Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of Project Based Learning models to increase the creativity and self reliance of students on the skills of writing poetry. The research is a Pre-Experimental One Group (pretest-posttest) design. These samples included 48 students without cotrol class. Pretest is given at the beginning of the learning before the implementation of the Project Based Learning model and posttest in the end of the learning process. The results showed a significant increase in the implementation of Project Based Learning to creativity and self reliance on the skills of writing poetry. Based on N-Gain test shows the students’ creativity increase of 0.45 (medium). The values indicator of creativity divided ito three points are fleuncy, flexibelity, and originality.  Students’ self reliance on the skills of writing poetry after implementation of Project Based Learning models contained in the high category. For the score of students on poutry writing skill is shows a good increased. The values indicator on poutry writing skill divided into five poits are preparation of stanza, rhyme, diction, the use of punctuation, and content. The response of learners very well to learning, for the further study with the model Project Based Learning can be recommended for implementation in schools.

Abstract

Various problems in learning to write poetry are factors that trigger the low ability to write poetry for fifth grade students of SD Negeri in Kedungjati District. Problems experienced by students in learning to write poetry include teacher explanations that tend to be boring, motivation, difficult to express ideas, and the most problematic problems for students are learning models that tend to be monotonous. Effective learning models become one of the important factors for teachers or students in improving students' ability to write the poem. One learning model that can improve students' writing skills is Student Team Achievement Divisions (STAD) learning model, because the STAD model can collaborate several language skills, and requires students to work together in groups. The purpose of this research was to determine the effectiveness of learning to write poetry with the STAD model. This research uses a quasi-experimental method. The subject of this research was the fifth grade students of elementary school in Kedungjati Subdistrict 2017/2018 Academic Year. Data collection uses tests and non-tests. Data analysis techniques using t test with the help of SPSS program. The results of learning to write poetry between before and after being given learning to write poetry with the STAD model with the acquisition of t count = 7.848 with sig < 0.05. The results of this research indicate that learning to write poetry with the STAD model can effectively improve students' poetry writing skills.

Abstract

Aktor adalah unsuryang memegang peran penting dalam teater modern. Perbedaan utama antara aktor dalam teater modem dan dalam teater tradisional terletak pada pertanggungjawabannya atas naskah atau teks yang menjadi sumber pementasan. Dalam teater tradisional, pertanggungjawaban aktor terhadap naskah tidak begitu ketat –bahkan  boleh dikatakan sangat longgar, sementara dalam teater modern sangat ketat. Hal ini disebabkan oleh adanya tuntutan yang berat bagi seorang  aktor teater modern, yaitu kemampuan menempatkan dirinya pada tokoh yang diperaninya dan kemampuan mengomunikasikan apa yang  dipahaminya itu melalui permainannya di panggung. Melihat kondisi seperti ini, seorang aktor memang harus rajin berlatih (pernafasan, vokal, ekspresi,  gesture, dan interpretasi naskah) dan senantiasa mengikuti perkembangan  teater. Pelajaran Richard Boleslavsky dengan demikian juga menjadi  penting, sehingga seorang aktor mampu bermain dan tahapan yang paling  rendah sampai pada akhirnya dapat bermain secara sempurna. Ukuran keberhasilan permainan seorang aktor dapat dilihat dengan kriteria lima  tingkatan, yaitu tahap memerankan, tahap sebagai, tahap menjadi, tahap  adalah, dan tahap sempurna. Abstract

Writing a short story by learners needs to consider formative elements. Therefore, it needs appropriate and suitable learning model for their learning styles. This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of writing short story learning with a quantum model based on learning styles of eleventh graders of senior high school. This pseudo-experimental research used written short story writing test, learning style test, attitude observation, photographs, and interview as techniques of collecting data. Normality test is done by using the Kolmogorov Smirnov test. Homogeneity test of the data used Levense. Hypothesis test used paired sample t-test. All of them were done by using SPSS 20 program. It is concluded that the implementation of the model is effective in learning short story writing based on the learning styles of the students. The learning by using the model is more effective for kinesthetic learning style than visual and auditory learning styles. This research is expected to contribute to developing educational field research and to enrich the knowledge of short story writing in an educational institution.

Abstract

Short story writing skill is needed by students to produce a short story based on their creative imagination. Suitable learning is done by using a creative, productive model based on students? verbal creativities. This research aims to find out the effectiveness of short story writing skill by using a creative-productive model based on eleventh graders of VHS verbal creativities. This quasi-experimental research used the instrument of collecting data such as a test of short story writing, verbal creativity test, behavioral observation, photographs, and interview. Normality tests used Kolmogorov-Smirnov. Homogeneity test used Levense test. Hypothesis test used paired sample t-test. Final data analysis used a t-test to find out the comparison of the learning effectiveness based on verbal creativities. The findings showed an average score of high verbal creativity students was 87.40, moderate 81.05, and the lowest average of 76.6. It proved the learning was effective to be implemented for high verbal creativity students. This research contributes to enrich research development dealing with the educational field and to enrich knowledge in learning writing short story at schools.

Abstract

The Tetralogy of Buru Island by Pramoedya Ananta Toer discusses various forms of psychological violence. However, various studies that the authors found have not addressed this issue. Whereas, women?s psychological violence is very important in developing literacy research that contributes to the resolution of women's problems. The purpose of this study was to analyze psychological violence in women in the Buru Island Tetralogy by Pramoedya Ananta Toer, along with psychiatric symptoms. This research uses a feminist approach to psychoanalysis. The research data are in the form of a Tetralogy of Buru Island by Pramoedya Ananta Toer. The source of research data is the Tetralogy of Buru Island by Pramoedya Ananta Toer. Data analysis was performed qualitatively with heuristic and hermeneutic reading techniques. From the results of the study found a form of psychological violence as follows: sexual violence in the form of sexual abuse experienced by Annelies, while sexual violence was experienced by Nyai Ontosoroh, Annelies, and Maiko characters; emotional abuse experienced by Nyai Ontosoroh and Paulette; economic violence experienced by Nyai Ontosoroh. Furthermore, psychiatric symptoms experienced are hysterical, traumatic, and depression.

Abstract

Poetry is a medium for poets to express or utter their notions and intended purposes to readers. This research objective is to analyze the form, meaning, function of figurative language and image as well as the relationship between figurative language and their correlations in poetry set Melihat Api Bekerja by M. Aan Mansyur. The data were poetry excerpts which had appropriateness to problem sings. The data were gained through literature study and hermeneutic reading. This review of the poetry set used stylistic review. The findings showed: first, there were 76 figurative languages consisting of 27 similes, 17 metaphors, 18 personifications, 3 metonymies, 3 synecdotes, and 8 idioms; second, there were 77 imageries consisting of 41 visual images, 8 audio images, 2 smelling images, 1 tasting image, 19 palpability images, and 6 movement images; third, there were 6 correlations of figurative and imagery language. A significant founding in this research is a poetry collection Melihat Api Bekerja by M.Aan Mansyur can increase reader interest in figurative language and imagery comprehension. the benefits of these research for the readers to get and understand figurative language and imagery in poetry collection Melihat Api Bekerja by M.Aan Mansyur.

Abstract

The research aims to analyze the effectiveness of the guided inquiry model with outdoor activities setting on the critical thinking ability and science process skills of students. This is quantitative research applying a quasi-experimental with nonequivalent control group design. The population of this study were all students of SDN Gajah 2 Demak. The subjects of this study were students of class IV A as the control group and class IV B as the experimental group. Students in the experimental group were taught using the guided inquiry model with outdoor activities setting, while the students in the control group were taught using the guided inquiry model. The instruments used to measure the success of this study were essay questions to measure students' critical thinking skills and observation sheets to measure science process skills in the psychomotor domain. The results show that the use of guided inquiry models with outdoor activities setting is effective in developing critical thinking skills and science process skills. There are differences in the average score of critical thinking skills in the experimental and the control group with a significance level of 5% with the N-gain of the experimental group is 0.35 and the control group is 0.04. Applying guided inquiry learning with outdoor activities setting is able to improve the psychomotor domain science process skills in the experimental group using the guided inquiry model with outdoor activities setting.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah 1) mendeskripsikan keefektifan model quantum teaching dengan media video animasi pada kelompok eksperimen dalam keterampilan menulis cerpen siswa kelas XI, 2) mendeskripsikan keefektifan model konvensional dengan media video animasi pada kelompok kontrol dalam keterampilan menulis cerpen siswa kelas XI. Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu desain Nonequivalent Control Group dengan metode eksperimen semu. Sampel penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas XI MIPA 4 dan siswa kelas XI MIPA 5 di SMA Negeri 5 Purwokerto. Data yang digunakan dalam peneliian ini yaitu pretest dan posttest masing-masing kelas. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa 1) model quantum teaching dengan media video animasi efektif digunakan dalam keterampilan menulis cerpen dengan sig. 0,000 &lt;0,05, 2) model konvensional dengan media video animasi efektif digunakan dalam keterampilan menulis cerpen dengan sig. 0,097 &gt;0,05. Media video animasi lebih efektif digunakan apabila bersamaan dengan model quantum teaching karena menunjukkan signifikansi 0,000 &lt; 0,05 yang berarti Ha diterima, Ho ditolak terdapat perbedaan. Kata kunci: keterampilan menulis, teks cerpen, model quantum teaching, media video animasi. &nbsp; ABSTRACT This study is aimed to 1) describe the effectiveness of quantum teaching model by using animation video as media to experiment group in the writing skill of creating short story for students grade XI, 2) to describe the effectiveness of conventional model by using animation video to control group in the writing skill of creating short story for students grade XI. The present study was categorized as quasi-experiment with Nonequivalent Control Group. The sample of the study was the students of grade XI MIPA 4 and students of grade XI MIPA 5 in SMA Negeri 5 Purwokerto. The data employed in the study was the score of pre-test and post-test of each class. The result showed that 1) Quantum teaching model by using animation video was effective to be used on writing short story &nbsp;by sig. 0.000 &lt;0.05, 2) Conventional teaching model by using animation video was effective on writing short story by sig. 0.097 &gt;0.05, 2. Animation video as media is more effective when it is used along with quantum teaching model for it shows the significance of 0.000 &lt; 0.05 which means that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. Abstract

Penelitian ini dilandaskan pada rendahnya keterampilan menulis cerita imajinasi pada peserta didik. Rendahnya keterampilan menulis cerita imajinasi tersebut disebabkan karena ketidaktepatan penggunaan model pembelajaran yang digunakan oleh pendidik membuat peserta didik kesulitan dalam mengembangkan ide, imajinasi dan daya kreativitasnya dalam menulis teks cerita imajinasi. Berdasarkan hal tersebut solusi yang dapat diterapkan yaitu penggunaan model copy the master berbantuan media film animasi sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks cerita imajinasi bagi peserta didik. Solusi tersebut membuat daya imajinasi dan kreativitas peserta didik dapat tumbuh secara optimal, degan begitu peserta didik tidak lagi mengalami kebingungan untuk menulis teks cerita imajinasi. Hasil penelitian membuktikan adanya peningkatan keterampilan menulis teks cerita imajinasi bagi peserta didik. Penelitian menggunakan jenis penelitian tindakan kelas dengan berbasis pada pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Data penelitian diambil dari observasi, angket, hasil tes dan catatan lapangan. Hasil menulis cerita imajinasi pada kegiatan prasiklus nilai rata-ratanya sebesar 24.6 dengan 0% ketuntasan. Kemudian pada siklus I, nilai rata-rata meningkat tajam menjadi 86.88 dengan ketuntasan 100% dan pada siklus II, nilai rata-rata semakin meningkat menjadi 90.1 dengan ketuntasan 100%. Pada siklus I dan siklus II, peserta didik mendapatkan perolehan nilai jauh lebih baik dari kegiatan prasiklus dan pada siklus I serta siklus II, 100% peserta didik tuntas KKM.
