Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis puisi siswa dengan teknik akrostik pada siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 010 Laboy Jaya Kecamatan Bangkinang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (Class Action Reaserch) yang terdiri dari dua siklus yang dimana setiap siklus dilaksanakan sebanyak dua kali pertemuan. Prosedur penelitian ini meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah kelas IV SD Negeri 010 Laboy Jaya Kabupaten Kampar sebanyak 15 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada siklus pertama yang tuntas secara individual dari 15 siswa sebanyak 12 siswa atau 80% yang memenuhi kriteria ketuntasan minimal (KKM) atau berada pada kategori Baik. Secara klasikal tergolong cukup karena nilai rata-rata diperoleh sebesar 69,3. Sedangkan pada siklus II dimana dari 15 siswa terdapat 14 siswa atau 93% telah memenuhi KKM dan secara klasikal tergolong baik yaitu nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh sebesar 82,6%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa keterampilan menulis puisi siswa pada siswa kelas IV SDN 010 Laboy Jaya Kecamatan Bangkinang Kabupaten Kampar melalui penerapan teknik akrostik mengalami peningkatan.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of the Value Clarification Technique (VCT) learning model assisted by question card media on the critical thinking ability of elementary school students. The research was conducted at UPT SDM 002 Penyasawan involving 36 fifth-grade students divided into two classes. This study employed a quasi-experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design and a quantitative approach. The instruments used to measure students' critical thinking skills were essay tests and observation sheets. Quantitative data analysis was processed using SPSS version 25. The results showed that students taught using the VCT learning model assisted by question cards had higher critical thinking skills compared to those taught using conventional methods. Based on the independent sample t-test, the significance value obtained was 0.000 < 0.05, with the experimental class scoring an average of 84.67, while the control class scored 76.22. This indicates that the VCT learning model assisted by question cards is more effective in improving students’ critical thinking skills. Thus, this model can be an alternative solution in Pancasila Education learning to develop students’ critical thinking at the elementary level.

Abstract

The background of this research is the low understanding of the concept of multiplication in mathematics learning of grade III students. This study aims to improve the ability to understand the concept of socialization of class III students of SDN 003 Bangkinang. This study is a classroom action research (CAR) which is carried out in two cycles and each cycle consists of two meetings. The subjects in this study were all class III students totaling 26 students. Data collection techniques were in the form of observation, documentation and tests. While the data analysis technique used was a combination of quantitative data and qualitative data. Based on the results of cycle 1, there were 11 students who completed the study with a percentage of 42.30% with an overall average of 67.88 and at the second meeting it increased to 14 students with a percentage of 53.84% with an overall average of 72.19. While in cycle II, meeting I, there were 19 students who completed the study with a percentage of 73.07% with an overall average of 77.42 and there was an increase at the second meeting to 24 students with a percentage of 92.30% with an overall average of 87.80. Based on the results of this study, it shows that by applying Contextual Teaching and Learning learning, (CTL) can improve the understanding of mathematical multiplication concepts of grade III students at SDN 003 Bangkinang.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low problem-solving ability of fifth-grade students, especially in mathematics learning. This research aims to improve the problem-solving ability of class V-A students at UPT SDN 001 Air Tiris. The low problem-solving ability can be improved by using the STAD model based on gamification. This research is a classroom action research, conducted in two cycles and each cycle consists of two meetings. The subjects in this study were 20 students and the observers were the class V-A teacher and peers, while the object was using the STAD model based on gamification to improve students' problem-solving ability. The research instruments consisted of observation sheets of teacher and student activities, test sheets, and documentation sheets. Meanwhile, the data analysis techniques used were qualitative and quantitative. Based on the results of the research conducted through two cycles, in cycle I meeting I the students' problem-solving ability was in the very poor category 45%, and meeting II was in the very poor category 55%. Whereas in cycle II meeting I the students' problem-solving ability was in the poor category 65% and in meeting II in the very good category 90%. Based on these results, it shows that using the STAD model based on gamification can improve the problem-solving ability of class V-A students at UPT SDN 001 Air Tiris.
