Abstract

This research aims to describe: (1) the relation of meaning used in the rubric “Ah Tenane” newspaper SOLOPOS Edition April 2017; and (2) the relevance of the rubric “Ah Tenane” newspaper SOLOPOS 2017 Edition in Indonesian Language learning in high school. This research used a qualitative description of the approach. This type of research is the analysis of the contents. Sampling techniques using a purposive sampling method. Data collection using the technique of the analysis of the documents and interviews with informants. The validity of the data using triangulation theory and triangulation of sources. Data analysis using interactive analysis. Results of the study include: (1) the relation of meaning used in the rubric "Ah ... Tenane "newspaper SOLOPOS Edition April 2017 is synonymous with the time factor, the factor of place or region, keformalan factors, social factors, activities factors, and shades of meaning. Ofarim with absolute factor, the relative factors of relational factors, factor, hierarkial. There is also which, homonimi, and hiponimi; (2) the rubric "Ah ... Tenane "newspaper SOLOPOS Edition April 2017 relevant if implemented in Indonesia language learning in high school. Based on informants, the rubric "Ah ... Tenane "newspaper SOLOPOS April 2017 Edition has the information and entertainment that can be read by students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe explanatory text learning based on the 2013 curriculum for class VIII students of SMP Negeri 8 Surakarta. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The results showed that the teacher had carried out three stages in learning, namely planning, implementing, and assessing learning. In the lesson plan, it is stated in the lesson plan (RPP) that is used by the teacher by following the RPP curriculum 2013 format. In implementing the learning process, it was found that some of the teacher's activities had fulfilled the concept of learning in the 2013 curriculum, namely apperception activities, core activities, and closing activities. In the assessment of learning to compile explanatory text, it appears that the teacher only assesses aspects of knowledge, namely students are given the task of compiling explanatory text individually.

Abstract

The research aims to describe (1) structure of novel 9 Summers 10 Autumns by Iwan Setyawan; (2) characteristic of main character personality on novel 9 Summers 10 Autumns by Iwan Setyawan; (3) the value of character education on novel 9 Summers 10 Autumns by Iwan Setyawan; and (4) the relevance of novel 9 Summers 10 Autumns by Iwan Setyawan as literature learning materials in SMA. This research is a qualitative studying using descriptive qualitative and document analysis. The data sources are document and informant. The technique sampling of this research using purposive sampling. Data validity test uses irangulation theory. Data analysis text use interactive method. The result shows (1) structure of novel 9 Summers 10 Autumns by Iwan Setyawan have a correlation; (2) Iwan as main character fill of mature personality criterias by Gordon Allport; (3) novel 9 Summers 10 Autumns have fiveteen types representation the value of character education; and (4) novel 9 Summers 10 Autumns fill criteria as a good literature learnings material.

Abstract

This study aims to describe: (1) characterization of the characters; (2) id from the inner conflicts of the characters; (3) ego from the inner conflicts of the characters; (4) super ego from the inner conflicts of the characters; (5) educational value; and (6)  the relevance of novels Di Tanah Lada as the study for literacy in high school.  The method used is descriptive qualitative.  The sources come from documents and informants.  The sampling technique uses purposive sampling.  Writer used document analysis and interview techniques to collect data.  Validation of the data is done by theory of triangulation and source triangulation. Analysis of the data used an interactive analysis technique.  The results of the study can be described as follows.  (1) The character of the characters in the novel Di Tanah Lada is varied, both in terms of character types and physiological, psychological and sociological dimensions;  (2) Id in the inner conflict experienced by the character includes the pleasure of labeling others, conforming wild thoughts in the head, ignoring parental advice, and indulging indulgence in pleasure;  (3) The ego in the inner conflicts experienced by the characters includes fulfilling curiosity and feeling guilty for the decision that's been taken;  (4) Superego in the inner conflicts experienced by the characters include, recognizing the risk of his decision, succumbing to the common good, helping people in trouble, accepting the risk of their actions;  (5) Educational values in drama scripts consist of religious, moral, social and cultural education values.  The value of education is being dominated by the value of social education;  (4) Novels Di Tanah Lada has been meet the standards for content, language, presentation, and graphic worthiness and can be pertained in literacy learning in class XI.

Abstract

The purposes of this research are to describe: (1) structure of novel Sirkus Pohon by Andre Hirata; (2) id, ego, and superego of the main character novel Sirkus Pohon; (3) the value of character education in the novel Sirkus Pohon; and (4) the relevance of novel Sirkus Pohon as material of learning literature in senior high school. This research was conducted by descriptive qualitative method and psychology of literature. The result show that: (1) every elements of novel have in relation to the elements of other to make a story that a solid; (2) each of the characters has the character of different so that make them have balance id, ego, and superego different also; (3) the value of education character contained in the novel covering honest, discipline, hard work, the responsibility, appreciate the achievements, creative, care social, caring environment, and friends; and (4) novel Sirkus Pohon relevant made learning materials if viewed from aspects of the contens, presenting, language, and graph.
