Abstract

Abstract: The application of Pancasila values is very important in shaping the character, morals, and national identity of students. Qualitative research through a case study at SDN 1 Asem, Cirebon City, shows that teachers are not only conveyors of material, but also active character builders who facilitate the internalization of Pancasila values through interactive learning methods. Key Findings Questionnaire analysis reveals that the internalization of Pancasila values among students is in the strong category with an average percentage of 74-79%, namely the indicators of Belief in God (78%), humanity (79%), unity (79%), and democracy (74%). These findings indicate the role of teachers in creating a conducive school environment through contextual and participatory mediation. The use of strategies such as discussions, collaborative projects, and role modeling helps students implement Pancasila values in their daily lives. Continuous training for teachers and the integration of Pancasila values into all learning and social activities at school are recommended for effective character education.

Abstract

Abstract Classroom Action Research (CAR). Using the Kemmis Spiral and MC Taggart models, there are four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The goal was to foster curiosity through Problem-Based Learning (PBL) methods integrated with open-ended questions via a Google Form questionnaire. The study was conducted among 35 sixth-grade students at SDN Bima Cirebon.Students' mastery of Pancasila values averaged 87%, categorized as very strong. This indicates that most students understood the Pancasila material taught and related it to concrete situations in their daily lives. The dimension of mutual respect and upholding unity averaged 88%, reflecting students' habit of appreciating differences in perspective, background, and the diversity of their peers at school. This indicates that the principles of tolerance and the spirit of unity have been internalized and are visible in the patterns of social relations between school resident. The indicators of caring and mutual cooperation also reached an average of 88%, as evidenced by students willingness to help their peers, collaborate on group assignments .The average percentage of 90% with very strong criteria means that it shows that the majority of students in the school environment do not experience in the questionnaire for testing understanding of discipline and politeness.

Abstract

Abstract

This study was conducted to examine the effect of the Teams Games Tournament learning method, combined with the Living Values Education approach through clogs-walking activities, on the development of elementary school students’ motor skills, as well as to describe the process of instilling character values during the learning activities. The research method used was a combination of quantitative and qualitative approaches with an explanatory sequential design, in which numerical data collection was conducted first and then deepened through descriptive data. The quantitative phase employed a One-Group Pretest-Posttest design involving 19 third-grade students at SDN Mindi II in Majalengka Regency. Students’ motor skills were measured using the Test of Gross Motor Development, Second Edition (TGMD-2), while the qualitative instrument consisted of an observation sheet for Living Values Education, covering cooperation, tolerance, and responsibility. Quantitative data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics, the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, the paired-sample t-test, and the calculation of Cohen’s d effect size. The research data showed that the average Gross Motor Quotient score increased from 81.21 before the intervention to 89.26 after the learning program was implemented. The results of the paired-sample t-test showed a significance value of 0.001 (p < 0.05) with a Cohen’s d value of 1.469, which falls into the large effect category. The results of the qualitative observations also indicate gradual progress in the areas of cooperation, tolerance, and responsibility among students during the learning process. Therefore, the implementation of the TGT-LVE model through the bakiak game is effective in improving motor skills and supporting the overall character development of elementary school students.
