This study discusses the effectiveness of using Kahoot on Hiragana mastery for high school students. The purpose of this study was to describe the effectiveness of using Kahoot on the mastery of hiragana for high school students. The type of research used is quantitative with quasi-experimental research methods and posttest only control group design research. The population of this research is class XI SMAN 12 Padang who learn Japanese as many as 226 people. As for the sampling, the researchers used class XI IPS 3 and XI IPS 5 at SMAN 12 Padang as many as 78 people. The test instrument is a multiple choice test. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that the mastery of Hiragana in class XI SMAN 12 Padang using Kahoot media was in very good qualification with an average value of 87.62. While the class without using Kahoot is in good qualification with an average value of 78.22. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, it is concluded that Kahoot is effective because the value of tcount > ttable (2.96 > 1.69).

Gairaigo is a type of Japanese vocabulary that comes from a foreign language and then adapted to the Japanese linguistic rules. Along with its development, many gairaigo underwent language changes of meaning compared to its original meaning. This will make Japanese language learners confused because it can lead them to different perception and will result in misinterpretation about the gairaigo meaning. This study aims to describe the semantic change of gairaigo which derived from English on the Marisol website. The type of research is a qualitative research with descriptive method. The data collection technique used in this research is to use watch method and note-taking technique. The data analysis techniques used in this study are match method and determining element sorting technique. The data used in this study is gairaigo which has changed the meaning contained in the Marisol website. The data source is the Marisol website. The result of this study showed that there were 39 data that have semantic change (underwent changes of meaning), there are 14 data whose meanings change broadly, 24 data meanings change to narrow and 1 data have total change in meaning.

This study aims to describe the variations and principles of politeness in the use of kanyuu hyougen in the anime kaguya-sama wa kokurasetai: tensai-tachi no renai zunousen. This type of research is a qualitative research with descriptive method. The data of this study is a dialogue containing kanyuu hyougen and the data source used is the anime kaguya-sama wa kokurasetai: tensai-tachi no renai zunousen episodes 1 to 10. Tthe results of this study showed that there were 35 data of kanyuu hyogen which were classified into 3 forms; 1) ishi no hyougen in the form of invites 27 data; 2) ishi no hyougen in the form of question 5 data; 3) hitei gimon no katachi 3 data. Then based on principle of politeness, there were 22 data which were accordance with the principles of politeness and 13 data which were contrary to the principles of politeness.

In the Japanese language education listening skill know as choukai. but For students of the Japanese Language Education Study Program at Padang State University, there must be difficulties affecting students in terms of internal and external factors. Based on the preliminary study conducted by the researcher, it was found that there were some difficulties in learning choukai, therefore the authors decided to research and search more fully the factors that cause choukai learning difficulties.This study aims to describe the factors that cause difficulties in learning choukai at 2019 academic year students of Japanese Language Education Study Program, the type of research is descriptive quantitative. The populations of this study was amounted to 59 students. The sample of the study was the entire population using a total sampling technique, namely all students in the 2019 Japanese Language Education Study Program, Universitas Negeri Padang. The data collection technique used is a questionnaire with a likert scale. The data analysis technique used is descriptive with percentage. The result of this study were obtained factors that cause difficulties to learn listening students are, internal factors 1) the students physical condition on decline or sick, 2) students experience not used to communicating with native speakers. Exsternal factors 1) the speaking style factor, the speaker which is too fast, 2) the speaker factor that uses the hatsuon is very fast cause students have difficulty getting informasion.

Berbicara dalam bahasa Jepang merupakan salah satu hal yang umumnya dianggap sulit bagi pemelajar bahasa Jepang. Ketidakpercayaan diri, kecemasan, kurangnya latihan, maupun proses pembelajaran yang kurang menekankan pada kemampuan berbicara dapat menjadi faktor penyebab kesulitan-kesulitan tersebut. Banyak strategi, tmetode, teknik maupun media yang dapat diimplementasikan untuk melatih kemampuan berbicara bahasa Jepang, salah satunya adalah dengan bercerita. Di Jepang terdapat salah satu teknik bercerita yang menarik dan interaktif, yaitu kamishibai. Kamishibai merupakan bentuk bercerita visual partisipatori yang menggabungkan gambar dengan narasi yang menarik dari pencerita. Menurut kajian dari Segu (2016) Kamishibai dinyatakan efektif meningkatkan kemampuan bercerita siswa. Oleh sebab itu tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahu persepsi siswa terhadap implementasi kamishibai sebagai media latihan berbicara bahasa Jepang. Data pada penelitian ini adalah hasil angket persepsi siswa, teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan angket 4 skala Likert. Responden pada penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA Pembangunan Laboratorium Universitas Negeri Padang yang berjumlah 18 orang. Hasil dari penelitian diketahui bahwa lebih dari 88% responden memberikan persepsi yang positif terhadap penerapan kamishibai sebagai media latihan berbicara bahasa Jepang. Hampir seluruh siswa berpandangan bahwa dengan kamishibai dapat meningkatkan ketertarikan, antusiasme, kepercayaan diri, minat dan motivasi siswa dalam berbicara bahasa Jepang.

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya kesulitan siswa dalam mempelajari hiragana, kurangnya minat siswa dalam mempelajari hiragana, dan keterbatasan variasi media dalam mempelajari hiragana. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah media karuta efektif dalam penguasaan hiragana siswa kelas XII IPA 1 SMA Negeri 2 Sungai Limau. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan jenis eksperimen semu, desain penelitian yaitu one group pretest posttest desain. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas XII SMA Negeri 2 Sungai Limau yang belajar bahasa Jepang dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 215 orang. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini siswa kelas XII IPA 1 sebanyak 30 orang. Data dalam penelitian ini yaitu hasil pretest dan posttest kelas XII IPA 1. Instrument yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data berupa tes objektif pilihan ganda sebanyak 40 soal. Hasil penelitian yaitu hipotesis H0 ditolak, hal itu dapat dilihat dari hasil uji wilcoxon signed ranks test diketahui probabilitas (Asymp.Sig) adalah 0,001

Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan tentang memaknai atau menginterpretasikan jenis majas metonimia yang terdapat pada lirik lagu Back Number dalam album Chandelier karya Iyori Shimizu. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa kalimat yang mengandung majas metonimia dalam lirik lagu yang terdapat pada album Chandelier karya Iyori Shimizu. Sumber data utama dari penelitian ini adalah album Chandelier karya Iyori Shimizu. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah peneliti sendiri. Pada penelitian ini ditemukan 30 data majas metonimia, yaitu: Tempat Sesuatu dan Isinya (Youki Nakami) sebanyak 2 data, Bagian dan Keseluruhan (Zentai Bubun) sebanyak 15 data, Sebab Akibat (Gen’in Kekka) sebanyak 7 data, dan Bentuk lainnya sebanyak 6 data. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah lagu yang dinyanyikan oleh iyori shimizu mengekspresikan maksud dan tujuannya lebih cenderung menggunakan metonimia bagian dan keseluruhan (Zentai Bubun), dengan mengibaratkan sebagian dari tubuh atau sesuatu hal dengan maksud sebenarnya, karena jika diungkapkan dengan makna dasar akan mengurangi cakupan makna dan tidak menimbulkan efek yang indah dalam sebuah lagu.

Omoiyari hyougen is an expression of caution in speaking and paying attention to the interlocutor. However, there are still many people, especially Japanese language learners in Indonesia who do not really understand the importance of the purpose of omoiyari hyougen when talking with other speakers, especially with Japanese citizens. This study aims to describe the purpose of using omoiyari hyougen in the Coquelicot-Zaka Kara anime. This type of research is qualitative research with descriptive analysis method and data collection using listening technique, followed by free engagement speaking technique and note taking technique. The data of this research is utterances containing omoiyari hyougen and the data source used is the film Coquelicot-Zaka Kara. From the results of the study, it was found that there were 20 data of omoiyari hyougen which were divided into 5 objectives, namely: the goal of maintaining consensus was 1 data, optimizing the comfort of others as much as 6 data, social reciprocity as much as 11 data, intuitive communication as much as 1 data, and feelings of guilt as much as 1 data.

This study aims to observe the trends in the categories and types of topics raised by male and female Japanese speakers in conversations with contact situations (with Indonesian speakers) at the first meeting. The conversation is conducted via roleplay in the Japanese language with two settings: a conversation at a cultural exchange event at a university in Indonesia (first setting) and a conversation on a train in Indonesia (second setting). The experiment involved 20 groups consisting of 10 male conversation groups and 10 women's conversation groups. Each group consists of one Japanese-speaking student and one Indonesian-speaking student. Conversations were conducted online using ZOOM and were recorded by researchers. Conversation topics were collected using the conversational engagement-free listening technique and the note-taking technique, in which the researcher listened to the recorded conversations and recorded the topics raised by Japanese speakers. From the data obtained, it is known that male and female Japanese speakers, both in the first and second settings, mainly raise topics related to the Indonesian-Japanese situation and culture. Topics in the category of personal information are also often raised by male and female Japanese speakers in both the first and second settings. In addition, judging from the number of types of topics and the number of occurrences of topics, female Japanese speakers tend to focus less on specific topics. In contrast, male Japanese speakers tend to focus on specific topics.

The study is in the background of Jouken Hyougen, which has the same meaning, so students have difficulty distinguishing the use of a form of reinforcement in a sentence. This study aims to describe the ability to use jouken hyougen (to, ba, tara, and nara) by Japanese language students in the class of 2020 at the Japanese Language Education study program at Padang State University. The kind of research used in this study is a descriptive method whose data is in the form of scores. The population in this study is the 2020s Japanese language students of the 2020 class of Padang State University of 51. The sample in this study uses the full sampling population, in which the entire population is sampled by 2020 Japanese education students of Padang State University, conducted by 35 people. The data in this study is the value of the results of the test capability to use jouken hyougen at a 2020 Japanese language education Padang State University. Based on the results of the study conducted, the overall ability of the 2020 Japanese language education department at Padang State University is 'less' qualified, with an average value of 47.43.
