Abstract

This research was conducted from April 2020 to October 2020 entitled "Diversity of Tree Species at Syiah Kuala University". The data collection technique was performed through a survey of 21 observation plots including faculties, office units, worship facilities, health facilities and other supporting facilities. The data analysis includes the Important Value (NP) and Species Diversity Index (H'). The results showed that the species composition of trees growing on the campus of Syiah Kuala University were 46 species belonging to 27 families. Six tree species that had relatively high importance value compared to others, namely Pterocarpus indicus (19.61%), Swietenia mahagoni (19.56%), Polyathia longifolia (12.76%), Mimusops elengi (12.48%), Roystonia regia (12.27%), and Samanea saman (10.176%). The Diversity Index (H') of those tree species ranged from 1.549 to 2.634. The conclusion is that the tree species composition was relatively limited when compared to the Cronquist classification, and the tree species diversity index was in the medium category.

Abstract

Crust moss (lichen) is a symbiotic organism between fungi and algae which play important roles in environment and can grow in extreme conditions. Therefore, those are important issues to be concerned. The study was aimed to identify the lichen species and their substrates in the Ie Seu um area of Mesjid Raya District, Aceh Besar Regency. This research used exploratory survey methods. Observations were done at radii of 10, 20 and 30 meters from the hot spring. The parameters of the study were lichen species, types of thallus and substrate. Besides, the parameters consisting of air temperature and humidity, and light intensity were also measured. Data was analyzed descriptively and was revealed in tables and figures. The results  showed that there were 16 lichen species consisting of 7 species (at radius of 10 meters), 6 species (at radius of 20 meters), and 9 species (at radius of 30 meters). From the total species, there were 12 crustose-thallus species and 4 foliose-thallus species. The substrate types serve as the habitat of lichen were trees, stones and dead wood.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of problem-based learning models combined with animation media that can improve students' learning science process skills. The method used in this research is an experiment with a pretest-posttest control group design. This research was conducted at two senior high schools in North Aceh Regency, Aceh, Indonesia. The study was conducted in the even semester of the 2020/2021 Academic Year. The research sample was taken by random sampling of 102 students, namely the experimental group 51 and the control group 51. The parameter measured in the study was the students' science process skills. The data of science process skills were analyzed by parametric statistical test independent sample t-test. The results showed that there was an increase in science process skills after being taught using a problem-based learning model combined with animation media. The conclusion of this study is that the application of problem-based learning models combined with animation media can improve students' science process skills on the sensory system material at SMAN 1 Meurah Mulia and SMAN 1 Tanah Pasir.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan pembelajaran discovery learning dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi system pencernaan pada manusia. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 1 Peusangan Kabupaten Bireuen. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Peusangan yang berjumlah 22 orang siswa, Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada siklus 1 pada observasi pengajar, observasi siswa dan hasil belajar belum mencapai keberhasilan. Masing-masing persentase tingkat keberhasilan hanya mencapai 54%. Pada hasil belajar sedangkan aktivitas pengajar dan siswa mencapai 71,25% Sedangkan kegiatan siswa siklus I adalah 67,5%., sedangkan pada siklus II hasil belajar mencapai 86% dan hasil observasi pengajar dan siswa masing-masing mencapai adalah 96,25%. Sedangkan kegiatan siswa siklus adalah 86,25%, criteria tersebut sudah mencapai tingkat keberhasilan. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran discovery Learning dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII SMP negeri I Peusangan pada materi system pencernaan manusia.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of mangrove diversity in the Gampong Alue Naga area, Syiah Kuala District, Banda Aceh City. This research was conducted from October to December 2020. The study used a survey method, with a purposive sampling technique at each observation station. Determination of the location is in accordance with the characteristics of the mangrove forest habitat that grows in intertidal areas with muddy, loam and sandy soil conditions. The results showed that the value of mangrove diversity was classified into the medium category with an H value of 1.71. The composition of the mangrove species composition is Rhizophora mucronata Lam, Rhizophora apiculata Blume, Avicennia alba Blume, Rhizophora Stylosa Griff, Avicennia marina Forsk, Sesuvium portulacastrum Lam, Soneratia caseolaris Linn, Ipomoea pescaprae L. Sweet. The dominant type of mangrove in the Mangrove ecosystem area of Gampong Alue Naga is Avicennia marina Forsk with an INP value of 278% and the species with the lowest INP value is Soneratia caseolaris Linn with an INP value of 1%. The conclusion of this study shows that the mangrove ecosystem area of Gampong Alue Naga has a moderate Diversity value and shows that the mangrove ecosystem is still relatively stable. Keywords: Mangrove, Diversity, Purposive sampling, Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat keanekaragaman mangrove yang terdapat dikawasan Gampong Alue Naga Kecamatan Syiah Kuala Kota Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini dilakukan dari bulan Oktober – Desember 2020. Penelitian menggunakan metode survei, dengan teknik purposive sampling pada setiap stasiun pengamatan. Penentuan lokasi sesuai dengan kondisi karakteristik habitat hutan mangrove yang tumbuh pada daerah intertidal dengan kondisi jenis tanah berlumpur, berlempung dan berpasir. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai keanekaragaman mangrove tergolong ke dalam kategori sedang dengan nilai H’ 1,71. Komposisi spesies mengrove penyusun yaitu:     Rhizophora mucronata Lam, Rhizophora apiculata Blume, Avicennia alba Blume, Rhizophora Stylosa Griff, Avicennia marina Forsk, Sesuvium portulacastrum Lam, Soneratia caseolaris Linn, Ipomoea pescaprae L. Sweet. Jenis mangrove yang mendominasi di kawasan ekosistem Mangrove Gampong Alue Naga adalah spesies              Avicennia marina Forsk dengan dan spesies terendah yaitu Soneratia caseolaris Linn Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menujukkan bahwa kawasan ekosistem mangrove Gampong Alue Naga memiliki nilai Keanekaragaman sedang dan menunjukkan bahwa ekosistem mangrove masih tergolong stabil. Kata kunci:  Mangrove, Keanekaragaman, Purposive sampling.

Abstract

Soybeans are staple food after rice and corn. Deterioration of soybeans seed during storage caused by soybeans composed of high lipid.  This study was conducted to investigate the effectivity of priming with various concentration turmeric extract on reduce deterioration soybeans seed during storage. The experiment was arranged in non factorial Complete Randomized Design (CRD) with four levels of turmeric extract concentration treatment, (control, 25%, 50% and 75%.).  The ageing process accelerated by subjecting the seeds to high temperature and relative humidity in a chamber (Deluche methods). Germination and vigour were evaluated periodically. The result showed that priming with turmeric extract could increase vigour and germination under ageing conditions. The 25% concentration  extract showed the  higher value of seed vigour than other concentration. Keywords : Soybeans, priming, turmeric extract, storage period.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of various levels of salinity on several M5 soybean mutant lines. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Seed Science and Technology and the Screen House of the Agrotechnology Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Syiah Kuala University. The experiment design that used was factorial 5x4 with three replications and continued the analisis data with the Honest Real Difference Test (BNJ) at 5% level. The first factor was the soybean genotype with 5 levels, namely the Kipas Putih B4, B7 and B15 mutants, and Kipas Putih (mutant parent) and Wilis varieties were used as a comparison. The second factor is the concentration of NaCl which consists of 0 g L-1 (0 ds / m), 4 g L-1 (4 ds / m), 6 g L-1 (5 ds / m), and 8 g L-1. (5.5 ds / m). The results showed that each genotype had different resistance to salinity. At a concentration of NaCl 4 gL-1 (4 ds / m), the genotype has begun to show a decrease in the value of viability and vigor of seeds as well as plant vegetative growth. There is no soybean genotype that is tolerant to salinity with the ability to germinate and grow above 80% or more. The genotypes of Wilis, Kipas Putih and mutants B4 had relatively better germination and growth power in salinity stress compared to mutants B7 and B15.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh LKPD berbasis komik yang telah dikembangkan terhadap motivasi belajar peserta didik pada materi struktur dan fungsi organ tumbuhan di SMP Negeri 1 Montasik Aceh Besar pada semester genap tahun pelajaran 2016/2017mulaitanggal 16 Februarisampaidengan 16 April 2016. Metode yang digunakan dalampenelitian ini adalah metode eksperimendengan pendekatan bersifat kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Montasik Aceh Besar tahun pelajaran 2016/2017 yang terdiri dari 3 rombel. yang berjumlah 62 orang, sampeldalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII-1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan jumlah peserta didik 20 orang dan kelas VIII-2 sebagai kelas kontrol dengan jumlah peserta didik 20 orang di SMP Negeri 1 Montasik Aceh Besar. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu soalberbentuk uraian untuk melihat angket motivasi peserta didik. Analisis data menggunakan uji t dengan bantuan SPSS 17.0 For Windows pada taraf signifikan 0,05. Hasil uji t untuk (1) motivasi, menunjukkan bahwa t-hitung t-tabel yang mana t-hitung 2,2722,204yang berarti terdapatperbedaan motivasi belajarantara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, maka datadibuktikan oleh nilai sig 2-tailed, yang mana nilai sig 2-tailed untuk motivasi belajar 0,0000,05. Kesimpulan menunjukkan bahwa LKPD berbasis komik yang telah dikembangkan berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik pada materi struktur dan fungsi organ tumbuhan di SMP Negeri 1 Montasik Aceh Besar.

Abstract

The study was conducted using the observational method. It assessed blood loss using a calibrated measuring cup every 15 minutes in the first hour after delivery and every 30 minutes for the next hour. The results of the analysis showed that the modelling of early warning identification in laboring mothers is influenced by the age and weight of the mother, which is at a significance of 10%. A major warning sign is an increase in blood pressure rate in the third stage of labor which begins 15 minutes from the start of bleeding, and is categorized as dangerous when the blood volume reaches 600 mL. Therefore, every mother in labor must be monitored regularly and continuously and early warning signs must be taken into account. There is no safe time in cases of blood loss. It is very important to identify the risks in a timely manner to identify the source of bleeding so that it can be handled quickly and appropriately in order to prevent complications and maternal death due to postpartum haemorrhage (PPH). Implication, effective and optimal identification in clinical practice should be evidence-based in order to better determine whether or not intervention is needed to prevent blood loss after childbirth.

Abstract

Inventory of postpartum care plants is a collection of types of plants used by the community in healing postpartum care. This study aims to find out the types, parts, and ways of processing plants used in postpartum care as well as conservation efforts made to plants that have the potential as postpartum care in Singkil District, Aceh Singkil Regency. The research was conducted in July until August 2020, and data collected using a qualitative descriptive method with structural observations and interviews. The data source taken was 50 respondents consisting of 10 physicians, 10 midwives, and 30 mothers who had given birth. Data analysis is done descriptively using a qualitative approach. The results of the study obtained 31 species of plants used for postpartum care, parts of plants used to consist of fruit, seeds, stems, flowers, leaves, tubers, and rhizomes, the processing was carried out by boiling and grinding.
