Abstract

This study examines the impact of the Johny Johny Yes Papa song on YouTube on early childhood English vocabulary acquisition. The purpose of this research is to analyze vocabulary improvement through engaging audio-visual exposure. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the study employs participant observation, parent interviews, and content analysis. The findings indicate that children who frequently watch this content are able to imitate words such as "yes," "no," "sugar," and "papa" and use these words in everyday contexts. Engaging visuals and repetition in the video help support vocabulary internalization. The study concludes that digital media like YouTube can effectively introduce a second language to young children through consistent exposure that aligns with their level of comprehension.

Abstract

Kemampuan menulis teks argumentasi merupakan keterampilan penting dalam dunia akademik, namun masih banyak siswa MA yang mengalami kesulitan dalam mengembangkan ide dan menyusun argumen secara logis dan runtut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh strategi pembelajaran Brainstorming terhadap kemampuan menulis teks argumentasi siswa kelas XI MA Darut Tauhid. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain Pre-Experimental One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Sampel berjumlah 15 siswa kelas XI A yang dipilih secara purposive. Instrumen penelitian meliputi observasi, pretest, posttest, dokumentasi, dan angket. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji paired sample t-test dengan bantuan SPSS 22. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai thitung 14,8 lebih besar dari ttabel 1,761, sehingga H? ditolak dan H? diterima. Artinya, terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari strategi Brainstorming terhadap peningkatan kemampuan menulis teks argumentasi siswa. Sebanyak 87% siswa juga memberikan respon positif, menilai strategi ini efektif dan menyenangkan. Kebaruan dari penelitian ini terletak pada penerapan Brainstorming dalam konteks madrasah berbasis pesantren yang memiliki budaya religius dan kolaboratif, sebuah latar yang belum banyak dikaji dalam penelitian sebelumnya. Lingkungan yang mendukung diskusi dan keterbukaan terbukti memperkuat efektivitas strategi ini. Hasil penelitian ini juga memberikan kontribusi bagi guru Bahasa Indonesia dalam mengembangkan pembelajaran menulis yang interaktif. Strategi Brainstorming dapat diintegrasikan dalam kurikulum berbasis literasi, khususnya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan keterampilan berargumen siswa.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media Nearpod terhadap kemampuan literasi digital siswa dalam menulis karya ilmiah di kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Maron. Literasi digital menjadi keterampilan penting dalam era global, terutama dalam mendukung kemampuan berpikir kritis dan pengelolaan informasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain pretestposttest nonequivalent control group, melibatkan dua kelas sebagai sampel (n=71). Instrumen yang digunakan mencakup observasi, wawancara, tes, angket, dan dokumentasi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan Nearpod dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Rata-rata nilai posttest kelas eksperimen mencapai 91,74 dengan skor N-Gain sebesar 0,8137 (kategori tinggi), sedangkan kelas kontrol hanya mencapai 69,49 dengan N-Gain 0,17051 (kategori sedang). Fitur interaktif Nearpod seperti kuis, Draw It, dan integrasi PDF menujukkan potensi meningkatkan partisipasi aktif danpemahaman siswa. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa Nearpod efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi digital siswa, khususnya dalam konteks penulisan karya ilmiah. Kata Kunci: Nearpod, literasi digital, karya ilmiah

Abstract

This study aims to identify the relationship between thematic learning and literacy strategies in Indonesian language learning at SMP Raudlatul Muta'allimin Dawuhan in the 2024/2025 academic year. Data were collected through tests and questionnaires. This study uses a quantitative method with Pearson correlation analysis, and is supported by data from questionnaires distributed to students. The results of the study showed a Pearson correlation value of r = -0.08, which is included in the category of a very weak and negative relationship, and only around 23.75% of students stated that they strongly agreed that thematic learning helps improve their literacy. These findings indicate that although thematic learning has been proven effective at the elementary school level, this approach does not necessarily have a positive effect at the junior high school level without appropriate adjustments. Therefore, this study recommends that teachers and schools develop a thematic learning model that is more relevant to the needs and characteristics of junior high school students and integrate literacy strategies in a more targeted manner.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan model collaborative pair-checking dalam penelitian puisi. Penelitian ini memakai penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik dan metode pengumpulan data memakai angket, wawancara, observasi, dan tes. Teknik analisis data memakai analisis statistik inferensial untuk menarik kesimpulan tentang model tersebut. Dalam penelitian ini, uji-t berpasangan dipakai untuk menguji perbedaan yang signifikan sebelum dan sesudah menerapkan model kerja sama pasangan. Sampel yang digunakan untuk penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X MA Darul Hasan. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan adanya perbedaan pemerolehan belajar siswa sebelum dan sesudah menerapkan model pair-check. Data nilai siswa sebelum penerapan model yakni dengan nilai rata-rata 67,29, sedangkan setelah penerapan model rata-rata nilai siswa yaitu 74,79. Maka dari itu, dapat dilihat bahwa penerapan model kerjasama pair-check dapat dinilai efektif untuk digunakan dalam mendalami puisi. Kata Kunci: keefektifan, pair check, dan puisi

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil uji coba produk media Google Sites dengan menggunakan Model CIRC pada  pembelajaran membaca puisi pada siswa MA Darul Hasan Dan MA Sunan Kalijaga. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian pengembangan (R&D) yang mengacu pada teori pengembangan Borg & Gall (1983). Objek dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas X MA Darul Hasan Dan MA Sunan Kalijaga. Hasil dari penelitian ini berdasarkan  penilaian yang didapat dari ahli media 66 (Valid), ahli materi 76% (valid), hasil uji coba skala terbatas 67% (valid) dan penilaian dari ahli praktisi yaitu guru bahasa Indonesia  di MA Darul Hasan mencapai 80% (kriteria valid), dan hasil uji coba skala besar 97%  (sangat valid) sedangkan penilaian dari ahli praktisi yaitu guru bahasa Indonesia MA Sunan Kalijaga itu mendapat skor rata-rata 85% dengan (kriteria sangat valid), yang dari setiap penilaian tersebut memasuki kriteria layak, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil uji coba produk media Google Sites dengan menggunakan media CIRC dikatakan layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran membaca puisi.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the application of metacognitive strategies in learning critical reading among grade X students at SMAN 1 Paiton. Metacognitive strategies include three main stages, namely planning, monitoring, and evaluating, which aim to help students realize their thinking process during reading. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the application of metacognitive strategies was able to improve students' critical reading skills, marked by an increase in students' ability to understand text structure, evaluate arguments, and reflect on the reading process. Students' responses to this strategy were also positive; they felt helped in understanding the text more deeply and became more active in the learning process. This study recommends metacognitive strategies as an effective approach to improve critical literacy skills at the secondary school level.

Abstract

In the learning process, every teacher faces different challenges. In order for learning to be carried out optimally, special methods are needed. This study will explain the application of Differentiated Instruction for students with special needs. The aim is to examine in depth the Differentiated Instruction method implemented at MTs Genggong 2. The method used in this study is descriptive, divided into four stages: subject and informant selection, data collection, data analysis, and validation. The results of this study indicate that the application of Differentiated Instruction for students with special needs at MTs Genggong is effective.

Abstract

This article documents a literacy program carried out in the Kotaanyar Subdistrict, Probolinggo Regency, with the primary goal of stimulating imagination and reading interest among adolescents. The program explores various creative and interactive approaches to enhance literacy within the community. This article provides insights into the stages of program implementation, including planning, execution, and its impact on participants. The literacy program encompasses not only book reading activities but also book discussions, the establishment of reading spaces, and various engaging literacy activities. One of the program's main focuses is intensive mentoring to stimulate adolescents' reading interest and foster their creativity. The article also emphasizes the importance of collaboration with various stakeholders, including participants' families, local schools, and local government, in efforts to create a sustainable literacy culture. The outcomes of this literacy program include increased reading interest among adolescents, the development of creativity, changes in reading culture, and improvements in the quality of education. This article illustrates how a literacy program can be an effective instrument in enhancing literacy and awakening creative potential within the local community. It is hoped that the experiences and lessons learned from this program can inspire and guide similar efforts in other locations.

Abstract

Abstract The dialogue model is often used in everyday life. The dialogue model is always related to the surrounding environment. One type of dialogue that is often heard is in the poetry of Astaan. Astaan poetry is a poem or song that has the meaning of praising the creator of the universe and contains a motivational sentence. The aim of this research is to find out the meaning of poetry that is often used by the people of Alassumur and its relationship to the social environment. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The data collection technique is by taking notes and analyzing it using the theory of the social environmental dialogue model. The results of the research found the meaning of praising the creator of the universe and contained a motivational sentence. Examples of data contained in Astaan poetry are jhue agi jealousy, atenah dirty foreigner, iman lontor, immoral kaberek katemor, prostrate ethinah, nabeng dhuntak busy bhen areh, nyare esesah tabuk, moah colmot tak awuduk, penyaket ateh, nyaleh tetanggeh, moso Bik Tretan, Reng Tau Erosoro, Disobedient Dek Reng Tuah, Atobet Ma Bhekus Kalakuan. Therefore, this Astaan poem can be used as an object for ecolinguistic study.  Keywords: praise; dialogue model; poetry
