Abstract

Studi difokuskan pada evaluasi risiko banjir rob serta tingkat kerentanan pesisir di Kabupaten Kepulauan Anambas, khususnya di Kecamatan Palmatak dan Kute Siantan. Kajian bertujuan menganalisis tingkat kerentanan dan risiko banjir rob melalui pendekatan integratif yang mencakup aspek sosial, fisik, ekonomi, dan lingkungan, serta menyusun indeks komposit kerentanan sebagai acuan dalam perencanaan mitigasi berbasis komunitas dan strategi adaptasi multipihak. Dilakukan pada 12 desa dengan menggunakan pendekatan pemetaan sosial dan analisis spasial. Data primer diperoleh melalui survei lapangan, kuesioner, dan wawancara, sedangkan data sekunder bersumber dari BPS, BNPB, dan peta Digital Elevation Model (DEM). Analisis risiko dilakukan melalui penerapan pendekatan penilaian risiko berbasis Pedoman Umum Pengkajian Resiko Bencana, dengan mempertimbangkan aspek ancaman, kerentanan, dan kapasitas wilayah. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa banjir rob merupakan ancaman paling dominan dengan skenario terburuk berupa kenaikan muka laut hingga 5–6 meter di atas kondisi normal. Kerentanan sosial tertinggi ditemukan di Desa Tebang (53,02%) dan Ladan (52,75%), sementara kerentanan fisik terbesar tercatat di Desa Piabung dan Putik (100%). Kerentanan ekonomi relatif rendah (0–10%), sedangkan kerentanan lingkungan tertinggi (100%) terdapat di Teluk Bayur, Batu Ampar, Belibak, dan Langir. Secara komposit, indeks kerentanan tertinggi berada di Desa Tebang dan Ladan (57%). Kontribusi penelitian ini terletak pada penyajian peta kerentanan terintegrasi yang menggabungkan aspek sosial, fisik, ekonomi, dan lingkungan di kawasan pulau kecil. Hasil kajian ini dapat dijadikan dasar dalam perencanaan mitigasi berbasis masyarakat serta penyusunan strategi adaptasi multipihak, termasuk pelibatan sektor swasta melalui program CSR, guna memperkuat ketahanan masyarakat pesisir terhadap ancaman banjir rob.

Abstract

Small-scale fisheries exhibit unique, diverse, and varied characteristics in each region. These distinctive traits render small-scale fisheries challenging to regulate centrally. This research aims to compare the characteristics of land-based and island-based small-scale fisheries in Southeast Sulawesi Province. Data were collected through structured interviews involving 445 respondents from two distinct areas: North Konawe, representing land-based fisheries, and Konawe Islands, representing island-based fisheries. Both qualitative (questionnaire data) and quantitative analyses were conducted using R software. Proportion data were tested using the R ggstatsplot package, while word cloud analysis utilized the R wordcloud package. The analysis of fishing ground distribution hotspots was performed using QGIS software version 3.30. The research findings demonstrate differences across various aspects, including education levels, boat sizes, fishing frequency, monthly income, and types of captured fish. Furthermore, the study highlights that island-based small-scale fisheries hold a higher income potential compared to their landbased counterparts. These differing characteristics serve as essential considerations in developing policies that support sustainable management of small-scale fisheries based on the needs of local communities.

Abstract

Abstract The existence of the utilization of the Tanjung Lesung Special Economic Zone (SEZ) as connectivity, interaction relationships, and the balance of resource governance influence cultural ecosystem service. This research aimed to map out the social-ecological system components of coastal and marine cultural ecosystem services. The focus is on examining the connectivity network between resource governance (RG) components such as resource actors (RA), resource units (RU), and resource systems (RS). The data obtained were analyzed using the stages of social-ecological network analysis. The results show a significant influence and strong interaction between resource governance (RG) components and other components. The presence of institutional structures and typologies is a crucial component that serves as a guideline for SEZ management influenced by actor centrality through links. Several performance indicators are still lacking based on the interaction conditions, indicating the need for strategies to strengthen governance. However, a particular challenge that needs attention is the implementation of every governance strategy formulation. Cohesion among stakeholders in enhancing resource governance performance with the surrounding community is paramount. Improvement can be achieved through strong collaboration to ensure the sustainability of coastal and marine cultural ecosystem services. Highlight Research The components of the social-ecological system of cultural coastal and marine ecosystem services can be identified and analyzed in a case study of a special economic zone. The complexity of the social-ecological system was analyzed using a network perspective approach. Centrality analysis was used to determine the magnitude of influence of each component in the system. The performance condition of governance can be determined using analysis of the resource governance interactions.

Abstract

Coastal and small island ecosystems play a central role in the development and well-being of communities. In Senggarang Subdistrict, Tanjungpinang City, the condition of coastal ecosystems is a crucial focus for maintaining balance and productivity. Through community engagement activities, this initiative aims to enhance environmental awareness and knowledge among residents regarding the monitoring of the current conditions of the aquatic ecosystem in the area. The partners in this endeavor are the residents of Senggarang Subdistrict, living in proximity to the aquatic environment. The methods employed include Mapping waters condition, socialization (commencing with pre-tests and concluding with post-tests), dissemination of information through an e-catalog, and focus group discussions (FGDs). The outcomes of this initiative are mapping the potential of coastal and aquatic ecosystems, creating an e-catalog containing up-to-date information on water conditions, upgrading of community knowledge about it and identifying issues faced by the community. Through active communication with the community, challenges such as coastal cleanliness and flood disasters have been identified, requiring special attention. The significance of these engagement outcomes lies in the effort to enhance community awareness and knowledge of their environment for further actions in sustaining and managing aquatic ecosystems effectively. Abstract

Pemanasan Global merupakan fenomena meningkatnya suhu rata-rata atmosfer, daratan, dan laut. upaya mitigasi yang dapat dilakukan ialah dengan cara penyerapan karbon dari vegetasi mangrove. Untuk itu tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui estimasi stok karbon mangrove pada Kawasan Silvo ekowisata Tanjungpiayu. Data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah citra sentinel 2a dan data karbon setinggi dada (DBH). Analisis yang digunakan adalah alometrik, regresi, dan indeks NDVI. Hasil penelitian didapatkan luasan mangrove Kawasan silvoekowisata adalah 214 Ha dan terbagi atas 4 kategori; non vegetasi (8 Ha), kerapatan jarang (28 Ha), kerapatan sedang (41 Ha), dan Kerapatan Lebat (137 Ha). Sedangkan data stok karbon didapatkan hasil rata-rata 17,24 Ton/Ha, dengan stok karbon tertinggi berada pada 52,97 Ton/Ha dan nilai stok karbon terendah berada pada plot 7 sebesar 8,8 Ton/Ha. Untuk itu diperlukan penelitian lebih lanjut dengan indeks vegetasi lainnya pada lokasi yang sama ataupun berbeda.

Abstract

Seagrass has the ability to store carbon by utilizing CO2 to be used as a photosynthesis component which has the potential as blue carbon. This research was aimed to determine density, and biomass in the East and North Coastal Waters of Bintan Island; determine the carbon storage contained in seagrass in the East and North Coastal Waters of Bintan Island; and determine the relationship between density, biomass, and carbon storage in seagrasses in the East and North Coastal Waters of Bintan Island. The research was conducted in Teluk Bakau, Malang Rapat, Berakit, and Pengudang from August 2024 to May 2025. The tools and materials used were 50 × 50 cm2, oven, muffle furnace, shieve net, underwater camera, plastic bag, seagrass samples, and substrate samples. The research procedures was used systematic random sampling method and the sampling design used in determining sampling points was a nested hierarchical design. The method of calculating the value of carbon storage in seagrasses used the Walkley and Black method. The data analysis was carried out by calculating the value of density, biomass; then calculating the value of carbon storage in seagrasses, and testing the relationship between density, biomass, and carbon storage in seagrasses. Density in the eastern region ranged from 284-577 shoot/m2 and in the northern region ranged from 107-816 shoot/m2. Biomass in the eastern region ranged from 39,31-82,99 gr/m2 and in the northern region ranged from 19,39-138,55 gr/m2. Carbon storage in the eastern region ranged from 27,46-31,03% and in the northern region ranged from 23,93-28,30%. The results of the correlation test show that density has a moderate relationship and is directly proportional to biomass with a correlation value of 0.51; density has a very weak relationship and is inversely proportional to carbon storage with a value of -0.09; and biomass has a weak relationship and is inversely proportional to carbon storage with a value of -0.24.

Abstract

Seagrass has high primary productivity and is highly dependent on the availability of nitrogen as the main nutrient that supports growth, photosynthesis, and biomass, including in the waters of Bintan, Indonesia. This research was conducted to determine the density, biomass, and nitrogen content of seagrass, as well as the influence of density and biomass on nitrogen storage to support sustainable conservation management in the Eastern and Northern regions of Bintan Island. The research was conducted from August 2024 to May 2025 by taking seagrass samples using the nested hierarchical design method based on systematic random sampling. Nitrogen measurements are carried out using the Kjeldahl method which converts organic nitrogen into ammonium sulfate. Based on this research, the highest density (816.1 stands/m2) and biomass (138.56 g/m2) of seagrass were in Pengudang. The lowest density and biomass were in Berakit_2 with values of 106.8 stands/m2 and 19.03 g/m2, respectively. The highest nitrogen (0.758%) was found in 2 locations, namely Pengudang and Teluk Bakau_2, while the lowest nitrogen (0.359%) was in Berakit_1. Based on regression analysis, the density and biomass of seagrass had a significant effect on nitrogen storage with a regression value of 0.642.

Abstract

Perifiton merupakan salah satu biota yang dapat dijadikan sebagai indikator ekologis karena sifatnya yang sensitif terhadap perubahan kualitas perairan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jenis, kepadatan, indeks ekologi perifiton, status kualitas perairan Senggarang Besar, dan kaitan kepadatan perifiton epifitik dengan kualitas perairan di perairan Senggarang Besar. Titik sampling ditentukan menggunakan metode simple random sampling dan menghasilkan 10 titik sampling. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan September tahun 2022. Pengukuran parameter perairan meliputi salinitas, pH, DO, suhu, intensitas cahaya, dan kecepatan arus dilakukan secara in situ sedangkan uji analisis yang meliputi kekeruhan, nitrat, fosfat, dan kepadatan perifiton dilakukan di laboratorium. Pengambilan sampel perifiton dilakukan dengan cara mengerik seluruh permukaan daun, menggunakan 3 kali pengulangan dengan interval 10 hari dan pencacahan menggunakan metode sensus. Didapat 12 genera dengan 3 divisi yaitu dari divisi Bacillariophyta (Navicula sp., Coscinodiscus sp., Nitzschia sp., Synedra sp., Tabellaria sp., Pleurosigma sp., Cyclotella sp., Skeletonema sp., Cylindrotheca sp., dan Bacteriastrum sp.), divisi Dinophyta (Prorocentrum sp.), dan divisi Cyanophyta (Oscillatoria sp.). Jumlah kepadatan totalnya mencapai 1.675 sel/cm2 dengan rata-rata kepadatan tertinggi 125 Ind/cm2 dimiliki oleh genus Navicula sp. Indeks keanekaragaman menunjukkan kondisi tidak stabil, indeks keseragaman dan nilai dominansi menunjukkan kondisi tertekan atau terdegradasi. Status kualitas perairan Senggarang Besar berada dikategorikan tingkat pencemaran sangat ringan/fase saprobik Oligosaprobik. Parameter perairan yang memiliki kaitan erat dengan kepadatan perifiton pada minggu 1 adalah parameter kekeruhan, pada minggu 2 dan 3 parameter kecepatan arus.
