Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang Pengembangan buku saku digital berbasis STEM pada materi Perbandingan Siswa/i SMP. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran prosedur pengembangan buku saku digital berbasis STEM pada materi perbandingan serta mengetahui hasil pengembangan buku saku digital berbasis STEM memenuhi kriteria valid. Jenis penelitian ini adalah research and development (R&D). Untuk menghasilkan produk buku saku digital berbasis STEM, peneliti menggunakan model ADDIE dengan singkatan lima tahap pengembangan yaitu: (1) Tahap analisis (analyze), (2) Tahap perencanaan (design), (3) Tahap pengembangan (development), (4) Tahap implementasi (implementation), (5) Tahap evaluasi (evaluation). Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP Negeri 5 Tanjungbalai dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas VII. Untuk mengetahui kelayakan produk, peneliti menyebar angket kepada tiga validator yang terdiri dari Satu dosen matematika Politehnik Tanjungbalai dan satu Dosen Matematika UMSU dan satu guru mata pelajaran matematika di SMP Negeri 5 Tanjungbalai yang dimana inti dari angket validasi tersebut berisi tentang penilaian isi/materi, media dan desain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa buku saku digital berbasis STEM pada materi perbandingan memenuhi kriteria valid untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika, dilihat dari hasil penilaian tiga validator ahli isi/ materi (90%) dengan kategori sangat valid dan ahli media dan design (91%) dengan kategori sangat valid.

Abstract

Penelitian ini fokus meneliti persepsi mahasiswa perguruan tinggi terhadap penggunaan teknologi digital dalam pembelajaran Matematika sangat relevan di era teknologi digital saat ini. Penelitian ini menggunana pendekatan campuran (mixed method) antara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Sebanyak 12 mahasiswa terlibat sebagai responden penelitian. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dengan instrumen kuesioner berbasis closed-ended-questionnaire. Sementara data kualitatif diperoleh dengan instrument open-ended-questionnaire. Hasil penelitian persepsi mahasiswa menunjukkan bahwa: (1) jenis teknologi digital paling sering digunakan adalah smartphone yaitu mencapai 67%, diikuti youtube 25% dan aplikasi lain seperti Cloren dan Mathway sebanyak 8%. (2) Frekuensi penggunaan teknologi digital didominasi oleh jawaban sering 67% dan kadang-kadang 33%. (3) Sebanyak 91,9% responden memberikan jawaban ‘ya’ atau positif terkait 10 pertanyaan perihal penggunaan teknologi digital dalam belajar Matematika. Dalam data kuesioner terbuka, responden mengungkap pentingnya teknologi digital teirntegrasi dalam pembelajaran, perlunya pendampingan dan pelatihan menggunakan aplikasi teknologi digital serta kendala jaringan dan spesifikasi hp yang masih rendah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model problem solving terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa kelas VIII SMPIT Miftahul Jannah. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen dengan desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah one group pretest-posttest control design. Sample penelitian adalah 20 siswa sebagai kelas yang diterapkan model pembelajaran problem solving. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah instrumen tes diberikan setelah proses pembelajaran yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa. Hasil data dianalisis dengan uji normalitas dan homogenitas kemudian dilakukan teknik analisis data uji-t dan n-gain dengan SPSS 22 for windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 yang artinya pembelajaran model problem solving berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa.

Abstract

Kemampuan siswa untuk menganalisis, menalar, serta merumuskan, memecahkan, dan menginterpretasikan masalah matematika dalam berbagai bentuk dan konteks merupakan inti keterampilan matematika. didalam  mengajarkan matematika di Sekolah Menengah Pertama hal yang tidak mudah, bahkan rintangannya sangat banyak sekali dan kendala yang dialami oleh para pendidik. terkhusus pembelajaran yang dapat mendukung keterampilan numerasi, dan memiliki manfaat secara kontekstual dalam memecahkan masalah didalam kehidupan. untuk mengevaluasi dampak dari model pembelajaran berbasis masalah akan kecakapan matematika dan numerik siswa kelas VII di SMP Muhammadiyah 51 Sidikalang merupakan tujuan dari penelitian ini. Penelitian ini memakai metode eksperimen semu serta metode survei kuantitatif dan desain pre-test dan post-test group. dengan mengikutsertakan statistik deskriptif dan statistik analisis inferensial merupakan bagian dari analisis dalam penelitian ini. analisis data awal memakai statistik deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa sebelum diterapkannya model pembelajaran berbasis masalah di SMP Swasta Muhammadiyah 51 Sidikalang, kinerja siswa dalam kategori rendah sebesar 24% dan kategori sedang atau tercapai sebesar 76%. Namun, setelah penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah, terjadi peningkatan signifikan dalam kinerja siswa. Proporsi siswa dalam kategori sedang meningkat sebesar 20%, sementara proporsi siswa dalam kategori tinggi meningkat sebesar 80%. hasil dari analisis statistik inferensial menggunakan paired sample T-test terlihat kalau nilai signifikansi lebih besar dari 0,05. Hal ini mengindikasikan jika penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah berdampak positif terhadap kemampuan matematika dan numerik siswa setelah dilakukan pengujian statistik. Dengan demikian, dapat ditarik kesimpulkan kalau pengaruh model pembelajaran berbasis masalah di SMP Swasta Muhammadiyah 51 Sidikalang Kelas VII memiliki dampak yang positif terhadap keterampilan matematika dan numerik siswa.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi pengaruh model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) dan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan self-efficacy siswa. Penelitian dilakukan pada tahun ajaran 2023/2024 di kelas X SMK Kesehatan Galang Insan Mandiri materi SPLTV dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 52 siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen semu dengan desain pretest-posttest control group desain. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas, dimana satu kelas menggunakan model pembelajaran PBL dan Kelas yang lainnya menggunakan model pembelajran CTL. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan skala self-efficacy. Analisis statistik deskriptif dan inferensial dengan uji ANOVA dua arah. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kedua model pembelajaran memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap terhadap peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan self-efficacy siswa. Namun, terdapat perbedaan yang signifkan dalam tingkat peningkatan antara kedua model pembelajaran tersebut. Implikasi penelitian ini adalah pentingnya memperhatikan pemilihan model pembelajaran yang tepat dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan self-efficacy siswa di sekolah

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on students' mathematical problem solving abilities in the Comparison material for class VII Private Junior High School PAB 1 Klumpang in the 2020/2021 academic year. The instrument used in this research is a mathematical problem solving ability test in the form of a description, with the material being taught is a comparison. The subjects in this study were seventh grade students of PAB 1 Klumpang Private Junior High School, while the sample in this study consisted of two classes. One class is the experimental class and the other is the control class. The sample in the experimental class amounted to 30 people, and the sample in the control class also amounted to 30 people. From the data analysis using simple regression test, the average test of mathematical problem solving ability in the experimental class before and after learning was 73.33 and 83.83. While the average control class math problem solving ability test before and after learning was 74.17 and 75.5. Hypothesis testing in this study used the r-test, which was conducted to determine the level of students' mathematical problem solving abilities before and after being taught using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model. If > then it can be concluded that there is an effect of Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on students' mathematical problem solving abilities. After the calculation, the score on the mathematical problem solving ability of experimental class students is 0.722 while the value is 0.361, so it can be seen that > . Thus, it can be concluded that there is an effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on students' mathematical problem solving abilities in the Comparison material for class VII Private Junior High School PAB 1 Klumpang in the 2020/2021 academic year.

Abstract

The traditional otok-otok game as a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) based project can be used for mathematics learning. Research like this has never been done. The aim of this research is to describe students' collaborative skills through the Ethno-STEAM Project learning approach. The research subjects were 32 students with a pre-experimental research type with a one-shot case study design. Data regarding students' collaborative skills was obtained from student self-report questionnaires and data was strengthened through collaborative activity observation sheet forms. Data analysis uses descriptive statistics in the form of total scores and average percentages for each aspect or subdomain. The application of Ethno-STEAM Project learning in the context of otok-otok games produced results, namely that students' collaborative skills were in the high category 56%, in the medium category 31%, and in the low category 13%. Aspects of collaborative skills in the high category include motivation, contribution, problem-solving, time management, group dynamics, and interaction with group members. Aspects that need further development are in the categories of work quality, group support, readiness, roles, and reflection. The application of the Ethno-STEAM approach to the otok-otok game project in mathematics learning can be an alternative for developing students' collaborative skills

Abstract

One aspect that plays an important role in life is education, especially in learning mathematics, where students first avoid it and think that mathematics is difficult, so this makes students' interest in learning decrease. The aim of this research is to find out the influence of giving rewards and punishment on students' interest in learning in mathematics subjects. The research method used in this research uses a quantitative approach with the instrument used, namely SPSS 25 for Windows, while the data collection technique uses a questionnaire and data analysis uses the classic assumption test. The research results show that 1) Rewards and punishments simultaneously influence students' interest in learning by 92 percent; 2) Compensation influences interest rates significantly, as shown by the sign value of 0.003 being less than 0.05; and 3) Compensation significantly influences students' interest in learning, as shown by the mark value of 0.002 which is less than 0.05. The punishment variable is the most influential in terms of its significance value. It can be concluded that the rewards and punishments given by teachers or educators to students influence their interest in learning mathematics subjects.

Abstract

Project-based learning is one of the 21st-century methods that can increase the students' ability to have useful competence in their knowledge, especially in learning mathematic. Hence, the teachers' perception of the implementation of PBL is essential to know. The purpose of this study was to determine student perceptions about the application of project-based learning models. This research is a survey research with a quantitative descriptive approach. The samples used in this study amounted to 63 students of the sixth semester in the Department of Mathematical Education, Muhammadiyah University North Sumatra. The data collection technique used a questionnaire. The data analysis technique consists of quantitative analysis techniques with a statistical approach. The results of this study indicate that: (1) the students' perceptions of the interaction aspects of students and teachers are in the very good category with a mean score of 85.32%. (2) Students' perceptions of motivation / increasing student interest in learning are in the very high category, with an average score of 85.53%. (3) Students' perceptions on the competency aspect of understanding subject matter are in the very good category with an average score of 85.48%. (4) Students' perceptions of the competency aspects of critical, effective, and efficient thinking are in the category of strongly agree with a mean score of 82.62%. (5) Students' perceptions of good time management competence are in the good category with an average score of 79.10%. (6) Students' perceptions of good student learning outcomes are in the very good category, with a mean score of 82.67%. (7) Students' perceptions of the learning model's conformity aspect with subject characteristics are in the very high category with a mean score of 84.05%.

Abstract

This research aims to improve the learning outcomes of class 1 students at SD Negeri 060912 Medan by implementing the Problem Based Learning learning model with puzzle media. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which is carried out in 2 cycles. Before entering cycle I, students are given a pre-cycle test first to determine the students' abilities. After carrying out the pre-cycle test, learning activities enter cycle I stage then proceed to cycle II stage. The subjects of this research were 1st grade students at SD Negeri 060912 Medan, totaling 21 students. The results of this research show that the learning outcomes of students using the Problem Based Learning model using puzzle media showed an increase in the learning outcomes of students who achieved completeness by 57.1%, then in cycle II students who achieved completeness also experienced an increase of 90.5%. From these results it can be concluded that from cycle I to cycle II there was an increase in completion by 33.4%. This shows that the application of the Problem Based Learning learning model using puzzle media can greatly improve students' results.
