Abstract

Project-based learning is one of the 21st-century methods that can increase the students' ability to have useful competence in their knowledge, especially in learning mathematic. Hence, the teachers' perception of the implementation of PBL is essential to know. The purpose of this study was to determine student perceptions about the application of project-based learning models. This research is a survey research with a quantitative descriptive approach. The samples used in this study amounted to 63 students of the sixth semester in the Department of Mathematical Education, Muhammadiyah University North Sumatra. The data collection technique used a questionnaire. The data analysis technique consists of quantitative analysis techniques with a statistical approach. The results of this study indicate that: (1) the students' perceptions of the interaction aspects of students and teachers are in the very good category with a mean score of 85.32%. (2) Students' perceptions of motivation / increasing student interest in learning are in the very high category, with an average score of 85.53%. (3) Students' perceptions on the competency aspect of understanding subject matter are in the very good category with an average score of 85.48%. (4) Students' perceptions of the competency aspects of critical, effective, and efficient thinking are in the category of strongly agree with a mean score of 82.62%. (5) Students' perceptions of good time management competence are in the good category with an average score of 79.10%. (6) Students' perceptions of good student learning outcomes are in the very good category, with a mean score of 82.67%. (7) Students' perceptions of the learning model's conformity aspect with subject characteristics are in the very high category with a mean score of 84.05%.

Abstract

This research aims to improve the learning outcomes of class 1 students at SD Negeri 060912 Medan by implementing the Problem Based Learning learning model with puzzle media. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which is carried out in 2 cycles. Before entering cycle I, students are given a pre-cycle test first to determine the students' abilities. After carrying out the pre-cycle test, learning activities enter cycle I stage then proceed to cycle II stage. The subjects of this research were 1st grade students at SD Negeri 060912 Medan, totaling 21 students. The results of this research show that the learning outcomes of students using the Problem Based Learning model using puzzle media showed an increase in the learning outcomes of students who achieved completeness by 57.1%, then in cycle II students who achieved completeness also experienced an increase of 90.5%. From these results it can be concluded that from cycle I to cycle II there was an increase in completion by 33.4%. This shows that the application of the Problem Based Learning learning model using puzzle media can greatly improve students' results.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to reveal; (1) the significant influence of PBL and CTL models assisted by interactive media on students' mathematical reasoning abilities, (2) the interaction between KAM and the application of learning models on students' mathematical reasoning abilities, (3) the significant influence of the application of PBL and CTL models assisted by interactive media on self-efficacy students, (4) knowing the interaction between students' initial mathematics abilities and learning models on students' self-efficacy. Quasi experiment is applied, especially counter balanced design with instruments: (1) test of students' initial mathematical abilities, (2) test of students' mathematical reasoning abilities, (3) self-efficacy questionnaire. Infrential data uses covariance analysis (ANCOVA). The research results showed that: (1) The two experimental classes taught using the PBL (Problem Based Learning) model and the CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) model assisted by interactive media had a significant influence on students' mathematical reasoning abilities. (2) There is an interaction between initial mathematics abilities (KAM) and the learning model used on students' mathematical reasoning abilities. (3) The two experimental classes taught using the PBL (Problem Based Learning) model and the CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) model assisted by interactive media have a significant influence on student self-efficacy. (4) There is an interaction between initial mathematics abilities (KAM) and the learning model used on student self-efficacy.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to know the effectiveness of guided discovery learning model on students' cognitive abilities. The method used is a quasi-experimental study by adapting a Posttest-Only-Control Group design. Regarding the population, the researcher assigned class VIII of SMP PAB 2 Helvetia Medan, class VIII-1 and class VIII-2 research subjects as experimental and control classes, respectively, each class consisted of 30 students taken using a non-random technique. A test instrument in the form of a posttest consisting of 10 questions was used during data collection. The results showed that the average value of student learning outcomes that were treated in the form of guided exploratory learning models compared to the control class that used conventional learning models had a better value. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the guided exploration method affects the student's learning outcomes in geometry teaching materials

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the difference in the mathematics learning outcomes of class VIII MTs Al-Washliyah Tanjung Mulia in the 2017/2018 school year on the tangent line to a circle. This research is a quasi-experimental type with a two group posttest only design. The research sample involved 26 students of class VIII-A who were given treatment with the TTW learning model, then 24 students of class VIII-B were given treatment with the MMP learning model. The sampling technique used is nonrandom. Research data were collected with several instruments, including interviews, questionnaires, and tests. The test instrument has gone through the validation stage by three validators, namely one mathematics teacher and two mathematics lecturers. The results of the final data test with t-test obtained tcount > ttable (846 > 1679). Based on these facts, it can be concluded that student learning outcomes using the MMP and TTW models at MTs Al-Wasliyah Tanjung Mulia in class VIII have significant differences.

Abstract

Law No. 20 of 2003 on the National Education System mandates inclusive education for children with special needs (ABK) in order to optimize their potential. However, the learning process for kids with mental retardation is hampered by the lack of new learning resources. Thus, a solution is provided by the MathAlfa program with Integrated Video Augmented Reality (AR). In addition to promoting the use of technology in inclusive education, MathAlfa is intended to improve the learning achievement, comprehension, and engagement of children with mental retardation. It is anticipated that features like materials, AR films, and quizzes that rely on visual recognition and direct interaction will be able to give students with mental retardation a more engaging, inclusive, and adaptive learning environment. One technology that has great potential in supporting learning for students with intellectual disabilities is Augmented Reality (AR). AR is a technology that combines virtual objects with real environments in real-time, providing a more immersive interactive experience. By using AR, students can interact directly with learning materials that are visualized in the form of 3D objects, videos, or animations, which can help them understand abstract concepts more concretely and visually.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran berbasis proyek dan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD terhadap kemampuan penalaran dan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa di kelas VII MTsS. Nurul Amaliyah Tanjung Morawa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif, dengan jenis penelitian quasi eksperimen. Populasinya adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII MTsS. Nurul Amaliyah Tanjung Morawa yang berjumlah 60 siswa. Analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis varians (ANAVA). Hasil temuan ini menunjukkan: 1) Model pembelajaran berbasis proyek terhadap kemampuan penalaran dan kemampuan komunikasi lebih baik daripada model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD pada materi segi empat; 2) Tidak terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran terhadap kemampuan penalaran dan kemampuan komunikasi matematika siswa. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa model pembelajaran berbasis proyek (PjBL) lebih berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan penalaran dan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa daripada model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD.

Abstract

Education in Indonesia faces significant challenges in aligning with global advancements, particularly in enhancing students' problem-solving skills and fostering a sense of responsibility. This study aims to investigate the impact of Cooperative Learning and Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) models on improving these two critical aspects of high school mathematics education. Using a quasi-experimental design, the study involved two classes at SMA Negeri 1 Rantau Utara, Labuhanbatu Regency, Indonesia. Class X-D was assigned as the experimental group, implementing Cooperative Learning, while Class X-E served as the control group, utilizing the CTL model. Data were collected through pre-tests and post-tests to measure problem-solving skills and questionnaires to assess student responsibility. The data were analyzed using ANOVA with SPSS 27 for Windows. The results revealed that both learning models significantly improved students' problem-solving skills and responsibility. However, the Cooperative Learning group demonstrated a higher level of improvement compared to the CTL group, suggesting that collaborative learning enhances mathematical understanding and responsibility more effectively. This study underscores the importance of transitioning from conventional teaching methods to innovative, student-centered approaches. The findings imply that optimizing the application of Cooperative Learning and CTL can significantly contribute to improving the quality of education in Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk Mengetahui Hasil Penerapan Model Problem Based Learning Berbantuan Media Interaktif Pada Materi Pengukuran Berat Benda Di Sdn 060912 Medan Denai Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa KELAS I-A . Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan yang telah diuraikan pada bab-bab sebelumnya, dapat ditarik beberapa kesimpulan yakni sebagai berikut:Pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan model problem based learning berbantuan media interaktif dapat melatih siswa untuk saling bekerja sama dan berbagi informasi antar siswa sehingga lebih meningkatkan pemahaman mereka terhadap materi pengukuran berat benda.Pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model problem based learning berbantuan media interaktif dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran matematika. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari data hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan oleh peneliti. Dimana pada saat pretes ketuntasan belajar siswa secara klasikal hanya sebanyak 6 orang siswa (28,57%), namun setelah dilaksanakannya siklus I dengan menggunakan model problem based learning berbantuan media interaktif ketuntasan belajar siswa secara klasikal mengalami peningkatan sebesar (57,14%) atau sebanyak 12 siswa. Pada siklus II juga terjadi peningkatan ketuntasan belajar siswa secara klasikal sebesar (80,95%) atau sebanyak 17 siswa karena guru telah melakukan tindakan siklus I dan siklus II sehingga siswa sudah dapat menyelesaikan soal-soal dari posttes yang telah diberikan pada siklus I dan siklus II. Media Interaktif berupa Powerpoint interaktif dan media konkret berupa timbangan sederhana sebagai media pendukung pembelajaran memberikan kontribusi besar dalam meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dalam proses belajar, terutama dalam aspek psikomotor dan afektif. Kuis yang terdapat dalam media tersebut dan praktik langsung dalam kegiatan menimbang menggunakan timbangan sederhana memberikan penguatan terhadap konsep pengukuran berat benda yang dipelajari dan membuat pembelajaran menjadi menyenangkan serta bermakna.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk Mengetahui Penerapan Model Problem Based Learning Berbantuan Web Google Site Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa Kelas I Pada Materi Aku Dan Keluargaku Di Sdn 060912 Medan. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah Penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilakukan di SDN 060912 Medan. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2024/2025 terhitung mulai Maret sampai dengan April. Subjek Penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas I SDN 060912 Medan pada semester genap Tahun Ajaran 2024/2025. Peserta didik yang berjumlah 21 siswa. Setiap siklus pada penelitian tindakan terdiri dari empat tahap, yaitu (1) Perencanaan (Planning), (2) Pelaksanaan (Action), (3) Observasi atau pengamatan (Observation), (4) Refleksi (Reflection). Dari hasil pembelajaran yang telah dilaksanakan berjalan dengan baik, baik dari aktivitas siswa dan hasil belajar yang diperoleh siswa telah mengalami peningkatan. Pada siklus I meningkat sedikit dengan nilai rata-rata yaitu 68,33 dan persentase skor yang dicapai yaitu 39,28% serta ketuntasan belajar siswa sebesar 66,67% dengan tingkat keberhasilan yang artinya cukup. Pada siklus II meningkat dengan nilai rata-rata persentase skor yang dicapai yaitu 85,71% dan ketuntasan belajar siswa sebesar 85,71% dengan tingkat keberhasilan yang artinya baik. Dari hasil yang telah diperoleh tersebut dapat dikatakan bahwa pembelajaran IPAS dengan menerapkan Model Problem Based Learning (PBL) Berbantuan Media Laman Google site dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas I SDN 060912 Medan
