Abstract

Bandwidth management is necessary to ensure that the available bandwidth is allocated according to the needs of each connected user. One method that can stabilize the allocation of bandwidth is the Hierarchical Token Bucket (HTB) method. The purpose of this research is to regulate the amount of bandwidth to meet the internet usage requirements for each user without allowing any single user to dominate the bandwidth usage on the internet network. The research was conducted in five stages: problem analysis, data collection, design and implementation of HTB, HTB implementation, and analysis of the final results of the system using HTB. Problem analysis and data collection were obtained through direct observation. The design and implementation were carried out using the HTB method on MikroTik routers. The HTB method allows us to create queues in a more structured manner by performing hierarchical groupings. Testing results show that the HTB method can manage bandwidth usage for each user when using the internet simultaneously. The analysis of the application of the HTB method at PT. GSB indicates that each user receives bandwidth based on limit-at and priority.

Abstract

In the current digital era, the need for efficient and accurate systems is increasingly urgent, especially in supporting administrative data management in government agencies. One important aspect of administrative management is workforce attendance, which serves as a basis for performance evaluation. However, in the Office of the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) of Bengkulu Province, the attendance system for daily workers still faces significant challenges. Therefore, this study aims to design a web-based attendance system for daily workers in the Office of Satpol Pamong Praja of Bengkulu Province. The research method used is the waterfall system design method. The attendance system has been successfully developed and implemented with a simple, intuitive interface that meets user needs and operates well within the environment of the Office of the Civil Service Police Unit of Bengkulu Province. This system is capable of managing employee data, recording attendance, and generating structured and automated attendance reports.

Abstract

The tracer study is one of the essential activities carried out by universities to monitor the success of their graduates in the workforce as well as to serve as an evaluation tool for improving the quality of education. However, the alumni tracking process that is conducted manually often encounters various obstacles, such as difficulties in data searching, information duplication, and delays in reporting. Based on these problems, this study aims to develop an alumni tracking application for Universitas Dehasen Bengkulu by implementing the Brute Force algorithm as a method for searching alumni data based on specific keywords. The implementation results show that the system can display alumni search results quickly and accurately by providing information on the number of string comparisons, execution time, and match percentage. In addition, the application also provides features for alumni data management, alumni questionnaire input, and job information updates, which support the digital implementation of tracer study activities. Thus, the application of the Brute Force algorithm in this system has proven to be effective in assisting the alumni data search process and improving the efficiency and accuracy of graduate tracking at Universitas Dehasen Bengkulu.

Abstract

This initial registration will serve as important preliminary information, which becomes urgent when the student in question needs to fulfill certain requirements while the data at Universitas Dehasen Bengkulu does not match their previous identity. Thus, data discrepancies resulting from inconsistencies with previous identities may lead to distrust in the accuracy of existing data. This could negatively impact job searches due to formal data inconsistencies, raising suspicions of fraudulent data. Therefore, a system providing Student Data Change (PDM) services is needed as a means to correct student data. The system implementation uses PHP programming language with MySQL database, and the method employed in this study is Waterfall method. Waterfall method enables the analysis of system requirements to identify weaknesses in the old system, followed by the design of the new system and its subsequent development. The conclusion of this research indicates that the website-based student data change request information system has been successfully implemented and provides optimal services for both students and academic management.
