Abstract

The psychological well-being of students is very important to create a good and productive learning environment. In an effort to provide SMAS Hang Tuah Makassar teachers with a better understanding of the concept of mental health and strategies to improve it in the learning environment, a seminar on Psychological Well Being of Students in the learning process was held. Participants gain a broad understanding of the factors that influence students' psychological well-being, the role of teachers in creating a supportive environment, and methods and approaches that are useful for improving psychological well-being. The results of the pre- and post-test evaluations showed that the teachers understood and comprehended this concept better after attending the seminar.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are essential for students to face the demands of the digital era and global competition. However, learning in higher education often remains conventional and does not optimally support the development of higher-order thinking. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) teaching module integrated with GeoGebra in improving students’ critical thinking skills and to explore their learning perceptions. The research employed a quantitative quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. A total of 20 students participated, divided into an experimental group using the PBL–GeoGebra module and a control group using a conventional economic mathematics module. Data were collected through pre-test and post-test critical thinking assessments as well as perception questionnaires. Descriptive and inferential analyses were performed using independent t-tests with SPSS for Windows. The results indicate a significant difference between groups, with the experimental group showing higher improvement in critical thinking skills. Students also conveyed positive perceptions of the module, noting increased motivation, active engagement, and improved conceptual understanding through interactive visualization. These findings demonstrate that the PBL–GeoGebra module is effective in enhancing critical thinking skills and provides a more meaningful and applicable learning experience suitable for use as an innovative alternative in higher education.

Abstract

The mathematical generalization ability of students at one junior high school, especially in Makassar, is relatively low. One alternative to improve students' mathematical generalization abilities is to apply active, collaborative and inductive cooperative learning models. This research aims to determine the difference in the average score of mathematical generalization abilities of students taught through active, collaborative and inductive cooperative learning models, and students taught through cooperative learning models on flat-sided geometric material. This research used a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group design in class VIII at a junior high school in Makassar, Indonesia. The sample in this study was 35 students in the control group and 31 students in the experimental group. The instrument used is a mathematical generalization ability test. Data were analyzed using the n gain test. Based on the analysis, the average n-gain score for students' mathematical generalization abilities in flat-sided geometric material after being taught by applying active, collaborative and inductive cooperative learning models was 0,51 or experienced a moderate increase and the percentage of learning completeness was 93,55%. Therefore, it can be concluded that junior high school students' mathematical generalization abilities increased after being taught using active, collaborative and inductive cooperative learning models.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran teknologi Augmented Reality (AR) dalam meningkatkan pemahaman spasial siswa pada pembelajaran geometri. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan kajian pustaka dengan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR) yang melibatkan proses identifikasi, seleksi, dan evaluasi literatur secara sistematis. Pencarian literatur dilakukan melalui database akademik seperti Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, SpringerLink, dan Garuda dengan rentang publikasi 2020–2025. Dari 42 publikasi yang ditemukan pada tahap awal, sebanyak 10 artikel memenuhi kriteria inklusi, yakni penelitian yang membahas penggunaan AR dalam pembelajaran matematika atau geometri, mengukur kemampuan spasial, serta dipublikasikan dalam jurnal atau prosiding bereputasi dan tersedia dalam bentuk teks lengkap. Analisis dilakukan secara kualitatif deskriptif untuk mengidentifikasi pola temuan dan tema utama dari penelitian terdahulu. Hasil sintesis menunjukkan bahwa AR berkontribusi signifikan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan visualisasi spasial, rotasi mental, dan representasi geometri siswa melalui visualisasi interaktif tiga dimensi dan pengalaman belajar imersif. Selain itu, keberhasilan implementasi AR dipengaruhi oleh desain pedagogis berbasis konstruktivisme, kompetensi teknologi guru, serta kesiapan infrastruktur. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa AR merupakan media pembelajaran transformatif yang mampu memperkuat pembelajaran geometri secara lebih kontekstual dan bermakna. Temuan ini memberikan dasar teoretis dan praktis bagi pengembangan inovasi pembelajaran digital yang adaptif dan berkelanjutan di era teknologi pendidikan modern
