Abstract

Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a chronic disease that results in the progressive decline in renal function and irreversible. Patients with end stage CKD requiring hemodialysis therapy. CKD patients who undergo hemodialysis therapy largely experiencing symptoms of anxiety and changes in quality of life. The aim of this study was to determine the correlation between the anxiety level and the quality of life of patients with CKD during hemodialysis therapy at dr. Soebandi Regional Hospital Jember. Research using Cross Sectional Design with the total number of respondents as many as 30 people and was carried out in November 2015. The respondent's anxiety level was measured using a HARS questionnaire and assessment of quality of life using the WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire. The results revealed respondents with mild anxiety were 16,67% (10% with good quality of life and 6,67% with bad quality of life), respondents with moderate anxiety were 40% (10% with good quality of life and 30% with bad quality of life), and respondents with severe anxiety were 43,33% with bad quality of life. Spearman correlation test showed the significance (p) 0,00 with correlation coefficient (r) – 0,517. Thus, it can be concluded that there was a correlation between the level of anxiety and quality of life of CKD patients during hemodialysis therapy at dr.Soebandi Regional Hospital Jember.   Keywords: Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), hemodialysis, anxiety, quality of life.

Abstract

RSD Kalisat is one of the hospital that is very concern with the quality of health services. The reliability of service quality is often perceived as the most important dimension for the customer. Quality of service is very influential on patient satisfaction. If the health care provided is good, then the patient will be satisfied and the possibility to reuse services in health care-related agencies will increase. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between patient satisfaction index in the reliability of service quality with utility at RSD Kalisat. This study used cross sectional design with total sample of 84 respondents. The instrument used was RSD Kalisat profile and questionnaire to determine patient satisfaction index in the reliability of service quality and statement for utility. The results of statistical test by Spearman's Rho showed a significance value (p=0.021) and the correlation coefficient (r =0.252). Thus, it can be concluded that there was a significant correlation between patient satisfaction index in the reliability of service quality with utility at RSD Kalisat Jember with a weak correlation. Abstract

The increasing number of hospitals causes competition among hospitals to get patients so that each hospital must provide quality services to reach patient’s satisfaction. Patient’s satisfaction determines patients behavior in the future, include their interest in utility. The purpose of this study was to find out the relationship between patient satisfaction index on assurance of service quality and utility. This study used cross-sectional design with 50 respondents. Patient’s satisfaction index and utility were measured using ServQual questionnaire. The results of statistic test with Spearman's Rho correlation test showed that the significance (p) = 0,030 with correlation coefficients (r) = 0.308. So, it can be concluded that there was a weak relationship between patient’s satisfaction index about assurance of service quality and utility at Interna Medicine Polyclinic Kalisat Hospital Jember.
