Abstract

Folklore is a story born from fictional ideas and true stories. Folklore of each region generally tells about the past from one generation to the next. The folklore of Jaka Poleng and the Arts of Burok is a form of folklore from the Brebes area which is told in the form of true stories and passed down from generation to generation through oral and written traditions. Every folklore must have symbols and meanings that describe certain social characteristics. This study aims to examine the symbolic meaning and function of the Jaka Poleng folklore and Burok Arts for the people of Brebes Regency. This research uses Paul Ricoeur's hermeneutical point of view and William R. Bascom's theory of functions. The study of symbolic meaning from a hermeneutic point of view is a textual interpretation of the meaning of the readings contained in the stories of Jaka Poleng and Seni Burok. The implementation of the symbolic meaning contained in the story is divided into three meanings, namely; respect, resistance, and religion. The functions of the two folklores are a) fantasy function, b) as a means of validation, c) as a means of education, d) as a means of social control of society, and e) as cultural validation.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah memaparkan proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran keterampilan menulis teks cerita imajinasi bermuatan kearifan lokal menggunakan model scaffolded writing berbantuan media gambar berkata kunci, memaparkan peningkatan keterampilan menulis teks cerita imajinasi bermuatan kearifan lokal menggunakan model scaffolded writing berbantuan media gambar berkata kunci, serta memaparkan perubahan sikap sosial peserta didik kelas VII G SMP Al Hikmah 2 Benda setelah mengikuti pembelajaran keterampilan menulis teks cerita imajinasi bermuatan kearifan lokal menggunakan model scaffolded writing berbantuan media gambar berkata kunci. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart yang terbagi menjadi dua siklus, yaitu siklus I dan siklus II, dengan rincian pelaksanaan tiap siklus yakni perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan adanya peningkatan belajar peserta didik sebesar 18% dari prasiklus sampai dengan siklus II. Dari prasiklus, rata-rata nilai 64,1, pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 71,5, dan siklus II meningkat menjadi 75,7. Persentase peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik dari prasiklus ke siklus I sebesar 94%, dan siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 30,3%. Selain itu, perubahan juga terjadi pada perilaku peserta didik ke arah yang lebih positif. Peserta didik lebih antusias, bersemangat, serta percaya diri. Kata Kunci : keterampilan menulis, tes cerita imajinasi, model scaffolded writing, media gambar berkata kunci, kearifan lokal ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to describe the process of implementing the learning process of writing imagination story text skills with local wisdom using the scaffolded writing model assisted by the said key drawing media, to describe the improvement in writing skills of imagination story text with local wisdom using the scaffolded writing model assisted by the said key image media, and to explain changes in attitudes. social students of class VII G SMP Al Hikmah 2 Benda after participating in learning the skills to write text stories of imagination with local wisdom using scaffolded writing models assisted by picture media said the keys. This type of research is a classroom action research with the model of Kemmis and Mc Taggart which is divided into two cycles, namely cycle I and cycle II, with details of the implementation of each cycle namely planning, implementing action, observing, and reflecting. The results showed an increase in student learning by 18% from pre-cycle to cycle II. From the pre-cycle, the average value was 64.1, in the first cycle it increased to 71.5, and the second cycle increased to 75.7. The percentage increase in the average evaluation of students from pre-cycle to cycle I was 11.5%, and cycle I to cycle II was 5.8%. In addition, changes also occur in the behavior of students in a more positive direction. Students are more enthusiastic, excited, and confident. Abstract

Penelitian tindakan (action research) ini dilakukan di Prodi PBSI dengan tiga siklus. Tahapan pada masing-masing siklus adalah (1) perencanaan, (2) pelaksanaan tindakan, (3) pengamatan, dan refleksi. Jenis datanya adalah data kuantitatif dan kualitatif serta perolehan data dilakukan dengan teknik observasi, wawancara mendalam, pembuatan jurnal catatan harian (dosen dan mahasiswa), dan tes pengukuran hasil belajar. Data dianalisis secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh hasil bahwa mahasiswa dapat mengapresiasi dengan sistematis dan baik sehingga dapat melatih pola berpikir kritis mahasiswa. Hasil pembelajaran pada siklus I diperoleh hasil rata-rata nilai 78, kemudian pada siklus II menjadi 80. Pada siklus III diperoleh rata-rata nilai 83, sehingga rata-rata kelas mengalami kenaikan yang awalnya 72 (B) menjadi 81 (AB). Perubahan perilaku yang dapat dilihat dari hasil penelitian ini adalah berpikir kritis, kreatif, cerdas dalam menyelesaikan masalah, sopan dalam bertindak dan bertutur kata, jujur, bertanggung jawab, dan percaya diri. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil penelitian tersebut dapat meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam mengapresiasi puisi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi gerakan literasi sekolah dalam mengembangkan literasi baca tulis pada siswa SD Muhammadiyah 1 Alternatif Kota Magelang mulai dari perencanaan program, pelaksanaan hingga evaluasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Teknik penentuan subjek yang digunakan dalam penelitan ini adalah purposive sampling dan teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Jenis triangulasi yang digunakan adalah triangulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian yang di dapat adalah, pelaksanaan program literasi baca tulis sudah sampai tahap pembelajaran bahkan kegiatan literasi membaca sudah terintegrasi di setiap pembelajaran dan tertuang dalam RPP. Pada pelaksanaan literasi tulis siswa siswi bahkan guru sudah sampai tahap menciptakan karya yang dibukukan bahkan sampai di sumbangkan ke Perpustakaan Kota Magelang. Evaluasi program menggunakan jenis evaluasi sumatif dan formatif.

Abstract

The novel Tambera by Utuy Tatang Sontani is a postcolonial novel. The story is set during the Dutch colonial period in the community of Banda Neira. This research utilizes a postcolonial approach and then dissects it using James Scoot's theory of resistance. The problem formulations studied are open and closed forms of resistance. Based on this research question, the aim of this research is to find forms of community resistance to the Dutch and the causes of community resistance to the Dutch in the novel Tambera by Utuy Tatang Sontani. In the novel Tambera by Utuy Tatang Sontani, there are 10 findings that caused resistance: (1) Wubani's opinion that the Dutch brought harm, (2) the kawista were angry, (3) the Maruko family became the topic of discussion for Imbata and his friends, (4) the kawista protested against construction of Fort, (5) kawista incited the residents who built the Fort, (6) nutmeg sale and purchase contract, (7) rejection of the nutmeg sale and purchase contract, (8) Tambera was annoyed with Imbata, (9) Wubani was suspicious of the presence of the Dutch army, (10) Gapipo's annoyance regarding nutmeg sales and purchase contracts and weapons searches. Benefits for an academic perspective, this research will produce a thesis on resistance as a theoretical contribution to the development of Indonesian language and literature education studies, especially regarding James C. Scoot's theory of resistance. Researchers hope that the results of this research will contribute to lecturers and teachers as teaching material in the development of literary science.

Abstract

Grit is one of the characteristics needed by the current generation. In developing grit in each individual, life experiences are needed. Life experiences can be constructed through reading and appreciating literary works. One literary work (novel) that illustrates grit is the novel Guru Aini by Andrea Hirata. Through the research method of literary psychology, this study aimed to describe the dimensions of grit which include consistency of interest and persistence of effort reflected through the main character in the Guru Aini novel by Andrea Hirata. The results of this study showed that the consistency of interest reflected in the main character in the Guru Aini novel was described through five characters which include 1) consistency towards the goal; 2) the ability not to switch to another goal; 3) the ability to focus on difficult things; 4) commit to the passion; 5) the ability not to be obsessed with other things. The main character's persistence was reflected through the characters; 1) ability to not give up easily; 2) hard work; 3) responsibility; 4) diligence; 5) ability to overcome failure. The fortitude and persistence of the main character in the Guru Aini novel were expected to be a representation to convey messages through literary works so the millennial generation grows as a generation that is able to hone the human touch to prioritize the heart as a form of emotional intelligence and building grit as a form of self-consistency effort toward the goal.

Abstract

The novel "Cantik itu Luka" represents colonial events with lasting impacts on Eastern societies. In response to colonization, Eastern nations endeavored to resist through acts of mimicry and hybridity. This research aims to analyze mimicry and hybridity as forms of resistance in Eka Kurniawan's novel "Cantik itu Luka." The study seeks to broaden societal awareness regarding postcolonial studies, particularly focusing on forms of resistance, especially mimicry and hybridity. The research employs a literary sociology approach with a qualitative research design. The primary data source is the text of "Cantik itu Luka" by Eka Kurniawan. Data in this study consist of excerpts from the novel suspected to contain forms of resistance in terms of mimicry and hybridity. Data collection utilizes heuristic techniques, while data analysis employs hermeneutic techniques. The findings of this research reveal the presence of resistance exhibited by characters Dewi Ayu and indigenous characters through mimicry as a form of opposition. Imitation is observed in terms of thought patterns, education, language, and lifestyle. Additionally, indigenous characters demonstrate another form of resistance through hybridity, manifested in behavior, living tools, mindset, lifestyle, and clothing styles—an effort to preserve identities eroded by colonization.

Abstract

This study focuses on promoting environmentally responsible behavior through humanistic education among fourth-grade students at SD Alam Tangerang. The research aims to analyze the effects of humanistic education on students' environmentally responsible behavior in their daily lives. A descriptive qualitative method was used, with data collection techniques including observations, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. Data validation was carried out using source triangulation through interviews with the school principal, fourth-grade teachers, and three fourth-grade students, as well as technique triangulation, which included observation, interviews, and document analysis. The data analysis followed Miles and Huberman's interactive approach, which involved data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The study's findings suggest that humanistic education should be implemented in elementary schools with a holistic and comprehensive approach. This education was essential for developing students' moral values, ethics, empathy, and environmental responsibility from an early age. Humanistic education places students at the center of the learning process, enabling them to develop critical thinking, creativity, and reflective skills. In practice, this approach should be integrated into the elementary schoolcurriculum through intramural activities, such as teaching mathematics, the Indonesian language, and other subjects related to environmental issues, as well as extracurricular activities like tree planting and environmental campaigns.

Abstract

Drama yang berjudul Para Pensiunan: 2049 karya Heru Kesawa Murti dipersiapkan sebagai naskah pementasan Teater Gandrik Yogyakarta. Pementasan tersebut telah diunggah ke dalam youtube. Langkah ini dapat dipandang sebagai upaya untuk menyampaikan kritik sosial yang terkandung dalam naskah drama tersebut. Kritik sosial yang terkandung dalam naskah drama tersebut salah satunya disampaikan dalam bentuk paradoks. Tulisan ini mencoba untuk melihat paradoks yang ada dalam naskah drama tersebut. Majas paradoks adalah turunan majas pertentangan yang membandingkan dua hal yang berbeda atau bertentangan dalam satu kalimat; tetapi kenyataannya mengandung kebenaran. Paradoks dalam drama Para Pensiunan: 2049 ditemukan dalam tema atau materi cerita, tokoh, dan Bahasa atau dialog. Paradoks dalam tema atau materi cerita ditemukan dalam banyaknya peristiwa yang merupakan kritik sosial yang merupakan tafsir tentang remuknya sistem sosial, politik, dan hukum di negeri ini lantaran adanya kelompok sosial dan politik kekuasaan yang sering mengintervensi proses kehidupan masyarakat. Paradoks dalam tokoh dijumpai dalam penggunaan nama tokoh yang diambilkan dari nama-nama Barat sebagai kritik sosial masyarakat kita yang selalu melebih-lebihkan sesuatu yang berbau “Barat”. Paradoks dalam Bahasa atau dialog terlihat dalam pencampuran kata-kata atau frasa-frasa Inggris dalam komunikasi berbahasa Indonesia yang sarat dengan idiom-idiom Jawa. Paradoks dalam drama ini berfungsi sebagai kritik sosial kepada pemerintah dan masyarakat secara umum. Dengan pen-youtube-an pementasan drama Para Pensiunan: 2049 karya Heru Kesawa Murti ini kritik sosial yang terkandung di dalamnya akan semakin menyebar dan sampai ke orang lebih banyak. Hal ini dikarenakan untuk menikmati youtube orang tidak terikat oleh tempat dan waktu.
