Abstract

Gangguan metabolik seperti hiperurisemia, hiperglikemia, dan hiperkolesterolemia masih menjadi masalah kesehatan yang dipengaruhi oleh faktor lingkungan, terutama pada masyarakat urban. Pola hidup sedentari, tingginya konsumsi makanan berkalori tinggi, serta paparan stres kronis berkontribusi terhadap meningkatnya prevalensi ketiga kondisi tersebut. Hiperurisemia, hiperglikemia, dan hiperkolesterolemia sering muncul bersamaan dan saling berinteraksi dalam memperburuk status metabolik, sehingga meningkatkan risiko penyakit kardiovaskular, sindrom metabolik, dan morbiditas terkait lainnya pada p opulasi perkotaan Penelitian ini bertujuan menggambarkan profil metabolik penduduk di sekitar Bandara Internasional Soekarno-Hatta, wilayah dengan potensi paparan polusi tinggi. Sebanyak 24 responden (12 laki-laki dan 12 perempuan) berusia 25–35 tahun yang tidak merokok dan sehat diperiksa kadar kolesterol, gula darah puasa, dan asam urat menggunakan metode enzimatik biosensor. Hasil menunjukkan laki-laki lebih banyak beraktivitas di luar ruangan (>6 jam), sedangkan perempuan dominan 3–6 jam. Tidak ada laki-laki yang rutin mengonsumsi vitamin, sedangkan 8% perempuan melakukannya. Kadar kolesterol tinggi ditemukan pada satu perempuan, dan kadar asam urat tinggi pada tiga laki-laki. Temuan ini mengindikasikan perbedaan paparan lingkungan dan perilaku kesehatan antarjenis kelamin yang berpotensi memengaruhi status metabolik penduduk sekitar bandara.. Abstract

Traditional markets contribute 14.48% of national waste generation. This study aims to formulate an inorganic waste management strategy for Kebayoran Lama Market Area 11, Jakarta. A mixed-methods approach was applied involving 150 respondents (75 traders and 75 consumers) and waste generation measurements over eight consecutive days (SNI 19-3964-1994) from 26 traders out of 698. The results showed that the average inorganic waste generation from the sample was 3.014 kg/day, which extrapolates to 80.91 kg/day for the entire market, dominated by plastic (70%). The reduction potential through mass balance analysis reached 79% (2.381 kg/day from the sample). Traders' understanding of national regulations (Law No. 18/2008) was very low (16%), while consumers demonstrated higher understanding (37.4%). The Mann-Whitney test indicated no significant difference in participation perception between the two groups (p = 0.3315). Multi-criteria evaluation using PROMETHEE established priority strategies: provision of segregated 3R waste bins (Φ+0.5300), revitalization of the waste bank (Φ+0.2500), and education programs (Φ+0.1400). The novelty lies in integrating mass balance, non-parametric statistics, and multi-criteria decision-making. These strategies have the potential to increase residue reduction by up to 90% and support circular economy development.

Abstract

Research on inorganic waste management strategies at Pasar Jaya Area 11, Kebayoran Lama, Jakarta, revealed that 79% of inorganic waste (dominated by cans, cardboard, and plastic) is recyclable. However, utilization is hindered by suboptimal waste banks and insufficient 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) segregated waste facilities. A questionnaire survey of 150 respondents (75 merchants and 75 consumers) exposed regulatory knowledge gaps: only 16.7% of merchants comprehended national waste regulations (Law No. 18/2008 and Government Regulation No. 81/2012), while consumer awareness of DKI Jakarta's anti-littering regional regulation remained low (33.3%). Although 3R concepts were widely understood (merchants 100%; consumers 97.3%), implementation was constrained by inadequate infrastructure. Through mass balance analysis and strategy formulation using PROMETHEE software, priority strategies were identified: (1) Single-use plastic reduction (φ = +0.72) as the optimal solution offering high environmental impact and low cost, and (2) Economic incentives (e.g., retribution fee discounts for active recycling merchants) (φ = +0.65). Revitalizing waste banks with professional teams and adequate facilities is projected to increase waste reduction by up to 90%. Implementing these strategies requires deploying segregated waste bins, conducting waste management training, and fostering stakeholder synergy to advance circular economy principles and achieve 2030 SDGs (Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production).
