Abstract

This study discusses line balancing in the production of irons at PT Philips Industries Batam, aiming to improve efficiency by addressing bottlenecks in the manufacturing process. The main focus is to optimize task distribution across workstations to minimize non-value-added time and enhance production line performance. Before the improvements, line efficiency was recorded at 94%, but there was still considerable idle time. Data collection was conducted through direct observation and time measurement of 18 operations using the Ranked Positional Weight (RPW) method. The analysis revealed that the implementation of Unique Device Identifier (UDI) labels led to increased operational times, particularly in operations 11, 15, and 18, causing workflow delays. After applying line balancing strategies, efficiency significantly improved from 67.97% to 96.23%. This study demonstrates that better task distribution can reduce production delays and support the achievement of operational targets. Key improvements include a reduction in balance delay and a smoother production flow, resulting in increased overall productivity. These findings highlight the importance of line balancing in optimizing manufacturing performance and provide valuable insights for industries seeking to enhance competitiveness through a more efficient production system.

Abstract

Oranges are a fruit that is in great demand by the public. Oranges have a sweet taste and distinctive aroma. Orange peel debris is one of the problems that is of concern to the government. This is because there are still many people who do not use it and just throw it away. This is because many people still don't know that orange peel waste contains the active substance d-lemonene. The d-lemonene compound is a compound that has a fragrant and refreshing aroma, so it can provide a calming feeling to those who inhale it. Therefore, this study aims to see the effect of the fragrant aroma of raw orange peel extract on changes in blood pressure. The extraction method used is steam distillation in order to maximize the yield obtained. After obtaining the raw extract, it was characterized using Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) to determine the skin content. The research results showed that the yield of orange peel extract calculated based on the volume of extraction results divided by the sample weight in grams was 20% (v/w). Based on the results of Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) characterization, it shows that the sample contains the compound d-lemonene. The effectiveness test showed a decrease in blood pressure in respondents who had high blood pressure and an increase in pressure in respondents who had low blood pressure. The reason is that the d-lemonene compound contained in orange peel can provide a calming sensation. This can happen because the d-lemonene compound is able to inhibit neuroinflammation and nitrite levels in the hippocampus and relieve anxiety through DAergic and GABAergic nerve activity mediated by A2A receptors.Keywords: Blood Pressure, Essencial Oil, Orange Peel

Abstract

La ronde et autres faits divers is collection of short stories explores the hars reality faced by marginalized potrayed by J.M.G. Le Clézio. This research will examine how the marginalized are represented and how the relation between characters is displayed through the narratives.  This research uses a qualitative approach with a sociology perspective. The materials objects are three short stories titled Voleur O Voleur, Ariane, and Moloch with a formal object of its narrative structures. Data collection was carried out by documenting words, phrases, dialogues depicting the relation between hero(ine)s with other characters, then analyzing them using content analysis techniques adapted to the concept of genetic structuralism. The results of this research shows that modernization has many negative impacts on French society, such as demoralization, individualism, and environmental destruction. Le Clézio presents his worldview through his writing in which he describes the injustice and alineation experienced by hero(ine) who are trapped in modern society. The author employs realism to convey criticism and reveal the true reality, where the author feels pessimistic over the impacts of the modernization. Through its ambivalence, Le Clézio shows that no matter how hard individuals try to escape the shackles of modernization, they will still be part of the process itself.

Abstract

The Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach effectively enhances meaningful and relevant biology learning while fostering critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills. By aligning with sustainable education principles, CTL supports the achievement of SDGs and equips students to address global challenges. It is recommended that educators receive training to design CTL-based strategies, integrate local and global themes, and explore its application across diverse educational contexts and models.

Abstract

Penelitian Penelitian ini mengevaluasi implementasi pendidikan karakter di MTs Ma'arif NU 1 Sumpiuh berdasarkan nilai-nilai QS An-Naml ayat 40 yang mencakup keikhlasan, tanggung jawab, dan kesadaran ketuhanan. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi kasus, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam kepada dua guru dan kepala sekolah. Hasil menunjukkan nilai-nilai karakter seperti kejujuran, tanggung jawab, kerendahan hati, dan spiritualitas telah terintegrasi dalam pembelajaran melalui keteladanan guru, penguatan nilai, dan pembiasaan sehari-hari. Namun, implementasi masih menghadapi kendala berupa keterbatasan waktu, kurangnya koordinasi sekolah-orang tua, dan pemahaman guru yang belum maksimal terhadap penilaian karakter berbasis Al-Qur'an. Penelitian menegaskan pentingnya penguatan nilai-nilai Qur'ani dalam pendidikan untuk membentuk generasi yang cerdas intelektual dan unggul dalam akhlak, serta perlunya sinergi lebih baik antara stakeholder pendidikan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kapabilitas internal pemilik usaha sebagai sumber daya strategis dalam pemanfaatan Artificial Intelligence (AI) berdasarkan perspektif Resource-Based View (RBV), mengkaji proses adopsi teknologi melalui Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), mengidentifikasi kesesuaian pemanfaatan AI dengan tugas kerja menggunakan pendekatan Task–Technology Fit (TTF), serta mendeskripsikan dampak pemanfaatan AI terhadap kinerja pemasaran UMKM Rumah Lemon PKU, khususnya pada aspek efisiensi, penjualan, dan engagement konsumen. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Pemilihan informan dilakukan melalui teknik purposive sampling, dengan fokus pada pemilik UMKM Rumah Lemon PKU sebagai subjek utama penelitian. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis tematik kualitatif untuk menggali pola dan makna dari data yang diperoleh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adopsi AI didorong oleh persepsi kemudahan penggunaan (Perceived Ease of Use) dan persepsi kebermanfaatan (Perceived Usefulness) sebagaimana dijelaskan dalam TAM. Selain itu, ditemukan tingkat kesesuaian teknologi-tugas (TTF) yang tinggi, terutama dalam produksi konten pemasaran dan otomatisasi layanan dasar. Pemanfaatan AI terbukti memberikan dampak positif terhadap efisiensi operasional dengan penghematan biaya pemasaran sekitar 70–85%, peningkatan efisiensi waktu, serta mendukung akuisisi konsumen baru. Sejalan dengan perspektif RBV, nilai strategis AI sangat bergantung pada kapabilitas internal pemilik dalam mengelola dan memanfaatkannya secara optimal.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of self-confidence, learning environment, and frequency of practice on English speaking ability. The sample of the study consisted of 40 third-semester English Education students at UIN Walisongo Semarang who were enrolled in the Professional Listening & Speaking course. A questionnaire that had undergone validity and reliability tests was used to collect data. Multiple linear regression was used in this study to ascertain the simultaneous and partial effects of the three independent variables on speaking ability. The findings of the study showed that learning environment (X2), frequency of practice (X3), and self-confidence (X1) all had significant impacts on English speaking ability (Y). Learning environment and self-confidence were the next two factors that contributed the most, after frequency of practice. With an R-squared value of 94.15%, the regression model was able to account for 94.15% of the variation in English speaking ability, with 5.85% coming from characteristics not included in the model. The model met the criteria of independence, homoscedasticity, and normality, according to the residual assumption test, which confirmed the validity of the analysis findings.

Abstract

The planned villa development in the hilly area of Cisarua, Bogor, requires a comprehensive geotechnical study to ensure the safety and reliability of the building foundations. This study aims to identify soil layer characteristics, determine soil consistency, and evaluate the allowable bearing capacity of shallow and deep foundations based on Cone Penetration Test (CPT) results at three investigation points. Primary data consist of cone resistance (qc) and total sleeve friction (Tf) measured at 20 cm depth intervals, which are then interpreted to obtain the stratigraphic soil profile, in-situ soil classification using qc and friction ratio (fr), as well as the calculation of allowable bearing capacity using the L. Herminier approach for shallow foundations and the Meyerhof method for deep foundations. The results indicate that soft to firm soil layers are found at shallow depths, while hard soil layers with qc values of about 250 kg/cm² occur at depths of 24–25 m, which are suitable as the main bearing layer for deep foundations. The allowable bearing capacity of shallow foundations at depths of 1.0–2.0 m ranges from approximately 1.9 to 12.0 ton/m², making them suitable only for light structures with careful settlement control, whereas for heavier structures, pile foundations extending to the hard layer are recommended, supported by static load tests and, if necessary, additional deep boring and SPT investigations.​

Abstract

Anemia among adolescent girls remains a significant public health problem that affects physical development, cognitive performance, and academic productivity. Limited nutritional knowledge and the underutilization of locally available nutrient-rich foods contribute to the high prevalence of anemia in this population. This community service program aimed to improve students’ knowledge of anemia prevention through interactive nutrition education and a hands-on demonstration of katuk leaf pudding preparation, a local food rich in iron. The implementation consisted of participatory planning, educational lectures, cooking demonstrations, and evaluation of students’ knowledge using pre-test and post-test assessments involving 85 participants. Data were analyzed through descriptive statistics, normality testing, and paired t-test. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ knowledge after the intervention. The mean knowledge score increased from 9.81 in the pre-test to 15.62 in the post-test. These findings demonstrate that practical, hands-on nutrition education through katuk leaf pudding preparation is highly effective in enhancing students’ understanding of anemia prevention and in promoting the use of local nutritious foods within the school community.

Abstract

Pengabdian Kepada Masyarkat (PKM) merupakan suatu konsep yang melibatkan penerapan pengetahuan, literasi, keterampilan dan sumber daya dari institusi pendidikan atau akademik untuk memcahkan mendukung ekonomi kreatif berkelanjutan. Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 13 November 2025 di SMA Negeri 8 Kota Tanggerang Selatan untuk membantu sekolah meningkatkan kompetensi literasi siswa dalam tahap pemanfaatan terkait penggunaan Canva, capcut, Youtube dan instagram sebagai ladang penambah Kurangnya income bagi siswa. Masalah utama yang dihadapi para siswa seperti kurangnya pemahaman tentang penggunaan platform digital sebagai media kreatif dan sumber penghasilan. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk memberikan pelatihan yang mudah dipahami sehingga siswa dapat menggunakan dan menerapkan secara mandiri. Pelaksanaan PKM ini meliputi himbauan, dan pendampingan secara langsung selama pemaparan materi agar siswa memperoleh pengalaman belajar dan pentingnya literasi digita yang lebih mendalam. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan siswa dalam memahami dasar-dasar pembuatan konten digital, mengoperasikan aplikasi desain dan editing, serta menerapkan strategi pemanfaatan platform digital untuk menghasilkan karya yang bernilai ekonomi.
