Abstract

Meranti islands has a huge potential of sago. Sago becomes one of the alternative foods in Indonesia. Unfortunately, there is a limited space to do a further research on sago. To facilitate the research and development of sago in Meranti islands, it is necessary to do a better design towards the Puslitbang Sago in Selatpanjang. Puslitbang design applies the Coastal Architecture Design, which has a contextual theme that sees the local elements from the surroundings. The design parts are on the typology of the roof, walls, layout and orientation of coastal house. The concept used in this building design is tual sago. Tual is a piece of sago stalk brought from the sago plantation. Being carried on the river, sea or canal, this tual is tied one by one to make a sago bond. This concept is applied based on the function of Research and Development Center as in the management, laboratories and other supporting activities.Keywordrs : Coast Architecture, Development, Research.

Abstract

Rengat is the capital of Indragiri Hulu Regency which has several tourist attractions. One of the most frequently visited tourist objects is Raja Lake which is located on Jalan Sultan Rengat. The location of the lake is quite strategic because it is in the city of Rengat. The lake has enormous potential and has quite number of visitors. However, there are several things that have resulted in reduced visitors. Some of the factors causing the reduced number of visitors to Raja Lake Tourism Object are caused by unmet requests or needs of visitors. For this reason, the quality of the tourism area can be improved by providing those that can meet various recreational needs in a design. The resort design is an appropriate design to advance the Raja Lake tourism object and increase the economic income of Rengat City. In designing this resort on Raja Lake, it requires a design approach that prioritizes aesthetics and comfort for visitors while still paying attention to environmental balance. The right design is Eco-Tech Architecture, which is a design approach that links and harmonizes the environment and is based on concerns about global environmental conservation with an approach to land use energy management and effective waste management in architectural architecture. Abstract

Pelalawan has several attractions, and Bono Waves in Ogis Beach Village Teluk Meranti Sub-district is one of them. However, these attractions are not supported by sufficient facilities, one of which is a residential resort. This design has a close connection with the resort destination in Ogis Beach that is with Coastal Architecture Approach. In addition, the design of tourist attraction area Ogis Beach Beach Bono will apply the concept of "Rhythmic Rising Waves" which is the main basic concept in the design. In this concept there are several applications of the design of the nature of waves, such as masses and roofs adapted from the nature of waves that have a low rhyming high. The color of the building is adapted from the color of the kampar river like the color of wood is brown. Then the circulation in the building that is created does not have a partition, so it can surprise people who see it. This design has a design that applies the principle of coastal architecture and the concept taken from the nature of the waves. By using some application of the concept, this design can minimize the negative influence gained from coastal tourism area ogis estuary bono. So this design provides benefits, both environmentally and to the design on the building itself. Keywords: Seaside Resort Ogis Muara Bono in Pelalawan with the Approach Coastal Architecture.

Abstract

Gemala Sari village, located on the outermost island adjacent to Malaysia and the Indonesian island of Batam, holds a natural and exotic beauty. The challenging condition of access roads to the villages will add to the challenges of the natural tourist adventurers who are currently being loved now. This becomes interesting if the village community independently wants to manage the ecotourism potential while at the same time introducing other potential potentials in the village. The red lake is caused by the red water due to the swampy ground. The red lake is still somewhat closed and has not been touched by the ignorant hands of the community so that the red lake is still maintained its naturalness. Independent community service activities in collaboration with students of the University of Riau develop the natural potential into their thematic programs. The implementation method is in the form of assistance in realizing ecotourism, and the results of the output in the form of promotional videos of Tasik Merah ecotourism are expected to begin to open people's eyes to develop this potential. From the results of the evaluation of assistance, it is very necessary for the participation of extension participants, especially the local government, to be able to manage this potential on their own. The team hopes that this activity can foster their motivation to be selective and active in media. Smart and critical attitude in media that is grown makes them village youths become a virus for their friends who have not participated in tourism promotion. They also hope that the activity can be carried out sustainably, bearing in mind that this is not just education but also entertainment and foster motivation in developing the country by utilizing the potential around them.

Abstract

The application of biophilic architecture design principle on Riau Mitigation and Disaster Management Center Disaster is a series of events that cause significant loss, even casualties. Indonesia, which was called as Laboratory of Disaster was characterized by the increase of complexity and number of disasters each year, which make mitigation and disaster management skill should be a top priority. Hence, a facility where education for mitigation could be held as needed. This facility was designed for education, recreation, and last evacuation shelter, located in Pekanbaru, Riau, due there wasn’t this type of facility in the province. Considering its function, biophilic design was chosen due to its principle of respecting nature; hence users’ productivity, physical and mental health increase and the existence of natural elements could give comfort and refuge. The design methodology was a site survey and data collection about Biophilic architecture design principles and mitigation and disaster prevention center from journals. The result of this methodology is a design of Mitigation and Disaster Management Center in Riau. © 2020 Miftahul Karima, Yohannes Firzal, Gun Faisal

Abstract

Pekanbaru is a city that is growing rapidly and becomes one of the cities that is frequently visited. But the tourist attraction by the city of Pekanbaru are still lacking. Besides that in the geographical triangle, the water region in Riau Province is bigger than the land area, so the water region in Riau Province has a very high potential. But education about marine life and conservation areas that support biota protection in Riau province is still very least. Therefore, we need a public facility that is equipped with recreational, educational, and conservational needs. To actualize these public facilities, then will be designed an Oceanarium in Pekanbaru City. Oceanarium is a reservoir in a giant aquarium for the conservation of plants and marine biota that serves as a means of education, research, preservation, marine development, and exhibited as a means of recreation. The theme of the Oceanarium in Pekanbaru is Biomorphic Architecture. Biomorphic Architecture is part of architectural design that proposes all ideas taken from organic life, by form, system, or movement. Through the concept of Ocean Life Dynamics, the characteristics of building functions can be made as recreational facilities, conservation, and education about life under the sea.

Abstract

Pekanbaru is a developing capital city that can be seen from the density of community activities in their daily lives. This requires having a fit and healthy body. A fit and healthy lifestyle is also an important requirement for the body. Fitness and good body beauty is the dream of every human being. Lack of fitness in the body will make you weak and less enthusiastic in carrying out your daily routine. From this problem, we need a place that accommodates fitness activities and physical and spiritual health of the body. Generally, Fitness and Wellness facilities in Pekanbaru are still located in shophouses, residences, shopping centers and part of the supporting facilities for star-rated hotels. Therefore a Fitness and Wellness Center is needed that expresses fitness and health by supporting various physical and physical and spiritual activities that have never existed before by presenting aesthetics, technology and building a supporting structure. For that, we need a high-tech architectural principles approach that exposes a structure that is not only load-bearing but also aesthetically pleasing to this building.
