online questionnaire of students using the marketplace. The results of the study show that perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness have a significant influence on students' attitudes and purchase intentions towards fashion products in the marketplace. In addition, external variables such as information quality and personalization have also been shown to influence the perception of convenience and usability. The developed research model successfully maps the relationships between variables significantly, which strengthens the validity of TAM in the context of digital purchases. These findings provide implications for MSME digital marketing strategies and the development of technology-based entrepreneurship curricula in higher education.

Abstract

Plus size bodies present a distinct challenge for women in finding ready to wear clothing that fits their body needs. This study aims to: (1) describe the design planning process and needs in developing ready to wear clothing using Wastra Nusantara (Indonesian traditional textiles) for plus size women; (2) describe the quality of the developed clothing products based on expert evaluations; and (3) describe the level of user preference for the ready to wear products. This is a Research and Development (R&D) study employing the Planning, Production, Evaluation (PPE) development model. The research subjects were 20 women in Magelang Regency aged 20 years and above with a Body Mass Index (BMI) >25 kg/m². The research instrument used a closed ended questionnaire, and the data were analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques. The study produced ready to wear clothing that takes into account design aspects aimed at visually manipulating the body shape of plus size women. The results of the study show that the highest preference levels of plus size women for ready to wear clothing made from batik and lurik are in terms of color (96%0, motif (94,2%), size (92,8%), silhouette (92,5%), fabric (91,7%), and texture (90,6%). Ready to wear clothing made from batik and lurik can be an excellent choice to enhance the self confidence of plus size women through a visually slimmer appearance, while also contributing to the development of inclusive fashion design with a touch of Wastra Nusantara, which has not been widely applied in the plus size women’s segment in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to develop Batik Bhumi Phala as a representation of Temanggung Regency’s identity through the exploration of local natural and cultural elements. Employing an artistic creation method, the research was conducted through three stages: exploration, design, and realization. The exploration stage identified distinctive visual sources from Temanggung, including tobacco leaves, coffee fruits and flowers, the Clock Tower, and Mount Sumbing and Mount Sindoro. In the design stage, these sources were transformed into batik motifs using stylization techniques for tobacco, coffee, and the Clock Tower, and disformation techniques for Mount Sumbing and Mount Sindoro, arranged into symmetrical compositions. The realization stage involved motif tracing, nglowong, dyeing, pelorodan, and drying, utilizing natural dyes extracted from dried tobacco leaves with tunjung as the fixative. Batik Bhumi Phala embodies philosophical values and reflects the cultural identity of Temanggung, thereby strengthening the community’s cultural character.

Abstract

ntroduction: Voluntary blood donor retention is still challenging in blood stock issue, specifically in decentralization system like in Indonesia. Most of previous research has focused on logistic or survey-based study, hence it cannot explain the dynamics of actual donor behavior from time to time. Further, there is a lack of understanding of donor retention as a behavioral process that develops longitudinally. This research aims to identify the first-time donor retention pattern and also demographic characteristics and relevant service context as basis for developing more effective health promotion strategies. Methods: This research implemented a retrospective longitudinal cohort design based on routine blood donor registration data of 26,170 first-time donors from five Blood Transfusion Units in the Province of Special Region of Yogyakarta during the period 2021–2024. Donor visit trajectories were analyzed using a sequence analysis approach with the optimal matching method and then grouped using the Partition Around Medoids algorithm. Cluster validity was determined using the silhouette and Dunn indeces and further analyzed descriptively and statistically to examine differences in characteristics among groups. Results: The study found three main donor patterns, i.e. one-time donors, regular donors, and donors who have temporarily stopped donating. City of Yogyakarta has highest retention rate, while Gunung Kidul is dominated by donors-once. Male donors tend to dominant among regular donors, on the contrary female donors are more represented in temporarily stopped donating. The vital finding points out the first 6–12 months engagement after initial donation is strongly associated with donor behavioral intentions. Conclusion: Blood donor retention is dynamic process that is influenced by demographic characteristics and service context. A limitation of this study is the lack of consideration of psychosocial as a variable. However, the use of actual longitudinal data is a major strength of this study. The managerial implication of this study is that segmentation-based strategies, strengthening interventions in the early phase, and gender-sensitive and community-based approaches are needed to increase donor retention in a sustainable manner.
