Abstract

Traffic congestion can lead to various negative consequences for individuals. One of the most disruptive consequences for workers is stress at work. This study aims to examine the relationship between road traffic congestion and stress at work, with perceived organizational support and perceived supervisor support as moderators. A quantitative method with an online survey was conducted on 213 workers in Indonesia who experience traffic congestion while commuting to work or from work. Data analysis was performed using Hayes’s PROCESS macro in IBM SPSS Statistics version 26 with model 2 for moderated regression analysis. The result indicates that road traffic congestion significantly affects stress at work (ß = 0.63, p <0.05, CI = [0.48, 0.78]). However, perceived organizational support was not significant in the role of moderator between road traffic congestion and stress at work (-0.12, 95% CI = [-0.29, 0.05]). In addition, perceived supervisor support did not play a role as a moderator between road traffic congestion and stress at work (0.09, 95% CI = [-0.13, 0.31]). These findings demonstrate that the negative consequences of road traffic congestion are very substantial that their impact on stress at work does not diminish even though workers have perceived organizational and supervisor support.

Abstract

Research on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) among Indonesian civil servants plays a key role in enhancing the quality of innovations, as prior studies reflect growth mindset ability to predict the emergence of OCB. Following Conservation of Resources (COR) theory, the psychological mechanism underlying this relationship is examined through Thriving at Work (TAW) as a mediator. This study examined the mediating effect of TAW on the association between growth mindset and OCB with a quantitative method with cross-sectional survey design. Using convenience and snowball sampling methods, participants of this study were 163 civil servants (PNS SDM IPTEK) of Organization X. The research instruments were adaptation of psychological scales with proven reliability. The data was analyzed using Macro PROCESS by Hayes in SPSS version 29, showed TAW partially mediates the relationship between growth mindset and OCB. This study has potential further implementations in Indonesia's public sector to drive positive work behavior (OCB) through maintaining a positive mindset (growth mindset) among the civil servants.

Abstract

This research was conducted to look at the correlation of each dimension of career growth opportunity to turnover intentions at the startup company PT X. This research uses a quantitative approach involving numerical data analysis using special statistical techniques. The population in this study are employees at Startup X Company, with a total of 530 employees. The research sample was taken using a convenience sampling technique. The results of this study indicate that career growth opportunities have a significant negative correlation with turnover intention. Two of the four dimensions of career growth opportunity, namely career goals progress and promotion speed, correlate with turnover intention. Employees who receive promotion and career advancement opportunities the company provides tend to have lower intentions to leave the company. Factors such as organizational structure and employment level influence employees' perceptions of career growth opportunities. Employee gender also plays a role in perceptions of career growth opportunities. However, no significant correlation was found between employee age, career growth opportunity, and turnover intention variables. Based on the results of the data processing and analysis that has been carried out, it can be concluded that Career growth opportunity shows significant correlation results with turnover intention among employees at PT X Startup, and there are two dimensions of career growth opportunity.

Abstract

Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) is essential for improving service quality, yet the motivational mechanism through which strength-based leadership promotes OCB among Indonesian millennial civil servants remains unclear. Guided by Self-Determination Theory, this study examined Harmonious Passion as a mediator between Strength-Based Leadership and OCB. A quantitative, non-experimental, two-wave time-lagged survey was conducted with 256 Indonesian millennial civil servants. Data were analyzed using Hayes’ PROCESS Macro Model 4. Strength-Based Leadership positively predicted Harmonious Passion (b = .380, p < .001), while Harmonious Passion positively predicted OCB (b = .340, p < .001). The direct effect of Strength-Based Leadership on OCB was nonsignificant (b = .088, p = .073), whereas the indirect effect through Harmonious Passion was significant (b = .129, 95% CI [.060, .212]), indicating full mediation. These findings extend Self-Determination Theory and suggest that public organizations should develop strength-based leadership practices to cultivate harmonious passion and enhance discretionary employee behavior.
