Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan yang telah dijabarkan pada bab sebelumnya mengenai klasifikasi wasei-eigo pada aplikasi TODAI yang dimuat pada artikel NHK edisi Nov-Des 2022 dapat disimpulkan bahwa dari 24 data wasei-eigo yang ditemukan berdasarkan klasifikasi menurut teori Shibasaki, Tamaoka dan Takatori (2007) terdapat sebanyak 6 data jenis imizurekata, sebanyak 8 data jenis tanshukukata, sebanyak 8 data jenis eigohyougenfuzaikata, dan terdapat juga gabungan dari dua wasei-eigo yaitu imizurekata dan tanshukukata sebanyak 1 data, lalu tanshukukata dan eigohyougenfuzaikata sebanyak 1 data. Pada penelitian ini tidak ditemukan data wasei-eigo jenis junwaseikata.

Abstract

Kansha hyougen is a symbolic means of showing gratitude or restoring an imbalance caused by the benefits received by the speaker from the hearer. However, many people in Indonesia, especially Japanese language learners, are not fully aware of how important it is to use kansha hyougen when speaking with interlocutors, especially with Japanese individuals. This research aims to describe the variations in the use of kansha hyougen in the anime Flying Witch. The research type is qualitative with a descriptive analysis method, and data collection is done using the observation technique, followed by free observation and note-taking. The data used in this research are utterances containing kansha hyougen from the film Flying Witch. The results of the study found a total of 28 instances of kansha hyougen, which can be categorized into 8 variations: 2 instances of thanking speech acts, 4 expressions of psychological acts of gratitude, 0 instance of expressing gratitude towards an object, 5 instances discussing obligations, 6 instance discussing benefits, 0 offering repayment, 9 instances of positive evaluations, and 2 instances of stating the hearer as the beneficiary.

Abstract

Ryakugo is a word that can be found in everyday life, but sometimes many people still don't know what words are part of ryakugo. Anime is animation from Japan, in anime it is not uncommon to find words in the form of ryakugo. This research aims to explain the formation of the word ryakugo in the anime Jujutsu Kaisen Movie 0 by Gege Akutami. This research type is qualitative research with descriptive methods. In this study, 1 data were found in the ryakugo in the form of zenbu shouryakukei or shortening of the first syllable, 16 data were found in the ryakugo in the form of gobu shouryakukei or abbreviation of the last syllable, 3 data were found in the ryakugo in the form of chuu shouryakukei or abbreviation of the Middle tribe and 1 data were found in the ryakugo in the form kousei youso tanbun ketsugoukei or abbreviation of the middle and last terms.

Abstract

Perlocutionary speech acts is a speech act that provides information uttered by a speaker where the utterance contains intentions and objectives that cause an effect or influence based on the utterance. However, there are still many people who find it difficult and confused about the meaning conveyed by the speaker and the meaning understood by the speaker is different from the intention conveyed by the speech partner. This study aims to describe perlocutionary speech acts based on types and sentence forms in the anime movie Yuru Camp by Director Yoshiaki Kyougoku. This type of research is a qualitative research with a qualitative descriptive method. Qualitative research was chosen because the data studied is in the form of utterances that neeed to be explained and described in words. Data collection technique using tapping, listening, and note-taking technique. This research uses the theory of perlocutionary speech acts types and sentence forms according to Yule, and context theory according to Hymes. From the research results, it wa foun that there were 63 data of perlocutionary speech acts which were divided into 5 types and 3 forms of perlocutionary speech acts, namely: 3 data of declaration speech acts, 22 data of directive speech acts, 20 data of expressive speech acts, 11 data of representative speech acts, and 7 data of commissive speech acts. while the forms of sentences are: 42 data of declarative sentence forms, 10 data of imperative sentence forms, and 11 data 0f interrogative sentence forms.

Abstract

The writing discussed analysis function of dake in manga Kimetsu no Yaiba by Koyoharu Gotouge. The writer chose the title due to the lack of explanation of those words in Japanese books, therefore there were still many mistakes in using dake. In Sutedi (2018), Dake had 12 functions  in the sentence, but only 4 function were found in this study. This type of research is a qualitative research with descriptive method. The function of dake shows limitations, levels, habits, and affirmation  of another.

Abstract

Code-switching involves the transition between different language varieties or between different languages. This phenomenon occurs in anime, particularly in the anime "Great Pretender." The anime's appeal lies in its characters frequently code-switching within the same conversation. Finding the factors that affect code-switching in "Great Pretender" is the study’s main purpose. The study used method in the form of descriptive through a qualitative approach to collect data in tangible of code-switching dialogues using techniques of observation and note-taking. The approach of intralingual matching is used to analyze the data. 10 examples of code-switching between the Japanese and English languages are found as a consequence of the investigation. 4 elements contribute to the use of code-switching in the anime "Great Pretender": (a) the speaker or interlocutor, (b) the listener or conversational partner, (c) change in situasion due to the presence of a third person, and (d) change of topic of conversation.

Abstract

Data Neraca Pendidikan daerah kemendikbud yang menunjukan nilai rata-rata Uji Kompetensi Guru (UKG) nasional berada di poin 53.02. Nilai ini tentu saja masih jauh dalam target Standar Kompetensi Minimal (SKM) 55. Sementara untuk wilayah kota Padang Panjang sendiri adalah 64.28 dan kompetensi guru pada level Sekolah Menegah Pertama berada diposisi kedua lebih rendah dibandingkan guru Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA). Selanjutnya kompetensi terendah ada pada kompetensi pedagogik. Hal ini tentu menjadi sumber masalah dalam keberlanjutan proses pembelajaran. Solusi yang ditawarkan untuk mengatasi masalah ini adalah dengan memberikan bimbingan teknis penguatan pedagogik dalam framework TPACKatau Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledgemelalui model pembelajaran SAMR (Substitution, Augmentation, Modification, and Redefinition) berbasis Mobile Aided Instruction.TPACK adalah framework pengetahuan guru abad 21 yang berguna menunjang skill pengajaran. Sementara SAMR adalah model pembelajaran yang mengintegrasikan teknologi di kelas. Pengetahuan dan model ini dapat didukung pelaksanaannya oleh  aplikasi-aplikasi pembelajaran berbasis mobile yang atau Mobile Aided Instructionatau pengajaran berbantukan handphone.Pelatihan ini bermanfaat untuk meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran 4.0

Abstract

Online learning has been implemented widely at school, including in language learning. But, there are still many language teachers who encounter difficulties in doing online learning evaluations. To improve the language teachers' ability to do the learning evaluation with online media, we conducted training for the teachers about online learning evaluation media. Training participants were a group of Senior High School and Vocational high school teachers in Padang. The training was carried out with the stages of introducing the types of online learning evaluation media, tutorials on how to use some applications for online learning evaluation, and teachers simulating the online learning evaluation they had designed. The training result showed the improvement in teachers' ability to do learning evaluations with online media. The post-test results were two times higher than the pre-test results. Both tests' results showed a significant difference between before and after training.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity was improving students understanding and mastery in Japanese calligraphy (shodō) as the medium to develop kana writing skill. The programme was implemented at SMK Kartika 1-2 Padang involving the 23 students. The training was developed with an educational and innovative focus, structuring it with lectures, discussion, demonstration, and guided practice. Two kinds of features were focused: (1) The knowledge on Japanese calligraphy and the ways of writing kana and (2) Practical skills for making Japanese calligraphy works. The results of the pretest showed that most students’ knowledge of Japanese calligraphy was still at a low level, with an average score of 56.1. After the training, the posttest results demonstrated significant improvement, with the average score rising to 85.5. More than half of the students (52.17%) reached the “very good” category. From the practical perspective, each student successfully produced one piece of Japanese calligraphy artwork, showing progress in accuracy, neatness, and creativity. In conclusion, the integration of Japanese calligraphy into learning activities proved effective in improving both knowledge and practical skills. This method not only supports students’ language learning outcomes but also fosters cultural appreciation, creativity, and active engagement in the learning process.

Abstract

This community service program was carried out to introduce and train students in kimekomi, a traditional Japanese handicraft, as part of the integration of language, art, and culture in learning Japanese. The activity was conducted at SMKN 9 Padang and involved 27 students. The training employed an educational and creative approach through lectures, discussions, demonstrations, and guided as well as independent practice. Two main aspects were emphasized: (1) students’ knowledge of kimekomi as a traditional Japanese cultural art, and (2) students’ skills in producing kimekomi handicrafts. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ knowledge. The average score increased from 52.3 (pretest) to 87.3 (posttest), with the mode shifting from 50 to 80, and the median rising from 50 to 90. The standard deviation decreased from 21.59 to 9.6, indicating that students’ achievements became more evenly distributed. In terms of skills, all participants successfully completed their kimekomi works according to the given patterns and demonstrated adequate craftsmanship through guided and independent practice. In conclusion, the kimekomi training program proved effective in improving both cognitive and practical aspects of students’ learning. It not only enhanced their understanding of Japanese cultural heritage but also fostered creativity and productivity through hands-on artistic activities.
