Abstract

Students with disabilities face a wide range of obstacles to their academic and personal growth. Because of this, they require educational services tailored to the specific requirements of each student. Even with these disadvantages, deaf pupils must study mathematics. Therefore, there is a need for mathematical learning materials that take into account the specific characteristics and requirements of deaf children. This investigation is a case study of qualitative research. Deaf pupils are the focus of this study. Observation, questionnaires, and in-person interviews were employed to compile the data. In this study, we employ a validity technique known as "source triangulation." The research found that because deaf children rely so heavily on visual cues for knowledge acquisition, tactile learning materials are essential for them to succeed in mathematics. Knowledge can also be more effectively transmitted through the use of learning material that encourages dialogue between instructors and students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the ability to understand mathematical concepts of students who were taught with the Google Site-assisted CMP learning model better than those taught with the direct learning model. The next objective is to analyze the ability to improve understanding of mathematical concepts taught with the Google Site-assisted CMP learning model for derived material. This research is quantitative research with quasi-experimental design. The nonequivalent control group design was used as a form of quasi-experimental, by comparing two samples of 44 students from class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 2 Magelang who were randomly selected. From the Independent Sample t-Test test it produces a value of  then  is rejected and  is accepted which means the ability to understand mathematical concepts taught with the Google Site-assisted CMP learning model is better than the direct learning model. Then, the average N-Gain test was 0.38 and proved that there was an increase taught by the Google Site-assisted CMP learning model for derivative material in the medium category. From the results of hypothesis testing, it can be concluded that the ability to understand mathematical concepts taught by the Google Site-assisted CMP learning model is better than the direct learning model for derivative material, and there is an increase in the moderate category.

Abstract

Numerical literacy ability is an important ability that students must have. This study aims to analyze the impact of the Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education learning model (PMRI) using ethnomathematics worksheet media on students' numeracy literacy skills related to students' learning interests. This research is quantitative research with a quasi-experimental design. The samples in this study were students of class VIII D and VIII F SMP Negeri 6 Magelang who were selected through cluster random sampling technique. In this study, the instrument used was numeracy literacy tests and student learning interest questionnaires. Based on data analysis calculations, the results show that: (1) The numeracy literacy skills of students who take PMRI learning assisted by ethnomathematics worksheets are better than students who take PMRI learning; (2) Students with high learning interest have better numeracy skills than students with moderate learning interest, students with moderate learning interest have the same good numeracy literacy skills as students who have low learning interest, and students with high learning interest have the ability better numeracy literacy than students with low interest in learning; (3) There is no interaction between the learning model and learning interest on students' numeracy literacy skills.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of developing BATAR learning media with the RME approach to help improve mathematical understanding skills. This study uses the ADDIE development model. The subjects of this study were students in grades 8F and 8E at Junior High School 2 Magelang. The results showed that BATAR learning media were in the very valid category with a proportion of 95% of the validity of the material and 87.27% of the validity of the media, the media were in the very practical category with a proportion of 91.27%. Then, the media fulfills the effective aspect with an N-Gain value of 0.71. This can be interpreted that the development of BATAR learning media with the RME approach is stated to be valid, practical and effective

Abstract

As many as 7.03% of people with disabilities in Indonesia are deaf people. The problem for deaf students is the lack of mathematics learning resources during learning and the low mathematical communication skills of deaf students. The purpose of this study is to analyze the development of sign language learning videos to improve mathematical communication of deaf students of fractional material in terms of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The method used is the R&D method with a 4D model. The results showed that the validity of the media resulted in a very valid category by sign language experts with a score of 85% and material experts with a score of 83% and categories valid by media experts with a score of 78.5%. The results of media practicality of 100% for teacher and student responses and learning implementation questionnaires are said to be very practical. The results of the control class pretest and the experiment resulted in a sig value. > 0.05, then the data is normal. Homogeneity test with (6,14) <  (19) on pretest questions and (4,68) <  (19) on posttest questions then homogeneous data. Student scores resulted in a difference in the average student learning outcomes between the experimental class and the control class indicated by the T test results with the sig value. (0.001) < 0.05. The average value of the N Gain of the experimental class is greater than that of the control class, which is 0.9721 with a high category. so that the media is said to be valid, practical, and effective.

Abstract

The problem in this study is the limitations of mathematics learning media that are suitable for the conditions of deaf students. So, the researcher developed an assistive math teaching aid for deaf students. This study aimed to determine the effect of using assistive learning technology given to hearing impairment students. This research focuses on improving the representation ability of hearing impairment students on the topic of fractional operations. This research is a quantitative study with a pretest-posttest control design. This research was conducted on hearing impairment students with mild to severe categories without intellectual impairment. The number of hearing impairment students involved was 12 students at a special type B school in Magelang City, Indonesia. The N-Gain test was used in this study to measure the improvement in the representation ability of hearing impairment students. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that assistive learning positively affected the representation ability of hearing impairment students. Based on the results of the N-Gain test, an increase of 0.972 was obtained. In addition, the use of assistive learning technology provides a learning experience that trains the independence of hearing impairment students. The teacher's role as a facilitator in the classroom can be maximized because topics can be accessed anywhere and anytime.

Abstract

Kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa SMP Negeri 1 Magelang masih dalam kelompok rendah. Hal ini disebabkan model serta media pembelajaran belum beragam, sehingga dapat berpengaruh bagi keaktifan dan kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa. Penelitian ini mempunyai tujuan guna menganalisis implementasi model pembelajaran TGT berbantuan ULTRAPHY bagi kemampuan pemahaman matematis. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif melalui metodologi eksperimen semu. Siswa kelas VIII B menjadi kelas eksperimen serta siswa kelas VIII C menjadi kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan yakni angket, pedoman wawancara, lembar observasi, serta tes. Mengacu dari hasil analisis data dengan Independent Simple t-test serta uji N-Gain didapat 1) ketidaksamaan kemampuan pemahaman matematis pada model pembelajaran TGT berbantuan ULTRAPHY dan model pembelajaran langsung; dan 2) kenaikan kemampuan pemahaman matematis yang lebih baik pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Simpulan pengamatan ini, yaitu 1) siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran melalui model pembelajaran TGT berbantuan ULTRAPHY memiliki kemampuan pemahaman matematis yang cenderung baik dibanding melalui model pembelajaran langsung; dan 2) adanya kenaikan pemahaman matematis cukup baik pada siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran melalui model pembelajaran TGT berbantuan ULTRAPHY dibanding melalui model pembelajaran langsung.

Abstract

Siswa SMP N 2 Temanggung memiliki kemampuan penalaran matematis sedang, berdasarkan tes yang telah dilakukan. Hal ini disebabkan oleh fakta bahwa siswa tidak memiliki minat atau keinginan untuk belajar di kelas, dan mereka masih cenderung pasif. Oleh karena itu, model pembelajaran yang menyenangkan dan dapat menarik minat siswa untuk berpartisipasi secara aktif di kelas sangat penting. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat ketuntasan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa yang diajar dengan model PjBL berbasis gamifikasi serta siswa yang diajar dengan model PjBL saja. Selanjutnya yaitu menganalisis kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa dengan model PjBL berbasis gamifikasi dibandingkan dengan model PjBL saja serta menganalisis peningkatan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa dari kedua kelas. Penelitian ini merupakan quasi eksperimen yang menggunakan desain grup kontrol pretest-postest dengan cluster random sampling. Kelas VIII G terpilih sebagai kelas eksperimen dan Kelas VIII H terpilih sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan termasuk pedoman wawancara, lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, lembar validasi, dan soal tes kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji statistik Z untuk hipotesis pertama dan kedua, uji Independent Sample t-Test untuk hipotesis ketiga, serta uji Paired Sample t-Test dan analisis N-Gain untuk hipotesis keempat. Hasil uji hipotesis pertama diperoleh z-hitung = -1,48 < -z-tabel = -1,64 dimana H0 diterima dan hasil uji hipotesis kedua diperoleh z-hitung = -5,19 < -z-tabel = -1,64 dimana H0 ditolak. Selanjutnya hasil uji hipotesis ketiga diperoleh nilai t-hitung = -2,56 < t-tabel = 2,05 dimana H0 ditolak. Terakhir hasil uji hipotesis keempat kelas eksperimen diperoleh t-hitung = -4,83 < t-tabel = 2,05 dimana H0 ditolak, pada kelas kontrol diperoleh nilai t-hitung = -2,56 < t-tabel = 2,05 dimana H0 ditolak juga, sedangkan perhitungan N-Gain kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol masing-masing diperoleh skor 0,30 dan 0,14. Berdasarkan pengujian didapat kesimpulan bahwa kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa di kelas eksperimen mencapai ketuntasan secara klasikal. Sedangkan kelas kontrol belum mencapai ketuntasan secara klasikal. Selanjutnya rata-rata kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa kelas eksperimen lebih baik daripada kelas kontrol, serta peningkatan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa kelas eksperimen pada kategori sedang, sedangkan peningkatan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa kelas kontrol pada kategori rendah.

Abstract

 Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ketuntasan secara klasikal aktivitas Quick on The Draw melalui model pembelajaran Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa dan mengetahui perbandingan rata-rata dari implementasi aktivitas Quick on The Draw melalui model pembelajaran Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa dengan model pembelajaran langsung.Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi experiment dengan jenis penelitian the nonequivalent posttest-only control group. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Secang yaitu kelas eksperimen dengan jumlah siswa 33 dan kelas kontrol dengan jumlah siswa 34. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah cluster random sampling. Kelas eksperimen diberikan perlakuan dengan aktivitas Quick on The Draw melalui model pembelajaran TAPPS terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa, sedangkan kelas kontrol diberikan perlakuan dengan model pembelajaran langsung.Hasil pengujian hipotesis pertama menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis Siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan aktivitas Quick on The Draw melalui model pembelajaran TAPPS mencapai ketuntasan secara klasikal. Hal ini ditunjukkan oleh tingkat ketuntasan klasikal kelas eksperimen mencapai 75,8%. Hasil pengujian hipotesis kedua menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan aktivitas Quick on The Draw melalui model pembelajaran TAPPS lebih baik daripada siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran langsung.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi aktivitas Quick on the Draw melalui model pembelajaran Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving lebih efektif dalam mengembangkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Oleh karena itu, disarankan bagi guru untuk mengimplementasikan model pembelajaran ini dalam proses pembelajaran matematika di kelas.

Abstract

Kelas eksperimen diberikan perlakuan dengan aktivitas Quick on The Draw melalui model pembelajaran TAPPS terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa, sedangkan kelas kontrol diberikan perlakuan dengan model pembelajaran langsung.Hasil pengujian hipotesis pertama menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis Siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan aktivitas Quick on The Draw melalui model pembelajaran TAPPS mencapai ketuntasan secara klasikal. Hal ini ditunjukkan oleh tingkat ketuntasan klasikal kelas eksperimen mencapai 75,8%. Hasil pengujian hipotesis kedua menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan aktivitas Quick on The Draw melalui model pembelajaran TAPPS lebih baik daripada siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran langsung.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi aktivitas Quick on the Draw melalui model pembelajaran Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving lebih efektif dalam mengembangkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Oleh karena itu, disarankan bagi guru untuk mengimplementasikan model pembelajaran ini dalam proses pembelajaran matematika di kelas.
