Abstract

Tujuan penelitian yaitu (1) untuk menganalisis tingkat ketuntasan kemampuan koneksi matematis peserta didik yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran RME; (2) untuk menganalisis tingkat ketuntasan kemampuan koneksi matematis peserta didik yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung; dan (3) untuk menganalisis perbandingan kemampuan koneksi matematis peserta didik yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran RME berbantuan LKPD dengan kemampuan koneksi matematis peserta didik yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran langsung. Penelitian ini memakai pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif berjenis quasi experiment design berbentuk post-test only control group design dengan populasi penelitian ialah peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Magelang tahun pelajaran 2022/2023. Sampel dipilih dengan teknik cluster random sampling, dan didapatkan kelas VIII C menjadi kelas eksperimen, sedangkan kelas VIII A menjadi kelas kontrol. Data penelitian didapatkan melalui tes kemampuan koneksi matematis peserta didik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh bahwa kemampuan koneksi matematis peserta didik di kelas eksperimen mencapai ketuntasan. Sementara kemampuan koneksi matematis peserta didik di kelas kontrol belum mencapai ketuntasan. Sementara itu, rata-rata kemampuan koneksi matematis peserta didik yang menerapkan model pembelajaran RME berbantuan LKPD lebih baik daripada kemampuan koneksi matematis peserta didik yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran langsung.

Abstract

Program Lokakarya Kepenulisan Puisi merupakan upaya untuk mengatasi permasalahan rendahnya minat menulis kreatif dan apresiasi sastra di kalangan siswa MTsN 1 Kota Magelang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Participatory Action Research (PAR) dengan melibatkan siswa kelas VII dan VIII sebagai subjek sekaligus partisipan aktif. Pelaksanaan program terdiri dari lima tahapan sistematis yaitu pengajuan proposal, perencanaan, pelaksanaan seminar, evaluasi, dan pelaporan hasil. Kegiatan utama berupa seminar kepenulisan puisi yang menghadirkan Rahma Ade Triana, Duta Bahasa Jawa Tengah, sebagai narasumber yang menyampaikan materi komprehensif mengenai teknik penulisan puisi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan antusiasme dan pemahaman siswa terhadap literasi kreatif, yang tercermin dari aktifnya partisipasi dalam diskusi dan tanya jawab. Program ini berhasil memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap pengembangan budaya literasi di lingkungan sekolah dan dapat menjadi model untuk implementasi program serupa di institusi pendidikan lainnya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran AIR berbantuan Powtoon, model pembelajaran TTW berbantuan Powtoon, dan model pembelajaran konvensional. Penelitian eksperimen ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan bentuk desain eksperimen semu yaitu nonequivalent posttest-only control group design. Instrumen penelitian meliputi pedoman wawancara, lembar observasi, lembar validasi, dan tes. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini melalui wawancara, observasi, angket, tes, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa hipotesis pertama H0 diterima karena nilai -Z(0,025) = -1,96 ≤ Zhitung = 0,479 ≤ Z0,025 = 1,96, hipotesis kedua H0 ditolak karena nilai Zhitung = 4,117 > Z0,05 = 1,645, dan hipotesis ketiga H0 ditolak karena nilai Zhitung = 3,858 > Z0,05 = 1,645. Analisis data tersebut menggun akan uji post hoc (Mann-Whitney). Kesimpulannya adalah bahwa siswa yang belajar dengan model pembelajaran AIR dan TTW berbantuan Powtoon menunjukkan kemampuan yang setara dalam komunikasi matematis. Kemudian, temuan di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang belajar dengan model AIR dan TTW dengan bantuan Powtoon lebih baik dalam berkomunikasi secara matematis daripada yang diterangkan melalui pendekatan konvensional. Dengan demikian, saran yang bisa diberikan adalah pendekatan pembelajaran AIR berbantuan Powtoon dan pendekatan pembelajaran TTW berbantuan Powtoon dapat digunakan dan dikembangkan untuk kegiatan belajar mengajar matematika dengan materi lain serta untuk mengukur kemampuan kognitif matematika lainnya.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by worksheet on the critical thinking ability of students. This quasi-experimental study employs the nonequivalent posttest-only control group design with the cluster random sampling technique. The study sample consists of students from classes VII B and VII C in one of the Public Junior High Schools in Magelang, Central Java, Indonesia. The research instruments used are learning tools in the form of worksheet and critical thinking ability tests. The results of this research are; 1) students who are taught using the PBL learning model assisted by worksheet against critical thinking ability are said to be effective by obtaining learning completion has reached 75%, 2) students who are taught using the direct learning model against critical thinking ability are said to be ineffective by obtaining learning completion has not reached 75%, 3) critical thinking ability of learners taught using the worksheet-assisted PBL model more effective than using the direct learning model. This study implies differences in students' critical thinking abilities when comparing the worksheet-assisted PBL learning model to the direct learning model. Education needs to apply appropriate learning models to develop students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of the Connected Mathematics Project (CMP) learning model in improving students' mathematical communication skills at MA Madarijul Huda Pati. Because of 46.15% of students demonstrating very low skills and 23.07% falling into the low category, the study aims to: (1) analyze the impact of CMP on mathematical communication skills, (2) compare skills among students with high, moderate, and low self esteem, and (3) explore the interaction between CMP and self esteem. Employing a quantitative quasi-experimental approach, the study involves class XI students selected through cluster random sampling. Results indicate a significant improvement in mathematical communication skills through CMP. Students with high self esteem outperform those with moderate self esteem, while those with moderate self esteem fare better than those with low self esteem. Additionally, students with high self esteem exhibit superior mathematical communication skills compared to students with low self esteem. Notably, an interaction between the learning model and self esteem was observed, influencing mathematical communication skills.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a flipbook-based e-module on linear programming material for students that meets the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness, making it suitable for learning. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE development model which includes five stages, namely: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation; and Evaluation. The research instruments included an expert validation sheet, a student response questionnaire, and a learning outcome test. The e-module's validity was assessed by subject-matter, media, and language experts using a 1–5 Likert scale, yielding an average score of 126 (max 135), indicating very high validity. Practicality was measured through student responses on ease of use, display, and learning benefits, with 52.5% rating it as very practical and 47.5% as practical. The e-module's effectiveness was assessed based on student learning outcomes, with a mean of 90.25 and 97.5% achieving scores above the Minimum Completion Level (≥75). The results indicate that this flipbook-based e-module is valid, practical, and effective for use in linear programming lectures. Consequently, this e-module has the potential to improve the quality of mathematics learning, particularly in understanding linear programming concepts, and to encourage student independence in learning through an interactive, accessible presentation of materials.

Abstract

Effective mathematical representation is a fundamental component of mathematical problem-solving; however, many students experience persistent difficulties in developing this ability. This study aims to (1) examine differences in students’ mathematical representation abilities between those taught using the reciprocal teaching–learning model and those taught through direct instruction, (2) compare mathematical representation abilities among students with high, medium, and low self-esteem, and (3) investigate the interaction between learning model and self-esteem. This study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using a nonequivalent posttest-only control group. The experimental class consisted of 5 students with high self-esteem, 24 with medium self-esteem, and 3 with low self-esteem, while the control class included 6, 20, and 6 students in the respective categories. Data were analyzed using a two-way ANOVA. The results indicate that (1) students taught through the reciprocal teaching–learning model demonstrated significantly higher mathematical representation abilities than those taught using direct instruction, (2) mathematical representation abilities differed significantly across levels of self-esteem, and (3) there was no significant interaction between the learning model and self-esteem. In conclusion, the reciprocal teaching–learning model is more effective than direct instruction in enhancing students’ mathematical representation abilities, regardless of their self-esteem levels. The contribution of this study lies in providing empirical evidence that reciprocal teaching–learning can serve as an effective instructional model for strengthening mathematical representation skills while clarifying the independent role of self-esteem as an affective factor in mathematics learning.

Abstract

Anak berkebutuhan khusus merupakan kelompok rentan terhadap kejahatan seksual karena keterbatasan pemahaman informasi yang mereka dapatkan. Oleh karena itu, perlu memberikan edukasi pencegahan pelecehan seksual kepada anak berkebutuhan khusus sebagai upaya perlindungan diri melalui pengenalan area-area tubuh yang boleh dan tidak boleh disentuh oleh orang lain. Permasalahan yang dialami mitra adalah belum adanya edukasi mengenai pencegahan pelecehan seksual yang dilakukan. Selain itu, pelatihan edukasi belum menggunakan media kreatif. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan lima tahapan yaitu analisis situasi, penyusunan rencana kegiatan, pelaksanaan pelatihan, evaluasi, dan pelaporan kegiatan. Pelaksanaan pelatihan meliputi pengenalan anggota tubuh, edukasi anggota tubuh yang tidak boleh disentuh, dan pengenalan emosi. Lembar evaluasi yang digunakan adalah media wayang yang diberikan kepada peserta sebagai lembar kerja untuk ditandai area tubuh yang boleh dan tidak boleh disentuh. Peserta adalah anak berkebutuhan khusus tunagrahita yang berjumlah 42 orang. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa 45% mayoritas siswa telah mampu menunjukkan area tubuh yang boleh disentuh. Sementara 57% mayoritas siswa telah mampu menunjukkan area tubuh yang tidak boleh disentuh. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat dimaknai bahwa program memberikan dampak yang positif terhadap pemahaman siswa untuk mengenali dan menyadari batasan privasi tentang tubuh sebagai upaya pencegahan pelecehan seksual.
