Abstract

Islamic education positions educators and students as two main components that are interrelated in achieving educational goals. The Qur'an, as the primary source of Islamic teachings, provides guidance on the concepts, roles, duties, and characteristics of educators and students in the educational process. This study aims to examine the concept of educators and students from the perspective of the Qur'an and to identify the duties and characteristics that educators must possess in Islamic education. This study uses a qualitative approach with a library research method. Data were obtained from the Qur'an, hadith, books, scientific journals, and various literature relevant to the research theme. Data collection techniques were carried out through documentation studies, while data analysis used descriptive-analytical content analysis methods. The results of the study indicate that educators from the perspective of the Qur'an do not only function as teachers, but also as guides, role models, moral builders, and developers of students' potential as a whole. Educators have the task of purifying the soul, transforming knowledge, fostering noble morals, and directing students towards a life in accordance with Islamic values. Students are individuals who are constantly in the process of learning and self-development, both intellectually, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. The Quran also emphasizes that educators must be trustworthy, sincere, patient, forgiving, possess noble character, master knowledge, and be role models for their students. Therefore, the concept of educators and students from a Quranic perspective emphasizes the formation of individuals who are knowledgeable, faithful, pious, and possess noble character as the primary goal of Islamic education.

Abstract

many human beings are intelligent and intellectual but possess unpraiseworthy morals/character (akhlak), leading them to misuse the intelligence they possess. This indicator has become a portrait of the unbalancing act between intellectual development and moral development. Morality/Character towards Allah (Akhlak to Allah) can be interpreted as the attitude or actions that should be performed by humans as creatures, towards Allah as the creator. These attitudes or actions have the characteristics of moral actions as mentioned above, thus, instilling morality in the child's soul by providing true guidance and useful advice so that the teachings they receive permeate their soul. When it has integrated, it will form a personality within them that constantly performs noble deeds, goodness, and a fondness for working for the benefit of the homeland, the state, and the nation.

Abstract

The Companions of the Prophet (Sahabah) are the primary transmitters of asbab al-nuzul (occasions of Qur'anic revelation), whose direct proximity to revelatory events grants their accounts a unique epistemic privilege. However, not every Companion account constitutes a firsthand historical report (samʿi); some reflect the Companion's own interpretive assessment (raʿy) of how a verse applies to a given situation. This distinction carries profound consequences for Usul al-Fiqh: a samʿi-based account attains the status of al-marfuʿ al-hukmi and functions as authoritative bayan tasyriʿi, while a raʿy based account remains a respected but non binding scholarly opinion. This qualitative library study proposes four verifiable criteria for distinguishing between them: explicit narrative formula, biographical confirmation of the narrator, corroboration by parallel reports, and internal coherence with the verse content. Three case studies demonstrate how this distinction directly affects the normative weight of Companion legal opinions. The conclusion is that a careful, graduated reading of Companion asbab al-nuzul accounts neither blanket acceptance nor blanket skepticism is both methodologically sound and practically necessary for responsible Qur'anic interpretation and legal derivation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji secara mendalam implementasi Metode Hafalan Al-Qur'an Turki Usmani sebagai pendekatan sistematis dalam meningkatkan kualitas hafalan santri di Indonesia. Metode Usmani yang berkembang sejak masa Kesultanan Ottoman (Turki Usmani) ini memiliki kekhasan berupa sistem hafalan non-linear, penggunaan mushaf standar 15 baris, dan penekanan pada takrir (pengulangan) intensif yang terstruktur. Melalui kajian literatur komparatif dan analisis studi kasus di pesantren Sulaimaniyah yang tersebar di Jakarta, Yogyakarta, dan Surabaya dengan melibatkan 120 santri sebagai subjek penelitian, studi ini membuktikan bahwa metode Usmani secara signifikan meningkatkan retensi hafalan jangka panjang sebesar 40% dan kualitas jaudah sebesar 42% dibandingkan metode konvensional. Penelitian juga mengidentifikasi relevansi strategis antara metode ini dengan kurikulum Ilmu Al-Qur'an di Bursa Uludağ Üniversitesi (BUÜ), Turki, yang membuka peluang kolaborasi akademik internasional dalam pengembangan metodologi tahfizh modern berbasis riset. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi landasan bagi reformasi kurikulum tahfizh nasional dan penguatan kerja sama pendidikan Islam Indonesia–Turki.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tradisi Maaghak Suwek di Desa Pulau Birandang sebagai manifestasi living Qur’an, dengan menekankan bagaimana Al-Qur’an berfungsi tidak hanya sebagai teks normatif, tetapi juga sebagai kekuatan performatif dalam kehidupan sosial masyarakat. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini meliputi dua hal utama: pertama, bagaimana proses pelaksanaan tradisi Maaghak Suwek; kedua, bagaimana pemahaman dan resepsi masyarakat terhadap praktik tersebut. Penelitian ini berangkat dari hipotesis bahwa tradisi Maaghak Suwek merupakan bentuk konkret performativitas Al-Qur’an yang berfungsi sebagai motor penggerak tindakan sosial, serta membentuk makna kolektif yang mengintegrasikan dimensi religius dan agraris dalam kehidupan masyarakat. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif-etnografis melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa Al-Qur’an dihadirkan secara aktif dalam ruang sosial melalui praktik arak-arakan, pembacaan shalawat, dan ritual kolektif lainnya. Dalam kerangka living Qur’an yang dikembangkan oleh Ahmad Rafiq, temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa Al-Qur’an berfungsi secara performatif sebagai praktik yang “dilakukan” dalam kehidupan sosial. Analisis menggunakan perspektif Karl Mannheim memperlihatkan bahwa tradisi ini mengandung makna objektif, ekspresif, dan dokumenter yang merefleksikan sistem nilai masyarakat. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa tradisi Maaghak Suwek tidak hanya merepresentasikan warisan budaya, tetapi juga menjadi medium aktualisasi Al-Qur’an sebagai kekuatan sosial yang hidup, yang mampu membentuk solidaritas, memperkuat kohesi sosial, dan mengarahkan praktik kehidupan masyarakat secara kontekstual.

Abstract

Quranic proverbs are one method of conveying divine messages used to facilitate human understanding of the meaning of verses. The parables in the Quran not only function as a beauty of language, but also contain profound educational, reflective, and argumentative values. However, not all readers are able to understand the meaning of proverbs correctly without an adequate scientific approach. This study aims to analyze the concept of Quranic proverbs, their characteristics, and their function in understanding the meaning of verses. This study uses a literature study method (library research) with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data sources in this study consist of books, scientific journals, Quranic commentaries, and other literature relevant to the research topic. The results show that Quranic proverbs have various forms, such as proverbs musarrahah, kaminah, and mursalah, each of which has its own characteristics. In addition, proverbs function to facilitate understanding, strengthen messages, and provide lessons (ibrah) for their readers. Thus, understanding Quranic proverbs is crucial for interpreting verses more deeply, contextually, and with greater applicability to everyday life.

Abstract

Background. This article discusses the concept of munasabah reconstruction in the ulumul Qur’an branch. The problem is a lack of deep understanding of this concept as well as the need for a more systematic approach to implementing it. Purpose. The aim is to explore a better understanding of the concept of munasabah reconstruction and provide a clear method for applying it in the study of Qur’anic ulumul. The exegetical method used Is a comprehensive analysis of classical and modern texts that discuss munasabah in the Al-Qur’an, as well as a study of relevant methodological approaches. Method. Through this approach, researchers identify the principles underlying the concept of munasabah reconstruction, such as the relationship between the verses of the Qur’an and the historical context and social environment at the time the revelation was revealed. Results. The results of this research indicate that munasabah reconstruction plays an important role in understanding and interpreting the Qur’an more holistically. By applying these principles, readers can gain a deeper understanding of the messages of the Qur’an and their relevance to the contemporary context. Conclusion. In addition, this article also highlights the importance of developing a more systematic methodology in understanding classical concepts such as munasabah so that they can be applied more effectively in the study of Qur’anic ulumul.
