Abstract

This research aims to assess the rate of agricultural land conversion, analyze factors affectagricultural land conversion, and analyze the impact of land conversion on rice production in Sigi District. Data analysis used is analysis of conversion rate, logistic regression analysis, and analysis of impact production. Result obtained Conversion of paddy field that happened in Sigi District from year 2009 until year 2016 which is about 20,75% or 4,499 Ha. with average value of depreciation every year equal to 2,96% or equal to 645,57 Ha.Based on the results of logistic regression analysis obtained from 7 independent variables, only 3 variables that significantly affect the land conversion that occurred. The influential variables are land area, land selling price, and number of family dependents with Prob value. <α (10%). Variables that have no effect on land conversion are length of stay, duration of farming, yield, and selling price of paddy. Based on the results of production impact analysis, obtained the lost production capacity of 39,719.81 tons of dry milled grain or about 4,467.97 tons of dry milled grain per year.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan strategi pengembangan usahatani nilam di Kecamatan Batudaka. Tempat penelitian ditentukan secara sengaja (purposive) dengan pertimbangan bahwa Kecamatan Batudaka merupakan salah satu kecamatan di kepulauan yang mengembangkan nilam di Kabupaten Tojo Una-una. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode sampel acak sederhana (simple randon sampling methode) masing-masing 15% dari populasi petani nilam di tiga desa. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 28 responden. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis SWOT. Hasil Analisis SWOT menunjukkan bahwa usahatani nilam berada pada posisi kuadran I (mendukung strategi Agresif) dengan strategi SO (Strenghts-Opportunities). Program atau aktivitas yang diusulkan untuk dilaksanakan, meliputi: (1). Mengoptimalkan sumber daya lahan dalam upaya peningkatan produksi, (2). Memanfaatkan peran Kelompok Tani dalam upaya pengembangan strategi pemasaran, (3). Menggerakkan petani untuk berfikir dan bertindak dalam melaksanakan sesuatu yang lebih baik dan menguntungkan dalam upaya peningkatan produktifitas Usahatani Nilam  dalam menjamin kontinuitas produksi, (4). Mengembangkan bibit Lokal yang unggul Melalui dukungan Pemerintah Kata Kunci : Nilam, Pengembangan Strategi, dan SWOT.

Abstract

Shallot classified by a commercial commodity because most its yield production to fulfill market demand. Though itsconsumption in domestic not in gross as does rice, but in required big enough aggregate of society. Don’t make available or less isavailable of shallot commodity, and also its fluctuation can generate the disquiet in society. But that way farm shallot not yet fullcan be told to succeed, because of in its effort require the big expense, goodness fulfill the use of medium expense produce that isseed, manure, wide land and also labor cost requirement. This Input use will determine the level of production and level ofreleased expense. The objective of this research to know break even point farm shallot so that farmer in its interposing canestimate the of use of factor cost of production to use to obtain get the beneficial profit. Research executed in Countryside ofLabuan Toposo determined in intends the (purposive). Research responder specified by as much 28 KK from population as much56 KK or 50% by using random sample method modestly. Data collecting used by technique of questioner and investigation book.Model the analysis break even point to see the relation of between expense, acceptance and profit. The results showed theresponder of farm shallot experience break even point at production 72.40kg per season plant or equal to Rp506.800 at the time ofTR=TC. Where mean of sale acceptance (TR) of equal to Rp8.056.500 with the mean storey level produce equal to 1.150kgresiding in for total cost mean (TC) of equal to Rp2.571.235. Is thereby obtained by value R/C (Revenue Cost Ratio) equal to 3.08which its meaning each every expense use of equal to Rp100 will obtain get the acceptance of equal to 3.08. Abstract

ABSTRACTThe aim of the research was to determine the technical, allocative and economical efficiencies of Lembah Palu shallot farming systems and factors affecting their technical efficiency.  It was conducted in Sigi Biromaru sub district where Bulupountu Jaya, Soulowe, and Oloboju villages located.  Forty farmers were selected using a random sampling technique.  Data collected was analyzed using the production function of stochastic frontier Cobb-Douglas, and input approaches.  The results showed that land size area, seeds, fertilizer and labors significantly affected the production of Lembah Palu shallot at 95% confident level.  The shallot farming systems in Palu were technically efficient but allocatively and economically not yet efficient with the values of 0.98, 0.66 and 0.65, respectively.  Such factors as non-formal and formal education, farming experiences, and family dependents were not significantly affected the technical efficiency. Keywords: Efficiency, production factors, and stochastic frontier.

Abstract

This research aims (1) to analysis factors affecting the level of food tenacity both directly and indirectly, (2) to analysis thecorrelation and the influence between availability, food access and livelihood, nutrition and health, and food susceptibility, and (3) toanalysis the effect of availability, food access and livelihood, nutrition and health, and food susceptibility on the level of food tenacityeither partial or combination. This research conducted in 3 sub-district at Malang District: (1) Kepanjen, (2) Pakisaji, and (3) SumberPucung with 30 villages. The research carried out using Path analysis with indicators: (1) Availability, (2) Food access andLivelihood, (3) Nutrition and Health, and (4) Food susceptibility. The results of analysis show that only 3 factors significantly affectthe level of food tenacity such as food access and livelihood, nutrition and health, and food susceptibility. However, indicator ofavailability shown no significant. The Successful of food security can be achieved if food could reach to household level.Keywords: Agriculture, food in security and modeling

Abstract

The objectives of the research was to analyze the influence of price, taste, color, texture and size of imported apple fruit on consumers’ preferences and on the purchase of the fruit, and to analyze the influence of attributes to the purchase of the fruit in Hypermart Palu Grand Mall.  The research location was purposively determined in Hypermart considering that itis the largest site where imported fruit are sold in Palu city.  Samples of 50 people were selected using an Accidental Sampling method based on spontaneity factor.  The results of analysis showed that the coefficient of attribute lines of price, taste, color, texture, and size statistically affected the volume of the imported apple sold in the Mall.  The variables (Xi) of price, taste, color, texture and size simultaneously affected the purchase variable (Y) significantly at 87.7% or R2 = 0.877 whereas the effect of other factors not included in this research was 0.123 or 12.3%.  The proportional effects on the fruit purchase for the taste variable was 0.799 or 79.9, the size was 0.023 or 2.3%, the color was 0.021 or 2.1%, the texture 0.016 or 1.6% and the price was 0.019 or 1.9%.Keywords : Consumer Preferences,  and Imported Apple Fruits.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui faktor-faktor internal (kekuatan dan kelemahan), faktor-faktor eksternal (peluang dan ancaman) dan mengetahui formulasi strategi dalam pengembangan usahatani kopi. Penentuan daerah penelitian  dilakukan secara sengaja (purposive) menggunakan metode slovin dengan jumlah sampel 28 orang. Data dianalisis menggunakan metode  deskriptif dan formulasi strategi dengan menggunakan analisis SWOT.Hasil penelitian dari data analisis Internal Strategic Faktor Analysis Summary (IFAS) faktor kekuatan (strengths) mempunyai nilai sebesar 2,08 dan kelemahan (weaknesses) mempunyai nilai sebesar 1,24.  Nilai ini dapat diartikan bahwa usaha pengembangan usahatani kopi di lokasi penelitian memiliki kekuatan yang lebih besar, yaitu sekitar 62,73%  dibandingkan dengan kelemahannya sebesar 37,27%. Sedangkan berdasarkan hasil analisis Eksternal Strategic Faktor Analysis Summary (EFAS), bahwa faktor peluang (opportunities) mempunyai nilai sebesar 1,63 dan ancaman (threats) mempunyai nilai sebesar 0,88. Nilai ini dapat diartikan bahwa peluang yang dimiliki masih lebih besar dibandingkan dengan ancaman yang ada, yaitu 64,81% peluang dibandingkan dengan 35,19% ancaman. Sehingga formulasi strategi inti (Core Strategy) yang dijadikan strategi pengembangan usahatani kopi yang terdiri dari 3 program yaitu :1)    Mengoptimalkan lahan usahatani melalui bibit berkualitas untuk mengimbangi permintaan kopi yang tinggi;2)    Penyediaan suplai produksi kopi mengembangkan sumberdaya lokal, yang dilakukan melalui pengembangan lahan usaha tani akibat tingginya harga kopi;3)    Meningkatkan produksi kopi melalui perkembangan teknologi, sehingga dapat meningkatkan pendapatan petani. Kata kunci : Usahatani Kopi, Analisis SWOT, Strategi Pengembangan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that affect farmers' choice to switch the cocoa farming to palm farming in the district of Rio Pakava Donggala Regncy. The study was conducted in the District of Rio Pakava Donggala Regency in November 2014 to January 2015. The study used quantitative and qualitative approach with a sample size of 50 respondents, comprised of 25 cocoa farmers and 25 oil palm farmers who switch cocoa farming into farming oil palm. The study, carried out using non-probability sampling method is caused by the amount of each population to be studied is not known exactly, using purposive sampling, the expected criteria for samples obtained completely according to the research conducted, to obtain a representative sample, making the subject of each region is determined by or in proportion to the number of subjects each region.  Based on the analysis using logit models indicate that the variable cost of production of cocoa and income influence the decision of farmers switch of cocoa farming to oil palm farming, while the variable land and labor flow has no effect on the decision of farmers to switch cocoa farming into palm oil farming Key words : Option farmer, switch cocoa farming to palm oil farming.

Abstract

Corn (Zea Mays) is one of the most important cultivated plants in our civilization. Although it mainly refers to the type of crop, corn is also used to refer to some kinds of the same Zeaclan commonly called grasses. This study aimed to determine the amount of income and the feasibility of cor farming located in Oloboju village of  Sigi Biromaru sub district of Sigi District from March to June 2016. Determination of samples was done usingasimple random sampling method.  The samples used in the study were 30 respondents selected from a population of 75 corn growers. The results of the analysis showed that the average production of cornwas 4,666 kg with the average revenue of IDR 12,740,002, while the average of total cost spent by onerespondent farmer was IDR 3,070,341 with an income of IDR 9,669,660.  The value of R/C was4.14 (>1) indicating that the corn farming is feasible to be developed.

Abstract

UKM Kripik Asbal merupakan salah satu UKM yang mengolah buah pisang tanduk menjadi beberapa jenis kripik dengan berbagai varians rasa. Permasalahan yang dihadapi saat ini adalah lokasi yang tidak memadai untuk produksi maupun pemasaran, mitra bahan baku yang terbatas, dan strategi pemasaran yang kurang tepat di masa pandemi covid, sehingga pendapatan menurun. Tujuan program pengabdian ini adalah untuk pengembangan teknologi produksi guna menghasilkan varian produk kripik pisang tanduk yang berkualitas, dan strategi pengembangan jaringan pemasaran produk di UKM Kripik Asbal. Hasil akhir dari program ini adalah UKM Kripik Asbal menjadi salah satu UKM yang tahan terhadap krisis, memiliki sumberdaya manusia yang terlatih (inovatif), dan mandiri secara finansial. Hasil yang telah dicapai dalam pengabdian ini adalah dengan perbaikan kualitas hasil produksi olahan kripik pisang tanduk yang dipasarkan, melalui perubahan kemasan yang lebih baik, sekaligus strategi promosi melalui kemasan dan media online serta menambah varian rasa baru yaitu pedas manis. Beberapa tahapan pengabdian yang telah dilakukan, seperti penyuluhan atau transfer ilmu pengetahuan seperti pengetahuan terkait promosi, kemasan, dan variasi rasa produk, pelatihan pembuatan desain kemasan dan pembuatan variasi rasa baru pada kripik pisang yaitu rasa pedas manis.
