Abstract

Digital image security is an important issue in this era of increasingly massive multimedia-based data exchange, especially for sensitive information that requires a high level of protection. This study aims to analyze the performance of the Rivest Shamir Adleman (RSA) asymmetric cryptography algorithm in the digital image encryption process based on the Mean Squared Error (MSE) and Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) parameters, as well as encryption and decryption times. The method used is a quantitative experiment on 30 digital images with varying resolutions (256×256, 512×512, and 1024×1024 pixels) and two RSA key lengths (1024-bit and 2048-bit). The test results show that the MSE value ranges from 0.001068 to 0.002620 and the PSNR value ranges from 75.08 to 78.34 dB, indicating that the decrypted images are of very high quality and close to the original images. However, the computation time increased significantly with increasing resolution and key length, with RSA 2048-bit taking almost twice as long as RSA 1024-bit. These findings show that the RSA algorithm is very effective in maintaining the integrity of digital images, but has limitations in terms of computational time efficiency, especially for high-resolution images. Therefore, a balance between security and performance is needed in practical implementation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh digital marketing, kualitas layanan, dan inovasi produk terhadap kepuasan pelanggan pada platform e-commerce Tokopedia. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada adanya kesenjangan antara harapan dan pengalaman pelanggan, khususnya pada kalangan mahasiswa sebagai pengguna aktif e-commerce. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada 124 mahasiswa Program Studi Manajemen Angkatan 2024 Universitas Methodist Indonesia. Analisis data yang dilakukan menggunakan regresi linier berganda untuk menguji pengaruh secara parsial dan simultan antar variabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa digital marketing berpengaruh negatif terhadap kepuasan pelanggan, yang mengindikasikan bahwa intensitas promosi yang berlebihan cenderung menurunkan kenyamanan pengguna. Sebaliknya, kualitas layanan dan inovasi produk berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan pelanggan. Inovasi produk menjadi variabel yang paling dominan dalam meningkatkan kepuasan pelanggan, menunjukkan pentingnya pengembangan fitur dan layanan yang relevan dengan kebutuhan pengguna. Secara simultan, ketiga variabel mampu menjelaskan sebesar 65,7% variasi kepuasan pelanggan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa peningkatan inovasi produk dan kualitas layanan perlu menjadi prioritas utama, sementara untuk strategi digital marketing perlu dievaluasi kembali agar lebih efektif, tepat sasaran, dan tidak mengganggu pengalaman pengguna. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi praktis bagi pengelola e-commerce dalam meningkatkan kepuasan pelanggan secara berkelanjutan

Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology has shifted the paradigm of tourism and culinary exploration towards mobile platforms. However, local culinary searches in Medan City are currently still conventional and random. Scattered culinary information across various social media without a comprehensive summary often confuses customers and complicates the promotion of micro-culinary businesses (UMKM) in the digital era. Existing commercial platforms often burden local sellers with high platform taxes. This research aims to design and implement an Android-Based Mobile Application for Local Culinary Recommendations as an effective solution to these problems. This application is built natively using the Java programming language for the Android client side, integrated with a PHP Application Programming Interface (API) and MySQL relational database. The system design involves a Client-Server architecture and includes three distinct access rights: User, Culinary Admin, and Super Admin. Implemented features include dining place search, interactive reviews, ratings, popularity levels based on view counts, and Google Maps API integration for precise culinary navigation routes. The result of this research is a self-managed mobile application that accelerates navigation access for users while assisting business owners in managing their stalls independently, objectively, and expanding their promotional reach without internal transaction fees.

Abstract

The Batak Karo Protestant Church (GBKP) Runggun Diski faces challenges in managing congregation data effectively and accurately. Since the data collection process is still done manually, there is a possibility of recording errors, data retrieval issues, and delays in disseminating information to the congregation. To address these problems, this research aims to design and develop a mobile-based congregation data management application. This application will enable church administrators to manage congregation data more efficiently and effectively. During the application development process, the Agile-based software development method allows for continuous iteration and improvement. The application is developed using technologies such as Android-based programming with the Kotlin programming language and Firebase for real-time data storage. The main features of this application include new congregation member registration, worship attendance recording, personal data management of congregation members, and notifications about church activities. The results of this application development indicate that the application runs well on mobile devices and meets the requirements of GBKP Runggun Diski for managing congregation data. It is expected that the use of this application will improve the efficiency of congregation data management, reduce recording errors, and facilitate administrators in delivering information to the congregation. Additionally, the application allows the congregation to access related information more easily than they had previously.

Abstract

Universitas Methodist Indonesia (UMI) faces various limitations in handling student complaints, which hinder the effectiveness of problem resolution. This research aims to build a web-based student complaint information system that can accommodate and manage student complaints quickly and efficiently. The observation method is used to observe the ongoing complaint process and interactions between students and the existing complaint system. Implementation of this system begins with the creation of a database designed to store and manage complaint data, user information and other important data. The system backend was developed using PHP to handle business logic, including complaint processing, user management, and interaction with the database. As a result, this system changes the complaint management process from previously manual to more efficient and computerized, so that students can easily submit complaints, monitor status, and view complaint history. This system also allows the campus to respond to complaints more quickly and effectively.

Abstract

Currently, study program services to students are considered as one of the tools to achieve the competitive advantage of study programs. The purpose of this research is to design a web-based application that can measure student satisfaction in the D-III Management Informatics and Computerized Accounting Study Program at Methodist University of Indonesia. So far, the satisfaction survey has been carried out in a conventional way through Google Form and to recap the incoming data using Ms.Excel. The application design is carried out with a modeling language using UML and the programming used is PHP using the MySQL database. This application is designed to collect data on student satisfaction with academic services, learning processes, student services and facilities and infrastructure. The results of this survey will provide recommendations to the head of the study program on indices that need to be improved and support the study program accreditation process.

Abstract

The rapid development of cloud storage services within cloud computing technology offers significant convenience for storing and managing digital data. However, this development also raises serious data security challenges, including risks of data leakage, theft, and unauthorized access. One widely used solution to address these issues is the implementation of cryptographic techniques, particularly the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) algorithm with a 256-bit key length. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the AES 256-bit algorithm in enhancing data security in cloud storage services through a literature review approach. The study reviews ten relevant national and international journal articles discussing the application of AES-256 in digital storage systems and cloud computing environments. The results indicate that the AES 256-bit algorithm is effective in maintaining data confidentiality and integrity during both storage and transmission. The 256-bit key length provides a high level of security and strong resistance to cryptanalytic attacks. However, several studies also identify challenges related to processing time efficiency and encryption key management. Therefore, it can be concluded that AES 256-bit is a reliable solution for improving data security in cloud storage services, provided that its implementation is adapted to system requirements and supported by effective key management.
