Abstract

Poaceae which is characterized by woody stems, segmented reeds, with a hollow book in the middle, yellow, green or purple outer skin. Young stems are always covered with a very tight sheath, hairy brown or blackish, the sheath will fall off as the length of the stem grows. Plant inventory aims to determine the potential and benefits of a plant so that it can be used as a literature study for everyone. There are 4 species of plants found in Cibiru Hilir, namely lemongrass, rice, love grass, and bamboo trees. The morphological identification carried out can be seen through individual observations which are then compared with the literature.

Abstract

Ferns are low-level plants whose distribution is quite wide and are often found on the campus of UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. The aim of this research is to determine the calcification and relationships of ferns that live in the campus area using direct exploration methods by observing their morphological characteristics. The data from morphological observations is then processed into a dendogrm so that relationships can be identified and read using the similarity index formula. The results of this research show that 2 divisions of ferns were found, namely pteridophyta and traceophyta. In the pteridophyta division, 1 class, 2 orders, 6 families and 9 species were found. Meanwhile, in the traceophyta division, 1 class, 1 order, 1 family and 1 species were found. The results of the kinship analysis show that the 10 species of ferns can be divided into 2 large groups based on 16 morphological traits. The relationship between species is measured using the Sorensen similarity index, which shows that several species have a relationship that is very close (≥ 75%), close (51-74%), not close (26-50%), and very not close (≤ 25%). For example, Pityrogramma calomelanos and Adiantum capillus are very closely related with a similarity index of 87.5%, while Pyrrosia piloselloides and Phymatosorus scolopendria are not closely related with a similarity index of 43%.

Abstract

The Liliaceae family has about 280 genera and about 4000 species that are widely distributed on earth. Based on their form of stature this family is a herbaceous group, which is generally geophytic, often poisonous, with rhizomes. All members of this family usually have layered tubers that produce steroidal saponins or steroidal alkaloids from phenylalanine or tyrosine. Inventory research was conducted at the Inclusion Park, Citarum Village, Bandung City. Inventory is an activity of grouping data on a plant species that occupies a certain area to collect data on species richness in an area. The method used in this research is the exploration method, by exploring along the research site and collecting information on the presence of plant species of the family. The results of the study obtained 3 species in the liliaceae family, namely Liriope spicata (Thunb.) Lour., Chlorophytum comosum, and Cordyline fruticosa (L.) A.Chev. Abstract

Medicinal plants are plants that are used by the community to improve the ability to live a healthy life. This public belief that has been carried out from generation to generation has been scientifically proven. Rural communities generally plant various types of plants, both seasonal and perennials, in their yards, which are commonly referred to as living barns, living stalls and living pharmacies. This research was conducted in one of the house yards in Pataruman village, Cihampelas sub-district, Bandung Regency. By identifying medicinal plants based on their morphology and literature studies. The results of this research obtained 6 plant species, namely Katuk, Betel, Bandotan, Honje, Ki Edi, and Aloe Vera. The substances contained in these plants are very beneficial for health, such as flavonoids, alkaloids, tannins, vitamins A, B, C and others. These benefits include antidiabetic, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antioxidant, and can increase breast milk production.

Abstract

Open-seeded plants or gymnosperms are plants with seeds that are not protected by the ovary, so that the seeds can be seen directly without peeling them first from the ovary. This group of gymnosperms can be found in the Batu Kuda tourist area, Cibiru Wetan, Cileunyi District. Therefore, the aim of this research is to determine the diversity of Gymnosperm plants in the Batu Kuda Cibiru Wetan tourist area, Cileunyi District. The method used is direct exploration/observation in the area around the Batu Kuda tourist attraction. The results of observations show that there are five species that occupy the Batu Kuda tourist area, including Pinus merkusii, Pinus yunnanensis, Sequoia sempervirens, Juniperus chinensis, and Juniperus deppeana. The five plants found came from the Pinopsida class.

Abstract

This research aims to identify and document the diversity of Poaceae species on Campus I UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. The Poaceae family, or grasses, have an important role in ecosystems, agriculture and the economy. This study uses direct exploration methods to observe and collect data about Poaceae species in the campus area. A total of 13 types of plants from the Poaceae family were identified, with most of them being herbaceous and one species being a tree, namely Bambusa multiplex. The Poaceae species diversity index in this area was calculated using the Shannon-Wiener formula, which shows an H' value of 2.51, indicating moderate species diversity. The results of this research provide in-depth insight into ecosystem dynamics in the campus area and support efforts to conserve biodiversity through better management strategies.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the morphology of thallus lichen types as a bioindicator of air pollution in Cibiru. The method used is exploratory descriptive with survey techniques. Sampling was carried out at the Cibiru roundabout park which has a range of air temperatures and humidity levels, namely an air temperature of 28° and an air humidity level of 77.2%. The results of this research were that 1 type of lichen was found which belongs to the genus Dirinaria, namely Dirinaria applanata, with the characteristic of having irregular and folded lobes with relatively loose ends attached to the substrate, often containing rizines to help them attach to the substrate. The general morphology of the thalus found at the observation site tends to be round, elongated vertically, and irregular. The general morphological color of the thalus found is gray, bluish or almost white. Lichen can be used as a bioindicator for air quality tests, indicating air pollution. With the level of lichen diversity decreasing, the air quality is low.
