Abstract

The aim of the research is to know the improvement of writing biography text through method of quantum (TANDUR) and to improve the effectiveness of the students study in writing biography text for grade 10 students of Yayasan Purwa Bhakti Ciawi Bogor. The hypothesis of this research is the there is improvement and the effect of student’s ability to write the biography text through method of quantum (TANDUR). The hypothesis can be accepted and be showed with the score average from the students and also can be showed with the result of observation that be done by two collaborators to know the effectiveness of students study. The writing skill in writing biography text can be improved after the researcher used the quantum (TANDUR) as the method in learning process. That was showed with increasing of the score average in each and every cycle. The score average of pre-test is 59,8 or 60% in percentage. In cycle I obtained the increasing of the score average become 72 or 72% and in cycle II obtained the significant score 81,6 or 82%. The success of writing ability in writing biography text after be applied of quantum (TANDUR) method in classroom action research showed the improvement with the score average 82%. In addition, the difference significantly between the results of test in cycle I obtained 72% and 82% in cycle II. It showed successfulness in applying the method of quantum (TANDUR) through improve the writing ability in writing biography text.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui kemampuan siswa kelas X SMK PGRI Babakan Madang dalam menyimak cerita rakyat, penggunaan media audiovisual, serta kendala-kendala yang dialami oleh siswa ketika penggunaan media audiovisual. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen dengan menggunakan tes dan angket. Dalam penelitian ini tes yang digunakan yaitu tes menyimak memahamai isi cerita rakyat. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X AP1, X AP2, X AP3, X AP4 dan X AP5. Sampel dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan teknik cluster random sampling, sehingga diperoleh kelas X AP1 sebagai kelas eksperimen yang berjumlah 40 siswa dan kelas X AP3 sebagai kelas kontrol yang berjumlah 40 orang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media audiovisual dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menyimak cerita rakyat. Hal itu ditunjukkan dengan melihat hasil (prates) siswa dalam memahami cerita rakyat pada kelas eksperimen masih berada dalam kriteria kurang dengan rata-rata nilai yang diperoleh 57. Pada hasil (postes) memahami cerita rakyat pada kelas eksperimen siswa memperoleh nilai rata-rata 71,75 dan mengalami peningkatan menjadi cukup berhasil, maka terjadi perbedaan yang signifikan dalam menyimak cerita rakyat antara skor hasil tes sebelum dan sesudah dilaksanakan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media audiovisual. Bukti ini diperkuat dengan penghitungan perbandingan mean t0 lebih besar daripada tt yaitu 1,99 lebih kecil dari 3,16 dan lebih besar dari 2,64. Jadi, media audiovisual dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam menyimak cerita rakyat. Dengan demikian terlihat bahwa dengan menggunakan media audiovisual dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menyimak cerita rakyat.

Abstract

The study is aimed at investigating the implementation of Contextual Learning Model in improving students’ ability and their obstacles to write biography. The study was conducted to the students of SMPN 2, Kabandungan, Kabupaten Sukabumi grade VII. Experimental method was employed. There were a control class and an experimental class. The data was collected through test and questionnaire. The sample was taken by using saturated sampling technique. The first hypothesis which stated that the model of contextual learning could improve the ability of students at SMPN 2, Kabandungan, Kabupaten Sukabumi grade VII to write biography is proven to be true. It could be seen from the students’ score of pretest in the experimental class whose average reached 51,0 while the average of the posttest score was 78,3. The average score of students’ pretest in the control class was 47,4 and the model of students as facilitator and explaining was implemented. At the end, the average score of the post test was 65,6. From the score gained, it is clear that the model of contextual learning was more effective to improve students’ ability in writing biography. Based on the mean calculation using t-test formula, it was gained that to =3,72, t0,95=1,67 and the value of t0,99=2,39. It means that to is higher than tt with the comparison of 1,67 less than 3,72 more than 2,39. It clearly shows that the contextual model implemented in the experimental class could improve the students’ biography writing skill. The second hypothesis which stated that the students encountered problems in writing biography was also proven to be true. Based on the result of questionnaire analysis, there were 71% of the students encountering problems in developing the identity of the character, 54% encountering problems in applying the grammar of writing biography, and 49% students encountering problems when they explained the great attitudes of the character. Therefore, it can be concluded that the contextual learning model could improve students’ ability to write biography even though the students still encountered problems.

Abstract

INCREASING TEACHER PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE THROUGH STRENGTHENING SELF-EFFICACY AND TEACHER PROFESSIONAL COMMITMENT (RESEARCH ON PUBLIC ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHERS IN SOUTH BOGOR DISTRICT, BOGOR CITY USING CORRELATION ANALYSIS AND THE SITOREM METHOD)This study aims to find efforts to improve teacher performance by strengthening the variables that are related to This study aims, in general, to improve the professional competence of teachers in public elementary schools teachers in South Bogor District, Bogor City, through efforts to develop the variables of self-efficacy and professional commitment, namely by identifying the strengths of the relationship between these variables. The population in this study was 398 civil servant teachers from 38 public elementary schools in South Bogor District, Bogor City. The sampling technique used in this research is multistage proportional random sampling, which is taking a random sample of the population proportionately. Determination of the proportion of the study population, namely teachers in public elementary schools by 43% from 398 teachers to 170 teachers (rounding), the proportion in each public elementary school in South Bogor District, Bogor City, is the same as the initial distribution, determining the number of samples using the Slovin formula so that 120 are obtained, people. Data were collected using questionnaires and written tests (for professional competency improvement variables) which had been tested for validity and reliability. The results of the study concluded: 1) There is a positive and significant relationship between self-efficacy and the professional competence of teachers. The correlation value ry1 is 0.658, with the strength of the relationship in the category of strong. 2) There is a positive and significant relationship between professional commitment and teacher professional competence; the ry2 correlation value is 0.675 with strong criteria. 3) There is a positive and significant relationship between self-efficacy and professional commitment together with the teacher's professional competence. The correlation value ry12 is 0.756, which means that the relationship is strong

Abstract

IMPROVING TEACHER CREATIVITY THROUGH THE DEVELOPMENT OF SERVANT LEADERSHIP AND SELF EFFICATIONTeacher creativity is the teacher's ability to create new things in teaching so that they have variations in teaching that driving students to be more active and creative. In essence, if teaching is carried out properly, it can be said to be creative. The key to the success of creative development lies in teaching creatively and efficiently in conducive interactions. This is not easy and requires expertise and creativity in learning activities to achieve what is expected. This study aims to point out efforts to increase teacher creativity through an examination of the relationship between research variables, namely the relationship between servant leadership and teacher creativity, the relationship between self-efficacy and teacher creativity, the relationship of both servant leadership and self-efficacy with teacher creativity. The study was conducted using correlational statistical methods to determine whether other variables, namely servant leadership and self-efficacy have a positive relationship with teacher creativity. The research was conducted to the permanent teachers of the SMP Foundation throughout Cigudeg District, Bogor Regency with a population of 267 and a sample of 159 teachers. The results showed that there was a very strong and very significant positive relationship between servant leadership and teacher creativity with a correlation coefficient ρyx1 = 0.983; there is a very strong and very significant positive relationship between self-efficacy and teacher creativity with a correlation coefficient ρyx2 = 0.980, and there is a very strong and very significant positive relationship both servant leadership and self-efficacy together with teacher creativity with the correlation coefficient ρyx3 = 0.989. This evidence shows that teacher creativity can be increased through servant leadership and  self-efficacy.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dibuat dengan tujuan melihat peningkatan kemampuan belajar peserta didik dengan menggunakan quizziz dengan android dimana peserta didik dapat menerapkan kemampuan HOST dengan menggunakan model evaluasi CIPP. Menurut hasil penelitian terdahulu,Penelitian yang dilakukan Mulyati & Evendi (2020) menunjukkan bahwa Quizizz efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik sebesar 63% pada siklus 1 dan 78% pada siklus 2. Selain itu, hasil penelitian Salsabila, dkk (2020) menunjukkan bahwa Quizizz efektif digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. Dimana cara berpikir HOST penting untuk d terapkan oleh peserta didik. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan quizziz dengan android dapat meningkatkan kemampuan HOST dilihat dari hasil yang diperoleh peserta didik serta evaluasi CIPP dapat membantu proses penilaian peserta didik.

Abstract

Penelitian  ini  bertujuan  untuk  menentukan  cara  meningkatkannya kreativitas kerja guru  melalui  motivasi kerja, kepribadian dan  kepemimpinan visioner.  Penelitian  ini  dilaksanakan  di  Sekolah Dasar  Swasta Se-Kecamatan  Bogor  Timur Kota  Bogor. Penelitian ini  melibatkan  jumlah populasi responden  169  GTY , dengan jumlah sampel 119 guru di  Sekolah  Dasar Swasta Se-Kecamatan  Bogor  Timur Kota  Bogor, dengan penentuan sampelnya menggunakan rumus slovin dengan toleransi kesalahan sebesar 5%.  Metode  penelitian  yang digunakan  penelitian  ini  adalah  penelitian  kuantitatif  dengan  desain  analisis  korelasi .  Instrumen yang  digunakan  terdiri  atas  kreativitas kerja guru, motivasi kerja, kepribadian,  dan kepemimpinan visioner. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen dalam bentuk kuesioner dan dianalisis dengan analisis statistik deksriptif dan inferensial. Hasil penelitiannya terdapat  pengaruh  positif  yang sangat signifikan antara variabel motivasi kerja, kepribadian dan kepemimpinan visioner secara bersama sama dengan kreativitas kerja guru dengan kekuatan hubungan  yang  kuat  (r = 0,742 p<0,01). Adanya hubungan positif artinya semakin tinggi motivasi kerja, kepribadian, dan kepemimpinan visioner maka kreativitas kerja guru semakin tinggi. Teori-teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini masih terbatas dan dalam perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan, memungkinkan munculnya teori-teori baru yang dapat menjelaskan tentang Kreativitas kerja guru yang kemudian dapat memberikan hasil yang berbeda pada penelitian-penelitian lainnya.

Abstract

INCREASED LEARNING EFFECTIVENESS THROUGH INSTRUCTIONAL LEADERSHIP AND SCHOOL CULTUREThis study aims to find efforts to improve learning effectiveness through the study of the relationship between instructional leadership and school culture. This study used quantitative research methods with correlational techniques. This research was carried out on permanent foundation teachers at Private Vocational Schools located in Caringin District, Cigombong, Cijeruk, Bogor Regency totaling 26 schools. Sampling using the proportional random sampling technique amounted to 135 from 203 populations. Hypothesis testing was performed at a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that: 1) there was a very significant positive relationship between instructional leadership and learning effectiveness, with a correlation coefficient score ry1 = 0.414; 2) there is a very significant positive relationship between school culture and learning effectiveness because a large correlation coefficient score ry2 = 0.286 was obtained; and (3) there was a very significant positive relationship between instructional leadership and school culture together with learning effectiveness, correlation coefficient score ry12 = 0.451. Based on the results of the study the effectiveness of learning will increase if there are efforts to improve the principal's instructional leadership and school culture.
