Abstract

One way to evaluate student learning outcomes is through question processing. However, nowadays evaluations are usually carried out using conventional methods such as a paper-based test. Even though often in the implementation of evaluations, students feel less enthusiastic about their work. This study aims to identify students' enthusiasm in solving questions through the Quizizz platform. The subjects of this study were 34 students of class XI Science 4 Senior High School 1 Tahunan. This research uses a descriptive quantitative method because shows a description of the students' enthusiasm for using the Quizizz platform as a tool for solving trigonometric questions. To analyze the enthusiasm of students in solving questions through the Quizizz platform, was carried out in three stages: 1) distributing a questionnaire with 25 question items via Google Form based on five indicators that measure enthusiasm (Response, attention, concentration, willingness, and self-involvement), 2) questionnaire data analyzed based on the answer score for each question item. Based on the research results, student enthusiasm in learning evaluation on trigonometric material through the Quizizz platform got a percentage of 62.38%. So that the Quizizz platform can be an alternative for teachers in evaluating student learning outcomes to create an atmosphere of evaluation that is fun and interesting for students to follow which will increase student enthusiasm in participating in learning evaluations.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kesulitan belajar matematika materi bangun ruang dengan pembelajaran daring di SMPN 1 Leksono ditinjau dari gaya belajar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah  siswa-siswi kelas VIII SMP N 1 Leksono. Pengambilan data meliputi angket gaya belajar, lembar tes tertulis uraian, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) siswa dengan gaya belajar audio mengalami kesulitan dalam hal pemahaman konsep dan memahami informasi yang diberikan oleh soal;(2) Siswa dengan gaya belajar gabungan mengalami kesulitan dalam hal pemahaman konsep karena tidak mampu memberikan gambaran yang jelas mengenai bangun ruang;(3) Siswa dengan gaya belajar kinestetik mempunyai kesulitan dalam hal pemahaman soal, terlihat dari kurang ketelitian dalam menjawab soal, serta kesulitan dalam hal pemahaman konsep;(4) Siswa dengan gaya belajar visual mengalami kesulitan dalam hal pemahaman konsep yang matang mengenai rotasi;(5) Siswa dengan gaya belajar read-write mempunyai kesulitan dalam hal memahami maksud yang ditanyakan dalam soal.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan video belajar pada materi transformasi dengan populasi siswa kelas IX SMP N 3 Magelang Tahun Pelajaran 2020/2021. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu dengan menggunakan desain Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Instrumen dari penelitian ini berupa tes. Sedangkan teknik analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas dilanjutkan dengan uji Wilcoxon karena data tidak berdistribusi normal. Berdasarkan uji Wilcoxon signed rank test pada hasil pre-test dan post-test pada kelas eksperimen dapat dilihat bahwa asymp.Sig.(2-tailed) sebesar 0,009. Hasil tersebut < 0,05 sehingga Ha diterima artinya terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada hasil belajar siswa sebelum dan setelah diberikan video pembelajaran. Sedangkan pada kelas kontrol nilai asymp.Sig.(2-tailed) sebesar 0,052. Hasil tersebut > 0,05 sehingga H0 yang diterima artinya pemberian materi pembelajaran berupa teks tidak memiliki pengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa.Video belajar memiliki pengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa penggunaan video belajar pada materi transformasi lebih efektif daripada pembelajaran melalui teks.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the students' mistakes and explain the factors causing the errors made by students in solving maritime problems based on the Newman procedure in terms of gender. The data were collected by means of tests and unstructured interviews. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. The research subjects were 24 students, namely 12 male students and 12 female students. Various students’ mistakes in solving questions, including: 1) errors in reading; 2) errors in comprehension; 3) errors in transformation; 4) errors in processing skills; and 5) errors in encoding. The research results showed that there were differences in the types of errors of male and female students in solving maritime questions. The most mistakes made by students, namely errors in comprehension. From the research results, it was found that male students made more errors in compehension than female students. Male students made errors in comprehension by 63,4%, while female students made errors in comprehension by 59,2%. The research results also showed that female students made more errors in transformation, process skills, and encoding than male students.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk 1) Menganalisis kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi dengan menggunakan PBL berbantuan LKPD lebih baik dari pada model pembelajaran langsung dan 2) Menganalisis adanya peningkatan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi menggunakan PBL berbantuan LKPD. Penelitian dengan menggunakan desain penelitian yaitu kuasi eksperimen bentuk nonequivalent control group design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VII D dan VII E SMP Negeri 5 Magelang yang dipilih secara cluster random sampling. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian yaitu diperoleh perhitungan uji mann whitney dengan nilai Z_hitung sebesar 4,399 dan Z_tabel sebesar 1,960, sehingga 4,399 > 1,960 artinya H_1 diterima. Selain itu, nilai rerata N.Gain kelas eksperimen diperoleh 0,56 dan kelas kontrol yaitu 0,35. Kesimpulan penelitian ini yaitu 1) kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi dengan menggunakan PBL berbantuan LKPD lebih baik dari model pembelajaran langsung, 2) ada peningkatan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi menggunakan PBL berbantuan LKPD dengan kategori sedang.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the critical thinking ability of mathematics students of class VIII of Junior High School N 2 Magelang. The subjects in the study were students of grades VIII-A and VIII-D. The research was carried out in the even semester of the 2021/2022 school year. The data collected is in the form of learning style questionnaire results, mathematical critical thinking ability tests, and interviews in an unscathodox manner. Learning style questionnaires are used to determine students' learning styles, tests to measure mathematical critical thinking ability consist of four questions about the description of polyhedron materials. The results of the questionnaire and test were then analyzed according to the indicators of mathematical critical thinking ability used in this study, namely providing basic clarification, bases for a decision, inference, advanced clarification, supposition and integration. The results of data analysis show that students' critical thinking ability in visual, auditorial, and kinesthetic learning styles is classified as moderate. The results of this study can provide information to teachers about students' critical thinking ability so that teachers are expected to be able to design learning activities that can improve students' critical thinking skills to be good.

Abstract

This study aims to produce a product in the form of E-LKPD based on Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) on linear program materials to improve problem solving mathematical skills that is valid, practical, and effective. The type of research is research and development or R&D (research and development). The development model used is the ADDIE model, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The subjects of this study were class XI IPA 3 and XI IPA 4 SMAN 2 Grabag, which were divided into experiment classes and control classes. Data collection instruments in the form of questionnaires and pretest-posttest questions. The results of the study obtained were E-LKPD which is very valid with a validity score of 91.7%, very practical with a practicality score of 80.9, and effectiveto improve problem solving mathematical skills with an N-Gain value of 0.61 with a moderate improvement category

Abstract

This study aims to see the difference in the average mathematical literacy skills using the Survey Question Read Reflect Recite Review (SQ4R) model with the direct learning model and to see how effective the Survey Question Read Reflect Recite Review (SQ4R) model is to improve mathematical literacy skills in two-variable linear security system materials. This research approach is quantitatively through the design of quasi experimental pretest posttest. The population is all students of class VIII MTs N 1 Magelang City, while the sample is selected through random sampling and selects classes VIII A and VIII C as samples. Research data were collected through mathematical literacy proficiency tests in the form of pretests and posttests. Furthermore, the data were analyzed through SPSS with an Independent sample t test and an N-Gain test. The results showed that the results showed that 1) there was an average difference between the direct learning model and the SQ4R learning model; and 2) the SQ4R model is more effective for improving mathematical literacy skills

Abstract

The lack of e-learning management skills  carried out during the Covid-19 pandemic has an impact on the administration  of e-learning  that is not neat, starting from the presentation, learning materials for one semester, assignments and assessments for semester levels and end-of-semester assessments.   The problems experienced by partners are because partners, especially teachers at SMPN 1 Secang and SMPN 3 Secang, only know makeshift e-learning without good managerial knowledge.  This training activity aims to make trainees get a good understanding in managing e-learning using the google clasroom and moodle platforms.  The method of implementing this activity is divided into three main stages, namely planning, implementing and evaluating.  The participants of this training consisted of teachers from SMPN 1 Secang and SMPN 3 Secang. The result is that trainees get a good understanding of managing e-learning using the google clasroom and moodle platforms

Abstract

The existence of a Student Worksheet (LKPD) is able to improve the ability to understand students' concepts. This research aims to develop LKPD based on ethnomathematics of batik motifs typical of Magelang in terms of the ability to understand concepts based on validity, practicality, and effectiveness in geometric transformation materials. The type of research used is research and development (R&D) with a 4D model, namely the defining stage, the design stage, the development stage, and the deployment stage. This study was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Tegalrejo with a sample of 31 students in class IX B. The results showed that an LKPD based on ethnomathematics of batik motifs typical of Magelang was produced to increase understanding of the concept of geometric transformation that is valid or feasible in terms of the validity value of LKPD by material expert validators and teaching material expert validators, which is 86.31% with a very valid category. Judging from the practicality value of LKPD by the response of students, which is 89.61% with a very practical category. The results of the standard gain increased concept understanding ability were obtained by 5 low classification learners, 10 medium classification students, and 16 high classification students. Increasing understanding of the concept of geometric transformation using LKPD based on ethnomathematics of batik motifs typical of Magelang in terms of the effectiveness value of the pretest and posttest results calculated using the standard gain formula <g> , which is 0.62 with a moderate category, so that LKPD is said to be effective.
