Abstract

Rancang bangun dan pengujian sistem filling pada mesin packaging otomatis berbasis microcontroller merupakan salah satu mesin yang menggunakan sistem kendali otomatis dengan berbasis Arduino Atmega328. Sistem kendali yang dipadukan dengan motor servo sebagai pengatur gerak katup sistem filling dan katup feeding serta sensor proximity IR sebagai pendeteksil ketinggian takaran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh kontruksi sistem filling mesin packaging otomatis. Pada pengujian sistem filling mesin packaging otomatis dilakukan pengujian dan pengukuran akurasi sistem. Ukuran luas penampang katup 30,2 cm2, ketinggian takaran 2 cm, luas penampang katup 30,2 cm2, dan ketinggian takaran 4 cm. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan akurasi penakaran rata-rata untuk mengemas kacang kedelai pada luas penampang katup 30,2 cm2 dengan ketinggian takaran 2 cm adalah 74,1% sedangkan dengan luas penampang katup 30,2 cm2 dengan ketinggian takaran 4 cm nilai rata ratanya adalah 79,1%.

Abstract

The covid pandemic that began in 2020 has caused enormous losses worldwide, including in Indonesia. Human-to-human contact is the source of the transmission of the covid virus, so the government urges people to maintain cleanliness when interacting. Bali is a popular destination for foreign and domestic visitors in Indonesia. Hospitality businesses in Bali unquestionably face a high risk of covid transmission; consequently, changes in hotel business processes are unavoidable; the implementation of new business processes can have a negative effect on business performance. In order to maintain Bali's reputation as the most popular tourist destination in Indonesia, the government must evaluate the performance of several hotel services that have implemented new business processes. The Aspect-Based Sentiment Analysis (ABSA) methodology can be utilized for performance evaluation. One of the finest algorithms for analyzing text, Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformer (BERT), is required for sentiment analysis. The data consists of textual customer evaluations of hotels in Bali that have implemented a new protocol or Standard Operational Procedure (SOP), retrieved from the Tripadvisor website. In the form of a number of evaluations of various aspects of the hotel, the research results can assist the government in analyzing the performance of hotels in Bali based on predetermined criteria.

Abstract

The economic conditions of salt farmers and the quality of their salt often put them in a weak bargaining position, so the price of salt at the farmer level is low. Small-scale consumption salt processing machines need to be designed to increase the value of salt so the welfare of salt farmers can increase. This study aims to design a salt washing machine to increase the NaCl content and remove other impurities such as CaSO4, MgSO4, MgCl2 and others. The machine is designed with stirrig system by maintaining the baume value in mixture of salt and brine at a value of 25-280Be. The machine is equipped with a baume sensor to control the brine baume value. The variable of washing time is varied to produce the best salt quality. This research has designed a two-level salt washing machine with a 0Be controll system that can wash salt with brine in 50 kg/hours capacity. This machine washes the salt in 2 step process. Salt washing machine driven by a 1.5 HP electric motor to stir the salt with brine so it can dissolve the impurities and retain the NaCl in crystal form. The purity of NaCl in salt increased by 7.5% after being washed for 20 minutes.

Abstract

Daarut Tauhid Boarding School Vocational School (SMKDTBS) Bandung has implemented SIAKAD Online since 2019, but the school feels that the implementation is still not optimal and needs to be redeveloped because this system has not been able to meet the needs of stakeholders and since 2021 it has no longer received financial support for development. This is a gap that must be completed by the school, considering that the development of information technology, especially in the academic field, has increased significantly, especially with the increasing trend of working from home since the pandemic. An academic information system is needed that suits the needs of stakeholders and can ensure the continuity, sustainability, and even increased achievement of SMKDTBS Bandung. The Community Service Program (PkM) will answer this need, with the development of the first phase of SIAKAD which will be carried out within a period of 4 months from March to May 2022 by the PkM team consisting of 3 lecturers and 2 students. PkM is carried out in several stages: the needs gathering stage produces ERD, use case diagrams, activity diagrams, and SIAKAD mockups; the development stage produces a system with features that have been adapted to current needs; the stage of preparing the guidebook to produce a guidebook for using SIAKAD; the training stage is carried out by training on SIAKAD installation and its development environment for teachers who act as admins; finally, the evaluation phase obtained positive feedback from the school who felt helped by the re-development of SIAKAD. After PkM is completed, it is hoped that the development of SIAKAD can continue, at a more affordable cost because it can be carried out independently by admin teachers at SMKDTBS, so that in the end all school management processes are integrated into just one system.

Abstract

Salah satu potensi yang dimiliki sumber daya alam terbesar di Indonesia adalah air. Selain kegunaanya untuk memenuhi kebutuhan hidup sehari-hari kandungan energi yang dimiliki oleh air yang mengalir dari ketinggian tertentu juga bisa dimanfaatkan sebagai pembangkit energi mekanis. Salah satu proses pembangkitan energi mekanis yang memanfaatkan energi air adalah turbin Pelton. Turbin Pelton terdiri dari satu set sudu-sudu jalan yang diputar oleh pancaran air yang disemprotkan dari satu atau lebih jet nosel. Dengan melakukan variasi sudut kemiringan nozzel dapat diperoleh torsi turbin dan daya turbin yang maksimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh variasi sudut kemiringan nozzle dan bukaan valve/katup bypass yang paling tepat terhadap daya yang dihasilkan. Pengujian dilakukan sebanyak empat kali dengan menggunakan sudut kemiringan nozzle 0o, 5o, 10o, dan 15o, dengan bukaan katup bypass sebesar 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, dan 100%. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan nilai maksimal diperoleh pada sudut kemiringan nozzle 15o, dengan bukaan katup bypass 0%. Hasil analisa menggunakan perhitungan dasar turbin Pelton menghasilkan debit air 0,00215 m3/s, torsi pengereman 8,21 Nm, Head aktual 17,32 m, percepatan jet 18,06 m/s, kecepatan linier roda turbin 6,31 m/s, dan gaya turbin teoritis sebesar 47,99 N. Adapun daya yang dihasilkan adalah sebesar 302,88-Watt untuk turbin teoritis, daya air 365,30 Watt, daya poros 550,61 Watt, serta menghasilkan efisiensi turbin sebesar 82,91 %. Pada bukaan katup 100%, putaran turbin semakin rendah disebabkan aliran fluida yang keluar dari pompa dibagi mejadi dua sehingga aliran fluida yang keluar dari nozzel semakin kecil. Oleh karenanya daya air untuk mendorong sudu turbin menjadi kurang maksimal. Kata kunci : daya turbin; katup bypass; sudut kemiringan nozzle; turbin Pelton.

Abstract

Dalam dunia industri dituntut untuk selalu meningkatkan performance dalam meningkatkan produk yang dihasilkan, maka dari itu hasil yang diperoleh tersebut tidak terlepas dari mesin atau alat yang menggunakan sistem perpipaan dalam memproses produk yang dihasilkan. Pada instalasi perpipaan banyak dipakai elbow. Salah satunya berfungsi untuk membelokan arah ditribusi aliran fluida, membagi aliran menjadi bercabang sesuai yang diinginkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh sambungan elbow terhadap koefisien kerugian tekanan akibat adanya elbow aliran fluida yang menyebabkan penurunan unjuk kerja dari suatu system. Dari hasil analisa perhitungan diperoleh nilai head loss mayor bahan galvanis pada bukaan katup 100% sebesar 0,12 m, bukaan katup 75% sebesar 0,07 m dan bukaan katup 50% sebesar 0,03 m. Dari hasil perhitungan diperoleh nilai head loss mayor bahan PVC pada bukaan katup 100% sebesar 0,21 m, bukaan katup 75% sebesar 0,12 m, dan bukaan katup 50% sebesar 0,05 m. Dari hasil perhitungan diperoleh nilai head loss minor pada alat uji ini dengan bukaan katup 100% sebesar 0,08 m, bukaan katup 75% sebesar 0,02 m dan bukaan katup 50% sebesar 0,01 m. Semakin besar bukaan katup maka semakin besar nilai head losses mayor maupun head losess minor. Sedangkan untuk pressure drop, semakin besar bukaan katup maka semakin kecil nilai pressure drop pada sistem fluida ini. Daya pompa yang dipakai pada sistem fluida hanya sebesar 7,8 watt. Kata kunci : air; elbow; debit; koefisien kerugian; perpipaan; pressure drop.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengembangkan pembuatan sepeda motor listrik Gracia TMK 19, dengan fokus pada perancangan rangka tipe double cradle dari material AISI 1015. Dua desain rangka yaitu rangka 1(a) dan rangka 2(b) dirancang menggunakan metode VDI 2221 yang melibatkan analisis kebutuhan, konseptualisasi, perancangan detail, dan evaluasi. Analisis kekuatan dilakukan menggunakan Finite Element Analysis (FEA) untuk membandingkan distribusi tegangan dan perpindahan pada kedua rangka. Uji statik dengan beban 100 kg, 150 kg, dan 200 kg menunjukkan rangka 2 sebagai desain terbaik dengan tegangan maksimal 131,31 N/mm², defleksi 0,907 mm, dan faktor keamanan 2,5 pada beban 200 kg. Hasil ini juga mengindikasikan bahwa rangka 2 paling sesuai untuk sepeda motor listrik Gracia TMK 19.

Abstract

Separation of CO2 gas from the biogas can be accomplished by adsorption process. An adsorbent has a maximum capacity, so the adsorbent will eventually be saturated at a certain time. Therefore, it is necessary to simulate the adsorption mass transfer to produce a breakthrough curve. The breakthrough curve from the simulation of adsorption mass transfer was validated with the experimental data. The research was conducted using variations in temperature and pressure. The mass transfer simulation was solved using the finite difference method. The adsorbent used in this research was 13X zeolite and the biogas was obtained from cow dung waste. Convergent curves can be obtained in numerical simulations as breakthrough curves. This research shows that adsorption should occur at low temperatures and high pressure. Column height and flow velocity also influence the breakthrough time. The comparison of the simulated breakthrough time with experimental data is not much different with R2 0.9969. The striking difference is in the adsorption zone with average relative error (ARE) values ranging from 9.57% to 20.49%. From the results of entropy, enthalpy, and Gibbs free energy calculations, the biogas adsorption research on the 13x zeolite column is an exothermic and spontaneous process

Abstract

GAKI (Gangguan Akibat Kekurangan Iodium) merupakan masalah kesehatan serius yang menyebabkan kualitas hidup dan perkembangan individu. Uji Eksperimental terhadap kualitas kadar garam berbasis variasi putaran dan waktu pengadukan penting untuk membantu mencegah GAKI, dengan mempertahankan nilai baume dari air tua pencuci garam pada nilai 25-28. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji kualitas kadar garam yang dihasilkan oleh mesin pengolahan garam dengan variasi putaran (40, 80, dan 120 rpm) dan waktu pengadukan (10, 15, dan 20 menit) dengan kadar awal yang digunakan dalam penelitian sebesar 85.67%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variasi putaran dan lama pengadukan sangat berpengaruh terhadap kualitas kadar garam. Pada penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa kecepatan putaran mesin 120 rpm dan lama pengadukan dibawah 10 Menit mendapatkan kenaikan kadar garam yang optimal sebesar 6.88% menjadi 91.55%.

Abstract

The salt washing unit is part of the salt processing machine. This unit's function is to wash raw salt with brine. This unit has a motor, agitator blade, washing chamber, and frame. The frame structure strength of the salt washing unit needs to be evaluated to ensure safety. This research aims to design the salt washing unit and obtain simulation results of frame structure strength to ensure the safety of the salt washing unit. This research was carried out by simulation to look for stress, strain, and changes in the shape of objects (displacement). The frame strength simulation was carried out using Solidwork software. The salt washing unit with a 50 kg/hour capacity has been designed. It has a cylindrical shape with 990 mm in height and 680 mm in diameter. From the simulation results of strain, it can be concluded that the minimum point is 1.80 × 108 Mpa, and the maximum point is 1.63 × 105 Mpa. From the simulation results of displacement, it can be concluded that the minimum point is 0 mm and the maximum point is 2,296 mm. The maximum stress is 5.254×106 N/m2, and the minimum stress point is 1.803×106 N/m2.
