Abstract

AbstractThis paper aims to analyze Rusia’s interest in the development of Turkish Stream Project in 2014 until 2016. Energy is the most notable sector for Russia that can affect the economy-politics. From economy side, energy exports are largely included in state revenues. Politically, energy is a top priority in every political agenda and foreign policy. Energy is one of determining Russia’s foreign policy toward its energy importing countries. EU is a region that has dependence on Russian energy, especially natural gas. Therefore Russia sees EU as a great opportunity and wants to dominate European’s energy market. So the South Stream project was formed which would deliver Russian natural gas directly to Europe via the Black Sea. This is one of Russia’s step to maintain the EU’s dependence on Russia and dominating energy market. Unfortunately, this project must be stalled due to the Third Energy Package policy implemented by EU. Russia, with its ambition to dominate the European energy market, has had an alternative project to achieve that ambition. The Turkish Stream project was formed in cooperation between Russia dan Turkey. The project planned not only deliver Russian natural gas to Turkey but also Europe via Greece. Although the negotiations and deliberations of this project were delayed, the project was finally continued. Keywords : Energy, National Interest, Third Energy Package, European Union , Russia. Kata-kata Kunci: Energi, Kepentingan Nasional, Third Energy Package, Uni Eropa, Rusia.

Abstract

Monetary transactions are no longer limited to traditional patterns as electronic systems using internet technology can facilitate whenever and wherever transactions without any face-to-face interaction.  In terms of payment methods, this technology is developing and known as digital currency. Bitcoin is the digital currency with the largest market value. It is an electronic payment system based on a mathematical systems. The idea is to produce an independent currency that is not tied to a particular central authority and has very low transaction costs. Digital currency uses the concept of cryptography to provide basic security functions, such as ensuring that Bitcoin can only be spent by those who have it and it cannot be duplicated. The emergence of this currency has caused controversy in many countries because of its unregulated nature. This study examines Bitcoin and whether it is categorized as money based on the concept of money and how the three main international monetary institutions (IMF, WTO, World Bank) respond to its presence with a basic analysis using the concept of cyberpolitics. This study concludes that Bitcoin has not fully met the criteria as a currency and there are no specific rules yet regarding the existence of digital currency.

Abstract

As a tourism area that has been worldwide, Bali certainly has various problems it faces. The rapid development of tourism in Bali has resulted in many impacts resulting from this industry. The impacts resulting from the tourism industry not only provide benefits for Bali, but also provide considerable losses. One of the aspects that suffer the most from the development of tourism is the environmental aspect. As a multidimensional industry, tourism will have many significant impacts on the environment, starting from the construction of facilities, the use of transportation equipment, and the operation of the tourism industry. Therefore, Bali must prevent any damage that may be caused by the tourism industry because Bali also offers natural beauty as a tourism attraction. The ideal strategy that can be applied by Bali is to implement the Tri Hita Karana concept which consists of parayangan, pawongan, and palemahan. The implementation of the Parahyangan can be done by protecting the environment around the temple which is also a tourist destination. The implementation of pawongan is carried out by collective action between the community, government, and tourism actors to jointly realize tourism based on environmental security. The application of palemahan can be done starting from small actions, namely not littering and being able to protect the environment properly. The application of the three elements that compose Tri Hita Karana will be able to create Bali tourism based on environmental security and be able to overcome various problems that threaten the environment.

Abstract

Children of migrant workers often face barriers in accessing quality education, which can negatively impact their development and future. This international community service aims to raise the awareness of migrant workers' parents about the importance of education for their children through counseling conducted at Sentul Commmunity Learning Service, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The activity involved 20 parents of Guidance Studio students. The counseling used a participatory and inclusive approach, taking into account the participants' cultural and linguistic backgrounds. The results of this activity showed positive changes in parents' perceptions and attitudes towards education, with increased awareness of the role of education in breaking the cycle of poverty and social marginalization. Nonetheless, achieving sustainable change requires a collaborative and holistic effort involving various stakeholders, including the government, schools, civil society organizations and academics. This community service contributes to the literature on the education of migrant workers' children and emphasizes the importance of involving parents as active partners in expanding access to education for this marginalized group.

Abstract

Abstract. This study investigates how Wonosobo Regency—a region known for its cultural heritage and natural landscapes—navigates the complex interplay between economic development, environmental sustainability, and cultural preservation. It examines the role of the Knowledge-Based Economy (KBE) as a key enabler of glocalization, allowing the region to adopt global best practices while maintaining local identity. Through literature review and policy analysis, the study finds that KBE enhances sustainable tourism governance by fostering local knowledge production, innovation, and stakeholder collaboration. The application of ICT, human capital development, and data-driven policies contributes to more effective tourism management and cultural safeguarding. Moreover, circular economy principles and community-based tourism initiatives help balance growth and conservation. The findings suggest that integrating KBE strengthens Wonosobo’s global competitiveness without eroding its cultural uniqueness, offering valuable insights for policymakers and practitioners aiming to promote glocalization in culturally and ecologically significant regions.
