Abstract

This research aims to determine the impact of subtitled videos on students' Arabic listening skills. This research uses a quantitative approach and a one-group experimental method. The pre-test is given before the treatment, and the post-test is given after the treatment. The data collection process uses observation, documentation and tests. The research sample was 60 first-semester students in an Arabic listening class. This research was carried out from September to December 2023. The results showed PAlpha (0.05) = 3.0329 (0.05), or t-count t-table = -21.1671 2.0009 . This means that subtitled videos positively impact learning to listen to Arabic. Students' listening skills have also improved compared to before using video subtitles. Individually, students' scores also increased 100%, and the lowest score was in class B. The results of this research have implications for stakeholders' understanding of implementing education to provide learning resources and multimedia technology in Arabic language classes. The findings recommend that teachers consider designing videos as Arabic language learning resources that can illustrate the special needs of listening courses or other courses

Abstract

تهدف هذا البحث لتطوير الوسيلة التعليمية للغة العربية باستخدام عجلة دوارة (Spinning Wheel) لطلبة الصف الحادي عشر في المدرسة الثانوية المحمدية 11 جاكرتا. الطريقة المستخدمة في هذا البحث هي طريقة البحث التطوير باستخدام نموذج ADDIE (التحليل والتصميم والتطوير والتنفيذ والتقييم) .التي تكنو من خمس مراحل وهي: (1) تحليل احتياجات الطلبة الصف الحادي عشر في المدرسة الثانوية المحمدية 11 جاكرتا لوسيلة التعليمية باستخدام عجلة دوارة (Spinning Wheel)، (2) تصميم الوسيلة، (3) تطوير الوسيلة، (4) تنفيذ الوسيلة التعليمية عجلة دوارة (Spinning Wheel) ، (5) تقييم الوسيلة التعليمية عجلة دوارة (Spinning Wheel) .بناء على نتائج تحليل الاحتياجات 69 من طلبة في الصف الحادي عشر في المدرسة الثانوية المحمدية 11 جاكرتا، تعرف أن 67% من طلبة يجدون صعوبة في تعلم اللغة العربية و57% من طلبة يحتاجون على الوسيلة عجلة دوارة (Spinning Wheel) في تعلم اللغة العربية. نتائج هذا البحث تعرف أن الوسيلة التعليمية عجلة دوارة (Spinning Wheel) لائق جدا للاستخدام في تعلم اللغة العربية في المدرسة الثانوية المحمدية 11 جاكرتا. تعتمد على تقييم خبير المواد التعليمية بمتوسط درجات 100%، وخبير الوسيلة بمتوسط درجات 90% واستجابات الطلبة في الاستخدام الوسيلة عجلة دوارة (Spinning Wheel) في تعلم اللغة العربية.

Abstract

Abstract Meaningful learning is the key to teacher success in achieving learning goals. One of the efforts to achieve this is by applying varied learning methods. The results of the situation analysis conducted at the Attaqwa VIII Foundation in Karang Tengah, Bekasi found that only 24.1% of teachers in the past year attended teaching training, and most teachers still apply teacher-oriented learning. This is certainly a concern, that teachers need to get training to improve teaching professionalism, especially in the era of the development of new learning methods and changes in learning orientation. Problem posing cooperative learning training is expected to be a solution to increase teachers' teaching creativity. The problem posing method can be applied classically individually, in pairs and in groups. The problem posing method can help students have a deeper understanding to solve problems and encourage the creation of communication between students in terms of coming up with new ideas derived from each problem or material given. Approach partners personally and institutionally to obtain accurate data on learning conditions. Partner participation is carried out with training and mentoring programs. This service activity aims to: 1) increase teacher understanding applying fun and varied teaching principles; 2) increase teacher teaching skills in implementing cooperative learning with a problem posing approach, 3) establish cooperation and good relations between Jakarta State University and the Attaqwa VIII Karang Tengah Foundation, Bekasi. Abstrak Pembelajaran yang bermakna menjadi kunci kesuksesan guru mencapai tujuan pembelajaran. Salah satu upaya mencapainya yaitu dengan menerapkan metode pembelajaran yang variatif. Hasil analisis situasi yang dilakukan di Yayasan Attaqwa VIII Karang Tengah, Bekasi didapatkan bahwa hanya 24,1% guru yang dalam satu tahun terakhir mengikuti pelatihan pengajaran, dan sebagian besar guru masih menerapkan pembelajaran yang berorientasi pada guru. Hal ini tentunya menjadi perhatian, bahwa para guru perlu mendapatkan pelatihan untuk meningkatkan profesionalitas mengajar, terutama di era berkembangnya metode-metode belajar baru dan adanya perubahan orientasi belajar. Pelatihan pembelajaran kooperatif problem posing diharapkan dapat menjadi solusi untuk meningkatkan kreatifitas mengajar para guru. Metode problem posing dapat diterapkan secara klasikal individu, berpasangan dan secara berkelompok. Metode problem posing dapat membantu siswa memiliki pemahaman yang lebih dalam untuk menyelesaikan masalah dan mendorong terciptanya komunikasi antar siswa dalam hal memunculkan ide baru yang berasal dari setiap masalah atau materi yang diberikan. Pendekatan terhadap mitra dilakukan secara personal dan institusional guna mendapatkan data yang akurat mengenai kondisi pembelajaran. Partisipasi mitra dilaksanakan dengan program pelatihan dan pendampingan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) menambah pemahaman guru menerapkan prinsip-prinsip pengajaran yang menyenangkan dan variatif; 2) menambah keterampilan mengajar guru dalam menerapkan pembelajaran kooperatif dengan pendekatan problem posing, 3) menjalin kerjasama dan hubungan yang baik antara Universitas Negeri Jakarta dengan Yayasan Attaqwa VIII Karang Tengah, Bekasi.

Abstract

Abstract The Jigsaw method is one of the cooperative learning models that can improve collaboration skills. Based on the situation analysis results, it was found that 13.8% of teachers at At-Taqwa VIII Bekasi had not received teacher professionalism training for a long time, and only 24.1% had received training in the past year. So this training activity is essential to 1) Provide understanding and knowledge about the jigsaw method. 2) Provide training to teachers on the jigsaw method. The methods used in this training are workshops and mentoring. The target audience in this community service activity is teachers at the Attaqwa VIII at the Raudatul Athfal, Madrasah Ibtidayah, and Madrasah Tsanawiyah levels. A team of lecturers from the Jakarta State University Arabic Language Education Study Program conducted this training activity. Participants were asked to fill out an activity assessment questionnaire to evaluate this activity. Based on the results of the training participant questionnaire, it is known that 98% of participants stated that this activity increased their insight into the jigwas method, and they expressed satisfaction with this training activity. In addition, 86% of participants stated that this activity was very in line with expectations and very beneficial for them. Abstrak Metode Jigsaw merupakan salah satu model pembelajaran kooperatif yang dapat meningkatkan keterampilan kolaborasi. Permasalahan yang ditemukan bahwa berdasarkan hasil analisis situasi, diketahui bahwa 13,8% guru di Yayasan At-Taqwa VIII, Karang Tengah, Bekasi, sudah lama tidak mendapatkan pelatihan profesionalisme guru dan hanya 24,1% yang mendapatkan pelatihan dalam setahun terakhir. Maka kegiatan pelatihan ini penting dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk: 1)Memberikan pemahaman dan pengetahuan tentang metode jigsaw dalam pembelajaran; 2)Memberikan pelatihan kepada guru tentang metode jigsaw dalam pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini adalah workshop dan pendampingan. Khalayak sasaran dalam kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini adalah para guru di Yayasan Attaqwa VIII Karang Tengah, Bekasi, pada jenjang Raudatul Athfal, Madrasah Ibtidayah, dan Madrasah Tsanawiyah. Kegiatan pelatihan ini dilaksanakan oleh tim dosen Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa Arab, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Untuk evaluasi kegiatan ini, peserta diminta untuk mengisi angket penilaian kegiatan. Berdasarkan nilai rata-rata hasil angket peserta pelatihan, diketahui bahwa 98 % peserta menyatakan kegiatan ini menambah wawasan mereka mengenai metode jigwa dan mereka menyatakan sangat puas atas kegiatan pelatihan ini. Abstract

This study aims to compile a syllabus of the European Profiling Grid (EPG) based teaching competency development course to improve the teaching competence of students to become Arabic teachers with character and competitiveness. The method used in this study is a research and development approach by Richey and Klein’s model with the steps of planning, production, and evaluation. This study identified that some of the EPG aspects had been contained in several other subjects, such as Planning of Arabic Learning, Methodology of Arabic Learning, and Learning Media Arabic. However, there are still several aspects of the EPG that have not yet become a concern in several courses, such as intercultural competence. Thus, several aspects of the EPG such as intercultural competence, professional behavior, administration need to be integrated as a syllabus model for the EPG-based Arabic teaching competence development. The EPG-based teaching competency development syllabus needs to be accompanied by appropriate teaching materials and research instruments. Therefore, research on the development of the next model needs to be done so that the development of teaching competency syllabus based on the EPG can be applied in learning.

Abstract

This research aimed to provide solutions to Qiraah teachers, in order to train and develop students' thinking abilities through a post-solution position-based learning model. The development of the learning model is based on the Qiraah learning constraints and problems faced by lecturers and students, which are obtained from needs analysis. The post-solution posing model applies six phases in learning activities, namely establishing set, comprehension, social interaction, explain, feedback, and extended practice. This research used research and development method. Data are collected through questionnaire, interview, document, and test conducted in the Arabic Language Education Study Program involving 45 students. The effectiveness of the six phases of the post-solution posing model which has been tested on learning through Qiraah using the one-group pretest-posttest technique, produces a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000 (p < 0.05). This shows a significant increase in scores, so that the post-solution position learning model in the Qiraah course is considered effective for training the development of thinking skills in students.

Abstract

Abstract Improving teachers' professional competence is one of the crucial factors in supporting learning success. At the At-Taqwa VIII Foundation, Karang Tengah, Bekasi, the results of the situation analysis showed that 13.8% of teachers had not participated in professionalism training for a long time, and only 24.1% of teachers had received training in the past year. This community service activity aims to train teachers at the At-Taqwa VIII Foundation in applying "Kartu Shah" media as an interactive learning tool to improve their professional competence. The method used in this training is workshops and mentoring that involve theoretical presentations, discussions, and simulations of media use. The training was held on August 24, 2024, with 40 participants organized by a team of lecturers from the Arabic Language Education Study Program of Jakarta State University. The evaluation results showed that 82.8% of the participants were delighted with the activity, and 79.3% agreed that the learning media presented could increase teaching creativity. Thus, this training successfully improves teachers' understanding of the use of interactive media and contributes positively to their professional competence. Di Yayasan At-Taqwa VIII, Karang Tengah, Bekasi, hasil analisis situasi menunjukkan bahwa 13,8% guru belum mengikuti pelatihan profesionalisme dalam jangka waktu yang lama, dan hanya 24,1% guru yang menerima pelatihan dalam satu tahun terakhir. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan kepada guru-guru di Yayasan At-Taqwa VIII dalam penerapan media “Kartu Shah” sebagai alat bantu pembelajaran interaktif untuk meningkatkan kompetensi profesional mereka. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini adalah workshop dan pendampingan yang melibatkan pemaparan teori, diskusi, dan simulasi penggunaan media. Pelatihan dilaksanakan pada 24 Agustus 2024 dengan 40 peserta yang diselenggarakan oleh tim dosen Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa Arab, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa 82,8% peserta sangat puas dengan kegiatan tersebut, dan 79,3% setuju bahwa media pembelajaran yang dipaparkan dapat meningkatkan kreativitas mengajar. Dengan demikian, pelatihan ini berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman guru tentang penggunaan media interaktif dan memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap kompetensi profesional mereka. Abstract

Plagiarism is intellectual criminal behaviour that uses or takes other people's quotes without citing the source. It can be caused by the lack of insight into plagiarism and the limited understanding of techniques to avoid plagiarism in scientific publications, especially for Arabic language teachers in Banten. Based on this analysis, a community service activity was carried out such as training/workshops for PBA teachers who are members of the Banten Province Arabic MGMP. The training/workshop will improve understanding, provide training on techniques to avoid plagiarism in writing OJS-based scientific papers, improve the professional competence of Arabic language teachers, and enrich Arabic research and learning. The methods applied in this activity are lecture discussions, followed by simulations/demonstrations, and last mentoring in practising the correct way of quoting to avoid plagiarism. This activity is proven to increase knowledge and technical skills to avoid plagiarism in scientific writing, which can be seen in the use of the Mendeley application.Plagiarisme merupakan perilaku kriminal intelektual yang menggunakan atau mengambil kutipan orang lain tanpa menyebutkan sumbernya. Hal ini disebabkan oleh minimnya wawasan  mengenai plagiarisme dan terbatasnya pemahaman terhadap teknik menghindari plagiarisme dalam publikasi ilmiah, khususnya pada guru bahasa arab di Banten. Berdasarkan analisis tersebut, maka dilaksanakan sebuah kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat berupa pelatihan/workshop kepada guru PBA yang  tergabung di dalam MGMP bahasa Arab Provinsi Banten. Pelatihan/workshop akan meningkatkan pemahaman, memberikan pelatihan tentang teknik menghindari plagiarisme dalam penulisan karya ilmiah berbasis OJS, meningkatkan kompetensi profesi guru bahasa Arab, serta memperkaya penelitian dan pembelajaran bahasa Arab. Metode yang diterapkan dalam kegiatan ini atara lain, ceramah-diskusi, dilanjut dengan simulasi/demonstrasi, dan terakhir pendampingan dalam mempraktekan cara mengutip yang benar agar terhindar dari plagiarism. Kegiatan ini terbukti meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kemampuan teknik menghindari plagiarisme dalam penulisan ilmiah, yang dapat terlihat dalam penggunaan aplikasi Mendeley.

Abstract

Learning is a complex activity, the success of which is determined by various factors. Learning is not just conveying or explaining information, but activities between teachers and students that demand the creation of meaningful and pleasant situations for students.  In order to create such fun learning, teachers need to apply learning models that can attract students' interest so that students can immediately get meaning during the learning process. This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of the SAVI learning model on the Arabic language learning outcome of 7th grade students at SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Jakarta. The research approach is quantitative research and the research method applied is experimental research. The research hypothesis was tested using one sample t-test. Based on the results of the study indicate that  = 2.276  = 1.717 then  is accepted. With a comparison of the average pretest score and the average posttest, this shows that the SAVI learning model has an effect on improving Arabic learning outcome for 7th grade students at SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Jakarta.
