Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya tingkat kemampuan membaca awal siswa kelas I SD Muhammadiyah 7 Surakarta. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan membaca permulaan dengan metode SAS pada siswa kelas 1 Sekolah Dasar. Metode penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas I yang berjumlah 24 siswa yang terdiri dari 16 siswa laki-laki dan 8 siswa perempuan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik observasi, tes keterampilan membaca, dan dokumen. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan data tes keterampilan membaca siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa sebelum dilakukan tindakan hanya 7 siswa atau 29,16% yang tuntas. Sedangkan pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 13 siswa atau 54,16%. Pada siklus II meningkat lagi hingga mencapai 22 siswa atau persentase 91,66%. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode struktural analitis sintetik dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca awal siswa SD Muhammadiyah 7 Surakarta.

Abstract

The disaster risk index in Sragen Regency had a moderate threat class that could increase the potential for disaster. This required disaster-related knowledge that could be obtained through disaster literacy activities. This study aimed to determine the effect of the level of disaster literacy of Muhammadiyah 1 Sragen High School students on disaster knowledge in Sragen Regency. The research method used was quantitative research with a correlation design obtained using a questionnaire specifically designed for data collection. The results of this study indicate that the level of disaster literacy of Muhammadiyah 1 Sragen High School students is categorized as high with an average score of 62%. Second, the level of students' disaster knowledge is categorized as moderate, with an average score of 70%. Statistical tests show that there is a strong relationship between disaster literacy and students' disaster knowledge with a significant value of 0.579. Based on data analysis, the conclusion is that disaster literacy plays a part in increasing disaster-related knowledge to reduce disaster risk.

Abstract

One of the risk components that are most vulnerable to earthquake disasters is children. Klaten Regency is one of the areas frequently shaken by earthquakes. Therefore, this study aims to measure students' adaptive capacity and resilience to earthquakes in the Klaten Regency. Respondents in this study were students of SMP M 8 Wedi, MTs M 10 Wedi, and SMP M 21gantiwarno, Klaten Regency. The adaptive capacity of students is measured based on institutional memory, innovative learning, and connectedness. In contrast, students' resilience level is measured based on emotion regulation, control over problems, optimism, empathy, self-efficacy, ability to analyze issues, and achievement. Data were collected using a questionnaire and processed using descriptive statistics. The level of adaptive capacity and resilience of the student community to natural disasters has different characteristics due to the influence of several factors such as the location of the school in a disaster-prone area, the integration of disaster material into learning, experience in disaster emergency response conditions, school policies on disaster mitigation and family or community factors environment. The best level of adaptive capacity is found in SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Wedi with 62.90%, and MTs Muhammadiyah 10 Wedi has a poor level of adaptive capacity with 44.32%. Moreover, based on gender characteristics, the level of adaptive capacity of male students is better than female students, with the lowest percentage being female at MTs Muhammadiyah 10 Wedi. The highest level of student resilience is found at MTs Muhammadiyah 10 Wedi at 61.36%, while SMP Muhammadiyah 21 Gantiwarno is classified as poor at 33.33%. Based on gender characteristics, the highest level of resilience is female at MTs Muhammadiyah 10 Wedi, with 91.67%.

Abstract

Mathematics learning is still considered difficult for some students due to the abundance of numerical information, which affects students' learning outcomes. This study aims to improve the mathematics learning outcomes of third-grade students at SD 1 Al-Islam Surakarta on the topic of measurement using measurement cards as a learning medium. This research uses the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method with a quantitative approach. Data analysis techniques utilize descriptive statistical methods in the form of percentages. Data collection techniques include observations, interviews, and cognitive tests. The results show that students' learning completeness improved in each cycle. In the pre-cycle, the completion percentage reached 48%. After the application of the measurement card medium in Cycle I, the learning completeness increased to 68%, and in Cycle II, there was a significant improvement of 12%, reaching a learning completeness of 80%, with an average score of 85.6. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of measurement cards can enhance students' learning outcomes in the mathematics measurement topic.

Abstract

Indonesia's food consumption rises as a result of the country's rapid population expansion. To preserve food security, it is required to fulfill the community's food requirements so that the people's welfare is ensured. This article aims to find out the efforts made by the villagers of Jerukawit Karanganyar to preserve food security through the care of the garden medicinal plants (asman toga). The community of Jeruksawit Karanganyar created a group to plant toga plants on the empty area surrounding their home. There are eleven dasa wisma target groups and one core group. According to the survey's findings, market-sold plant output remains low. As a result of an ineffective marketing plan, support is still required.

Abstract

Umbulrejo Village has interesting and unique natural tourism potential. This village has officially become a tourist village and has had a pokdarwis (tourism awareness group); however, after the pandemic, the number of tourists coming was very small, so it had an impact on the economy of the community in Umbulrejo Village. Based on the potential and problems experienced by the Umbulrejo pokdarwis, it is known that the capacity of human resources in managing the Umbulrejo Tourism Village is very limited, so that tourism management is not optimal. The purpose of this community service activity is to increase the managerial capacity of the tourist village for the Umbulrejo pokdarwis. This community empowerment activity is carried out through three stages, namely the awareness and behavior formation stage, the transformation stage, and the intellectual enhancement stage. From the results of this community empowerment activity, the following results were obtained: 1) the awareness and behavior formation stage, namely, the community around the Umbulrejo Tourism Village must start building networks and working together as a team, especially between homestay providers and pokdarwis administrators. This stage has been carried out well, and intensive communication has been realized between pokdarwis administrators and homestay providers; 2) the transformation stage, namely, the community begins to integrate local culture into tourism activities. The community prepares a tour package that is integrated with the appearance of local culture in (Umbulrejo Tourism Village; 3) the intellectual development stage, namely the creation of social media for promotion with an attractive and informative design. The Pokdarwis management already has several social media accounts that can be used as promotional media. Through this community service activity, the management of Umbulrejo Tourism Village is expected to maintain the sustainability of tourism in Umbulrejo Village.

Abstract

Purpose: This study investigates how environmental education influences students’ behavior in responding to climate change at State Senior High School 1 Gondang. By examining this relationship, the research seeks to demonstrate the strategic role that integrated environmental education can play in fostering adaptive attitudes and actions among adolescents facing increasingly frequent flooding disasters in Indonesia. Methodology: Employing a quantitative design, the study surveyed 289 students selected via stratified random sampling to ensure representation across grade levels. Data collection combined structured questionnaires—measuring both exposure to environmental education and self‐reported climate‐response behaviors—with school documentation on program implementation. Analyses comprised descriptive statistics to categorize variable levels and a Pearson product–moment correlation test to assess the strength and significance of the relationship between environmental education and climate‐responsive behavior. Results: The descriptive analysis placed the environmental education variable in the moderate category (46%) and the climate‐response behavior variable in the sufficient category (34%). The correlation test yielded a significance value of 0.00 (p < 0.05) and a correlation coefficient of 0.527, reflecting a moderately strong positive relationship. These findings confirm that higher levels of environmental education are associated with more proactive student attitudes toward climate change. Applications/Originality/Value: By providing empirical evidence of the positive impact of environmental education on students’ climate‐ responsive behaviors, this study underscores the importance of curriculum designers and school administrators embedding targeted environmental modules into secondary education. The results offer a practical framework for schools seeking to enhance resilience education and inform policymakers on the value of scaling up environmental programs to mitigate the human and economic costs of climate‐induced disasters.

Abstract

Spatial thinking ability in the 21st century is crucial for students to respond to challenges and global competition. While each student possesses different spatial thinking abilities, these abilities are also vulnerable to decline due to the uncertain global conditions. This study aims to analyze spatial thinking abilities based on students' gender through the Spatial Thinking Ability Test (STAT). The research employs a comparative method with quantitative data analysis using a two-sample t-test. The subjects of this study were male and female students at Muhammadiyah Senior High School 1 Karanganyar. Data collection was carried out using a test. The results showed that the average spatial thinking ability score for male students was 181.45, while female students scored 139.10. The Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000, with a significance value (sig.) < 0.05, indicates that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, while the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected. In conclusion, there is a significant difference in spatial thinking abilities, suggesting that male students at Muhammadiyah Senior High School 1 Karanganyar tend to have higher spatial thinking abilities than female students.

Abstract

Data Korlantas Polri menunjukkan tren kecelakaan yang fluktuatif sejak 2018, dengan peningkatan kasus di beberapa daerah seperti Jalan Karanganyar - Matesih. Tingkat keparahan korban dipengaruhi oleh faktor demografis, termasuk usia, jenis kelamin, penyebab, waktu, jenis hari, dan jenis kendaraan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara faktor-faktor demografis dan jenis kecelakaan terhadap tingkat keparahan korban kecelakaan lalu lintas di Jalan Karanganyar-Matesih. Data kecelakaan lalu lintas yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini mencakup tahun 2021 hingga 2023 yang diperoleh dari lembaga Satuan Lalu Lintas Kepolisian Resor Karanganyar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada tingkat keparahan korban meninggal dunia, terdapat hubungan signifikan antara faktor demografi dan jenis kecelakaan terhadap tingkat kematian. Jenis kelamin memiliki korelasi sedang dengan tingkat kematian (r = 0,023; p < 0,05), sementara jenis kendaraan menunjukkan hubungan yang lebih kuat (r = 0,034; p < 0,05). Selain itu, jenis kecelakaan juga memiliki korelasi signifikan dengan tingkat kematian (r = 0,023; p < 0,05). Pada korban luka ringan, faktor usia menjadi satu-satunya faktor demografi yang berpengaruh dengan korelasi yng signifikan (r = 0,024; p < 0,05) dan jenis kecelakaan juga memiliki korelasi positif (r = 0,008; p < 0,05). Namun, pada tingkat keparahan korban luka berat, tidak ditemukan hubungan signifikan antara faktor demografi maupun jenis kecelakaan. Hasil ini memberikan gambaran tentang pengaruh faktor-faktor tertentu terhadap tingkat keparahan kecelakaan lalu lintas. Selain itu, hasil penelitian ini memberikan data yang dapat dijadikan sebagai acuan dalam merumuskan strategi umtuk mengurangi angka kecelakaan lalu lintas.

Abstract

Disaster is an eternal phenomenon, some can be prevented, and some cannot be avoided, so humans can only try to anticipate so that there will be no loss of property and life. This article aims to determine school students' level of preparedness and knowledge in disaster-prone areas in the Klaten district, specifically at SMP N 1 Kemalang. This research uses a quantitative method with a cross-sectional study model. The population in this study were students of SMPN 1 Kemalang, Klaten Regency, with a sample of 65 students. The data analysis technique used is the descriptive statistical analysis technique. This study found that students' knowledge and preparedness in dealing with the Merapi eruption disaster were fairly good. This study concludes that students' knowledge about disasters relates to disaster preparedness itself.AbstractBencana merupakan fenomena yang abadi, ada yang dapat dicegah, dan ada yang tidak dapat dihindari, sehingga manusia hanya dapat berusaha mengantisipasi agar tidak terjadi kerugian harta benda dan jiwa. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kesiapsiagaan dan pengetahuan siswa sekolah di daerah rawan bencana di kabupaten Klaten, khususnya di SMP N 1 Kemalang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan model studi cross sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMPN 1 Kemalang Kabupaten Klaten dengan jumlah sampel 65 siswa. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis statistik deskriptif. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa pengetahuan dan kesiapsiagaan siswa dalam menghadapi bencana erupsi Merapi sudah cukup baik. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pengetahuan siswa tentang bencana berkaitan dengan kesiapsiagaan bencana itu sendiri.
