Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan strategi guru dalam menanamkan nilai sopan santun melalui pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMP Negeri 2 Gading. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan desain studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan observasi terhadap guru Bahasa Indonesia dan pembina kesiswaan kelas VII. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan enam strategi utama: keteladanan, pembiasaan dan tata tertib kelas, pemberian penghargaan dan sanksi edukatif, kegiatan keagamaan, pendekatan individual, serta pelibatan OSIS sebagai teladan. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa penanaman nilai sopan santun memerlukan pendekatan multi-strategis yang mencakup dimensi afektif, kognitif, sosial, dan spiritual. Kontribusi penelitian ini terletak pada penguatan pemahaman tentang integrasi pendidikan karakter dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia dengan strategi yang kontekstual dan aplikatif di lingkungan sekolah. Abstract

One important aspect that is the focus of education today is strengthening learners’ literacy. This research aims to contribute to the development of effective literacy learning strategies in the Madrasah Tsanawiyah environment. The study employed a descriptive qualitative method with data collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The participants consisted of the deputy head of student affairs, an Indonesian language tutor, and grade VIII students of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Zainul Hasan Genggong. Data were analyzed using the Miles & Huberman model. The findings indicate that the TRAP strategy fosters students’ engagement in reading comprehension and summarizing texts in their own words. Its success is influenced by teacher guidance and the availability of suitable reading materials. Challenges identified include limited reading resources and low writing proficiency among some students. Theoretically, this study reinforces the role of interactive strategies in literacy development, while practically, the TRAP strategy can be adapted in secondary school literacy policies to enhance students’ reading and writing skills.

Abstract

Abstract. This study examines the implementation of the suggestopedia method in Indonesian language learning at the Indonesian Language Education Study Program, Islamic University of Zainul Hasan Genggong Probolinggo. Utilizing a qualitative approach with action research methodology, this study involved 5 lecturers and 50 students over one semester. The results show significant improvements in student motivation and confidence, with a decrease in language anxiety from 65% to 30%. Students' language proficiency increased, with an average improvement of 28% in speaking skills and 22% in writing skills. Long-term retention of learning materials improved by 40% compared to conventional methods. Implementation challenges included initial adaptation by lecturers and students, resource limitations, and integration with existing curricula. The study also revealed positive impacts on lecturers' professional development, with 80% reporting increased creativity and teaching motivation. These findings have important implications for curriculum development and language education policies in higher education. Further research is needed to explore the long-term impacts and potential for wider application of the suggestopedia method.

Abstract

This study discusses the influence of slang on the existence of the Indonesian language amid the rapid development of digital technology and the widespread use of social media. The phenomenon of slang, which is commonly used by young generations on platforms such as TikTok, WhatsApp, and Instagram, reflects linguistic creativity while also posing challenges to the preservation of the Indonesian language. This research was conducted using a qualitative method through literature review, analyzing relevant sources related to the forms, functions, as well as the positive and negative impacts of slang usage on the ability to speak proper and correct Indonesian. The findings show that slang can enrich vocabulary and serve as a means of self-expression, yet excessive use may disrupt formal communication and accelerate language shift. Therefore, active roles from parents, educators, the government, and the media are necessary to instill a love for the Indonesian language and encourage its proper usage in order to maintain its existence in the era of globalization.

Abstract

Indonesian language learning in madrasahs is still dominated by conventional teacher-centered approaches that fail to foster students’ higher order thinking skills (HOTS). This condition calls for innovative learning models that encourage students to think critically, creatively, and reflectively. This study aims to describe the implementation of a multiliteracy learning model in developing students’ HOTS in Indonesian language learning at MTs Darut Tauhid Tanjung Sari. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach involving one Indonesian language teacher and 17 eighth-grade students as participants. Students demonstrated improvement in three key HOTS aspects: analyzing (88%), evaluating (76%), and creating (82%). The learning process became more interactive and student-centered, with active participation in reading, writing, and discussion activities using diverse textual and visual media. The teacher acted as a facilitator who guided students’ critical and reflective thinking processes through open-ended questioning and collaborative learning. The study concludes that the multiliteracy model is effective in developing students’ HOTS while simultaneously fostering creativity, self-confidence, and critical awareness.

Abstract

Learning supervision plays an important role in improving teacher performance during the learning process, but there are still few studies that discuss in depth the relationship between a serious and disciplined teacher teaching style and the results of quantitative learning observations. This study aims to determine the implementation of learning by a teacher who is known to have a firm teaching character, through a supervision instrument consisting of 46 indicators. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through direct observation carried out at MTs Negeri 2 Probolinggo. The results of the observation showed that the teacher implemented 42 of the 46 learning indicators with an achievement percentage of 91.30% which is included in the very good category. This finding shows that a serious teaching style does not always have a negative impact on collaborative learning, as long as learning strategies and approaches are implemented professionally and systematically. This study contributes to the practice of educational supervision by emphasizing the importance of data-based evaluation to support teacher training fairly and objectively.

Abstract

Permasalah penelitian ini adalah rendahnya kemampuan siswa  kelas XI SMAI Ar-Rofi’iyah dalam menulis kalimat efektif pada karya tulis ilmiah, yang ditandai dengan kesalahan struktur kalimat, redundansi dan ketidakjelasan makna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pembelajaran berbasis kesadaran metalinguistik terhadap kemampuan siswa kelas XI SMAI Ar-Rofi'iyah dalam menulis kalimat efektif dalam tulisan ilmiah (KTI). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan rancangan pretest-posttest control group. Populasinya adalah 76 siswa kelas XI SMAI Ar-Rofi'iyah (Tahun Ajaran 2025/2026) yang terbagi dalam tiga kelas. Sampel sebanyak 54 siswa dibagi menjadi dua: kelas eksperimen (n=25) dengan pembelajaran kesadaran metalinguistik dan kelas kontrol (n=29) dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket kesadaran metalinguistik dan tes menulis kalimat efektif, yang telah diuji validitas isinya (Aiken's V ≥ 0,75; persentase kesepakatan 89,58%) serta reliabilitasnya (Cronbach's Alpha 0,895 untuk angket dan 0,532 untuk tes). Analisis data dilakukan dengan paired sample t-test, independent sample t-test, dan Cohen's d. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis kesadaran metalinguistik lebih efektif dibandingkan pembelajaran konvensional. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menjawab ketiga rumusan masalah, yaitu: (1) terdapat perbedaan signifikan kesadaran metalinguistik antara kelas eksperimen dan kontrol (t=10,673; Sig.<0,001); (2) terdapat perbedaan signifikan kemampuan menulis kalimat efektif antara kedua kelas (t=6,660; Sig.<0,001); (3) pembelajaran berbasis kesadaran metalinguistik memberikan pengaruh sangat besar (Cohen's d=1,809). Pendekatan ini direkomendasikan untuk pembelajaran menulis ilmiah di SMA

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji Syair Rindu Rasulullah sebagai praktik linguistik dan performatif yang memperkuat identitas komunal dan resistensi budaya dalam komunitas Majelis Ar Ridwan dan Pesantren Anwarut Taufiq. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengungkap struktur linguistik, dinamika performansi, dan fungsi sosial syair dalam konteks ritual sholawatan kontemporer. Dengan menerapkan pendekatan etnografis-performatif, analisis linguistik terapan, dan observasi partisipatif terhadap satu sesi pertunjukan berdurasi 25 menit, penelitian ini memetakan pola repetisi, imperatif, pronomina, vokatif, dan metafora sebagai perangkat utama dalam membangun kohesi makna dan ritme ritual. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa syair ini terstruktur melalui arsitektur emosional dengan tiga puncak yang dihasilkan oleh imperatif performatif, jeda musikal, dan intensifikasi vokatif. Sementara itu, segmen repetitif seperti "Nabi Muhammad, Engkau…" dan "Habibi Muhammad…" menciptakan sinkronisasi afektif di antara para jamaah. Dari perspektif sosial, syair ini berfungsi sebagai medium pembentukan identitas kolektif sekaligus strategi resistensi simbolik terhadap wacana yang mempersoalkan praktik sholawatan. Syair ini menegaskan relevansi spiritual, terapeutik, dan estetis dari tradisi tersebut melalui bahasa figuratif dan tindak vokal yang terkoordinasi. Penelitian ini mengonfirmasi bahwa praktik sholawatan bukan sekadar warisan budaya, melainkan mekanisme pembentukan kesalehan komunal yang cair, musikal, dan berlapis secara simbolik.
