Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh bukti empiris tentang pengaplikasian model pembelajaran Flipped Classroom dalam meningkatkan kepercayaan diri dan kemampuan berbicara Bahasa Inggris mahasiswa di perguruan tinggi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu (quasi experiment) dengan populasi penelitian mahasiswa manajemen Universitas Putra Indonesia YPTK Padang. Secara acak dipilih dua kelas sebagai sampel penelitian, yaitu 45 orang mahasiswa dikelas M.2 sebagai kelas kontrol dan 35 orang mahasiswa di kelas M.1 sebagai kelas eksperimen. Kelas eksperimen diberi perlakuan pembelajaran model Flipped Classroom dan kelas kontrol diberi perlakuan pembelajaran konvensional. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes berbicara (speaking) dan kuisioner untuk mahasiswa M.3. Data dihitung dengan menggunakan SPSS versi 26. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) ada perbedaan signifikan antara hasil postes mahasiswa kelas eksperimental dan mahasiswa kelas kontrol. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil tes yang menunjukkan signifikansi dari nilai akhir di kelas eksperimen 0,040 lebih rendah dari 0,05 atau bisa diformulasikan dengan 0,040<0,05. Artinya terdapat perbedaan nilai akhir yang signifikan antara kelas control dan kelas eksperimen; (2) mahasiswa senang dengan pengaplikasian Flipped Classroom, termotivasi, lebih mudah berbicara dalam Bahasa Inggris, terbantu dalam berbicara dalam Bahasa Inggris, dan dapat belajar dimanapun dan kapanpun.

Abstract

PKM ini diusulkan untuk melakukan kegiatan yang bersifat sosialisasi dan edukasi untuk meningkatkan kompetensi bahasa Inggris melalui aplikasi mobile di rumah asuh YABNI Padang. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat membantu Anak-anak menggunaan smartphone berbasis android dapat mendukung pemelajar bahasa Inggris dalam mempercepat pencapaian kemampuan berbahasa Inggris. Penggunaan mobile smartphone berbasis android akan mengembangkan keterampilan pemelajar menyesuaikan segmentasi skill yang akan dicapai. Pembelajar bisa memilih aplikasi yang mereka inginkan seperti berbicara, mendengar, membaca, menulis, memahami konten bahasa, kosakata, dan bahkan kontruksi kalimat bahasa Inggris. Mobile smartphone dapat digunakan oleh semua kalangan untuk membantu mengembangkan keterampilan berbahasa Inggris dan juga dapat dijadikan sebagai sumber belajar. Tujuan pengabdian ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kompetensi bahasa Inggris melalui Aplikasi Mobile di Rumah Asuh YABNI Padang. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian ini dilakukan dalam beberapa kegiatan yaitu tahap survei yaitu dengan menyusun berbagai hal yang akan disampaikan pada saat kegiatan pengabdian yang akan dilakukan yang meliputi: penyusunan materi yang akan diberikan, penyusunan jadwal pemberian materi, pembagian tugas tim pengabdian dan survei ke lokasi pengabdian. Tahap selanjutnya yaitu sebelum kegiatan pengabdian dilaksanakan terlebih dahulu dilakukan tahap sosialisasi yaitu melakukan silaturahmi dengan pimpinan yayasan Rumah Asuh YABNI Padang., menyampaikan maksud dan tujuan pengabdian ini. Pada tahap ini juga dilakukan jalinan kerjasama dan menentukan jadwal kegiatan pengabdian.

Abstract

This study examines the legal implications related to criminal sanctions in Law Number 4 of 2009 concerning Mineral and Coal Mining and other provisions governing environmental protection in Indonesia. The main focus of the study is on the ambiguity of the "obstruction" element in Article 162 which has the potential to criminalize communities trying to protect their natural resources from mining exploitation. Through a normative legal approach, this study highlights the need to reform legal provisions to be clearer and fairer, and proposes a dialogue between communities and the government to ensure that community rights are protected. The results of the study indicate the importance of reviewing and definitively explaining ambiguous provisions in order to create legal certainty and justice for all parties involved.

Abstract

The Indonesian region has a wealth of natural and cultural resources that provide large capital for the tourism sector. Tourism is one of the creative economies that is currently in the development stage. New Celosia Bandungan is one of the tourist destinations that has high appeal in the Bandungan area, Central Java. This research aims to analyze strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) as well as policy analysis that can be carried out to develop tourist attractions owned by New Celosia as a tourist destination. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach with data collection through field observations, interviews with informants, and documentation. The analysis results show that New Celosia has several strengths, such as affordable ticket prices, attractive photo spots, and complete facilities. However, weaknesses were also found, such as non-functioning rides and relatively expensive food prices. Regarding opportunities, the strategic location and increasing tourism demand provide potential for further development. On the other hand, threats such as competition with other tourist attractions and extreme weather must also be anticipated. Based on this SWOT analysis, it is recommended that New Celosia Tourism improve the management of facilities and services, as well as take advantage of existing development opportunities to increase visiting interest and competitiveness in the tourism industry.

Abstract

Range of Motion (ROM) exercises are essential for elderly individuals with joint limitations, particularly in nursing homes where many residents experience joint stiffness. Caregivers, responsible for assisting these elderly individuals, often lack knowledge of ROM exercises, which are crucial in alleviating joint issues and preventing muscle and tissue degeneration. This study aims to ensure that elderly caregivers comprehend and can correctly teach ROM techniques, as well as understand their benefits for elderly individuals with physical mobility limitations. Additionally, caregivers should be able to implement ROM procedures and conduct evaluations to maximize the benefits for the elderly. This study uses a quantitative method with a pre-experimental approach to measure changes in caregivers’ knowledge after receiving ROM training. Data were collected using pre-test and post-test questionnaires, assessing caregivers’ understanding of ROM techniques and their benefits for the elderly. Observations were also conducted during the training to evaluate participant engagement. The data from the pre-test and post-test were analyzed using descriptive statistics, with frequency analysis to measure knowledge changes such as 30%, 20%, or 10% improvements, and identifying those with no improvement or decreased knowledge. The results show that The Training of Trainee (TOT) activity successfully improved caregivers’ knowledge. Among the 20 participants, 7 (35%) showed a 20% increase in knowledge, 4 (20%) showed a 10% improvement, and 1 (5%) had a 30% increase. However, 4 participants (20%) showed no improvement, and 4 (20%) exhibited a decrease in knowledge. Despite some negative outcomes, the overall result indicates that the training effectively enhanced caregivers’ understanding of ROM exercises and their role in improving the mobility of elderly individuals. The TOT activity successfully achieved its goal of enhancing the caregivers' knowledge of ROM techniques. The results suggest that further training is necessary to ensure continuous improvement in caregivers' skills, ultimately benefiting the physical mobility of elderly individuals.

Abstract

Indonesia is an archipelagic country with an ocean area wider than land. Indonesia's ocean areas contain many maritime activities, one of which is shipping and trade. This activity causes a lot of domestic and foreign transportation to pass through Indonesia's maritime areas. It is not uncommon for domestic and international sea transportation to discharge exhaust emissions from their fuel onto the sea surface, causing marine damage. This article was created with the aim of summarizing previous research to make it easier for readers and to find out the appropriate types of maritime chemical fuels, combustion and exhaust emissions, as well as reducing pollution from combustion. The review of studies uses a comparative approach, collecting sources from Google Scholar and PubMed databases, as well as national and international publications. The research results show that liquefied natural gas (LNG) and hydrogen are good candidates to replace chemical fuels because they are both sulfur-free.

Abstract

Sistem Informasi Manajemen terhadap sector Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah, dengan berfokus pada peran perempuan sebagai kepala keluarga. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana implementasi Sistem Informasi Manajemen dapat mempengaruhi kinerja dan keberlanjutan Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah yang dipimpin oleh perempuan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan normative, yang dilakukan melalui analisis tentang manfaat sistem informasi manajemen bagi pelaku Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengahdan upaya perempuan dalam mengatasi masalah ekonomi keluarga selama pandemic. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan tentang pentingnya Sistem Informasi Manajemen dalam mendukung sektor Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah, khususnya dalam konteks perempuan sebagai penggerak utama dalam keluarga.

Abstract

BIOSYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERIZATION OF GOLD NANOPARTICLES AND THEIR INTERACTION STUDY WITH METFORMIN. Synthesis of gold nanoparticles successfully carried using Imperata cylindrica L leaf extract. In this study, the approach used through green synthesis method is a reaction betwen of the HAuCl4 solution (concentration variation as 3; 5; 7 x 10-4 M) with Imperata cylindrica L leaf extract. Results of UV-Vis showed of gold nanoparticles has a maximum wavelength at 530 nm with absorbance value of 1.4. Results of FTIR shows a shift the absorption peak at wavenumber of 3392 cm-1 to 3404 cm-1. PSA and PZC showed the distribution of gold nanoparticles was 48.84 nm with a charge of 20.5 mV. Gold nanoparticles has a spherical shape and an average particle size of 20 nm which can be seen from the results of the characterization using TEM. XRD showed crystalize size average of gold nanoparticles as 20.47 nm. The interaction between of gold nanoparticles with metformin can be seen in the absorbance decrease of 0.38 at a wavelength of 531 nm and the results of PSA shows an average particle size of AuNPs@metformin is 122 nm. From the characterization data can be concluded the gold nanoparticles were successfully synthesized using natural bioreductors by utilizing secondary metabolites from Imperata cylindrica L leaf extract.

Abstract

Cases of reproductive health problems in adolescents are still found, this is influenced by several factors, one of which is the lack of knowledge and motivation of adolescents to maintain reproductive health. The aim of the research was to identify the knowledge and practice of caring for the external genital area in female adolescents and to identify the results of the analysis of the relationship between knowledge and care for the external genital area in adolescents. Analytical descriptive research methods with a cross sectional approach. Take measurements on each variable at the same time. The sampling technique is the total sample. The Pearson Chi-square test, an alpha value of 0.05, and a 95% confidence interval (CI) were used to analyze the data using the SPSS version 24 program. According to the study's findings, the average knowledge of young women was good (74.8%) and poor (24.2%).The average implementation of treatment for the external genitalia area in young women is routinely done (75.8%) and rarely done (24.2%). With a p value of 0.05, there is a significant relationship between knowledge and care of the external genitalia area in young women.The results of the analysis of knowledge on young women have a significant relationship with the treatment of the external genitalia area, with a p value <0.05 (α 0.05). The role of the family to supervise and support the implementation of reproductive health programs in adolescents is very much needed, as well as the role of health workers in providing health education and promotion to increase the motivation of adolescents in maintaining the health of the reproductive organs.
