Abstract

Cervical cancer is the second largest cancer in women with an estimated 445,000 new cases (84% of new cases in the world) and causes 87% of deaths in women in developing countries. This is due to the behavior of women who do not routinely detect cervical cancer, one of which is the IVA method. The coverage of IVA examinations in West Java province until 2016 was 205,421 people (3%). In Cirebon Regency from 2015-2016, 289 people were recorded who had been examined for early detection of cervical cancer, which means that the coverage of early detection examinations in Cirebon district was still below 1%. This research is a type of analytic observational research. The design used is cross sectional. The sample of this research is 40 respondents. The research instrument used was a questionnaire. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between the level of knowledge, attitudes, age characteristics and employment status with early detection of cervical cancer. There is no significant relationship between education and parity with early detection of cervical cancer. The conclusion from this study is that there is a significant relationship between the level of knowledge and characteristics of WUS with early detection behavior. It is hoped that midwives can carry out health promotion efforts to increase knowledge so that women of childbearing age carry out early detection of cervical cancer to prevent cervical cancer.

Abstract

Textbooks have an important role to promoting gender equality. Apart from being a source of learning that transmits knowledge, textbooks also form students' values, worldviews and gender roles. This research aims to find out whether the Civic Education textbooks used in the high school in this study have a gender equality perspective. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Collecting data in this research using interview techniques, documentation studies, and literature studies. The data analysis using triangulation. Respondents in this study were Civic Education teachers and class XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Kandanghaur and SMA Negeri 1 Sindang. The results of the study showed that the Civic Education textbooks paid little attention to gender equality which appeared on the cover which did not show equal gender representation; textbook materials and illustrations that have not paid attention to gender equality. Based on the results of this research, it is recommended to integrate gender equality into Civic Education textbooks both in terms of content and illustrations, so that the role of Civic Education as democratic education upholds human rights, including the right to be treated equally without discrimination on any basis, including on the basis of gender can be realized.

Abstract

Background: Based on data from the World Health Organization for 2021, it is stated that the number of maternal deaths in the world reaches 830 people every day caused by complications of pregnancy or childbirth and most maternal deaths occur in developing countries including Indonesia. AKI in Indonesia in 2021 will reach 830 people. At the UPTD Puskesmas Cibugel, it was recorded that the number of pregnant women with CED in 2022 was 47 out of 359 people with a percentage of 13.2%. Objective: to determine the factors associated with Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED) in Pregnant Women at the UPTD Health Center Cibugel, Sumedang Regency in 2023. Design: quantitative study using a cross-sectional survey approach. The study population was 32 pregnant women in the working area of the UPTD Puskesmas Cibugel in the period April - May 2023. The sample technique used total sampling. Results: there is a relationship between health conditions (nutrition status) and KEK in pregnant women. There is a relationship between age and CED in pregnant women and there is no relationship between parity and CED in pregnant women. Conclusion: factors associated with the incidence of CED include nutritional status and age. Meanwhile, parity has no relationship with the occurrence of KEK. It is recommended to increase cooperation in efforts to prevent and reduce KEK in pregnant women through cross-programs and cross-sectors.

Abstract

The development of white bread food products using mackerel tuna fish broth is a variation of innovation to produce a good nutritional value of animal protein. This research method uses experimental research methods. This research was conducted using a completely randomized design (CRD) to see differences in texture, aroma, taste, water content, and development of white bread added to mackerel tuna fish broth by 36%, 42%, and 48%. Each treatment has two repetitions, followed by physical tests (white bread development volume), hedonic tests (texture, taste, and aroma), and chemical tests (water content). The data obtained were analyzed statically using the ANOVA test, then continued with the DMRT (Duncan’s Multiple Range Test) test if there were differences. The results research showed significant differences in the organoleptic hedonic properties, chemical tests, and physical tests of white bread development.

Abstract

This activity is a form of dedication to one of the important aspects of the Tri Darma of Higher Education, namely community service. Apart from fulfilling responsibilities, this activity aims to make a meaningful contribution to the development and application of knowledge in society, with the main focus on SMPIT Darul Hasani students. To achieve this goal, a combination of effective learning methods is used, namely expository and inquiry. The expository method is applied through oral delivery of material, providing a strong knowledge base about entrepreneurship and digital marketing. Meanwhile, the inquiry method encourages students to think critically and analytically, dig deeper into the concept of entrepreneurship, and analyze various types of businesses and innovative ideas. As a concrete example, the success story of Nadia Istikomah's meatball business "Bakso Cah Nogiri" is presented, which provides the idea that entrepreneurship can be started with easily accessible creative resources and ideas. Through this approach, it is hoped that there will be an increase in SMPIT Darul Hasani students' understanding of entrepreneurship and digital marketing.

Abstract

Disciplinary behavior is one of the factors that determine success in carrying out the activities of an organization. This study aims to analyze the relationship between disciplinary behavior and characteristics of organizational activities in seven student activity units at STIE Indonesia Jakarta. Using descriptive qualitative method, data were collected through interviews and observations of core administrators and active members from Senat Mahasiswa, Hima Manajemen, Remaja Majelis Nurul I'tishom, Sakuntala, Bulutangkis, Seni Budaya, and Karate. The results showed that participation and attendance were influenced by the level of commitment and interest in routine activities, such as training. Internal factors, such as the role of the chairman and social support among members, as well as external factors, such as a busy lecture schedule, affect the discipline of members. Efforts to improve discipline are made through member self-awareness, consistent communication, and fair application of discipline rules. A firm and wise leader and a structured schedule of activities also play an important role in improving discipline. This research reveals that high discipline will support the achievement of organizational goals, strengthen relationships between members, and improve the quality of student activity unit work results.

Abstract

Nausea and vomiting in pregnant women in Indonesia reach 14.8%. Complaints of nausea and vomiting occur in 60-80% of primigravidas and 40-60% of multigravidas. The impact of excessive nausea and vomiting in pregnancy causes hyperemesis gravidarum which results in abortion, anemia, LBW, premature labor and IUGR. Acupressure of the P6 point can stimulate the nerves to reduce emesis gravidarum. Pressure on the P6 point sends signals to the brain, balances neurotransmitters, and suppresses the gag reflex naturally. The aim of this study was to determine the effectiveness of acupressure in reducing emesis gravidarum at the Arsy Medika Clinic. The method used in the research is an experimental study design with post-test only design with control group. Sampling was taken using purposive sampling. The results of the study using statistical tests with the Mann Whitney test obtained a P value of 0.001 (< 0.005), which means that there is effectiveness of acupressure at pericardium point 6 against emesis gravidarum in pregnant women at the Arsy Medika Clinic. Acupressure on pericardium point 6 affects the intensity of nausea and vomiting in pregnant women

Abstract

The Development of Non-Milk Based Formulated Drinks For Pregnant and Breastfeeding Women.Background: The pregnant and breastfeeding women need a greater nutrition intake compared to normal women. At second and third trimester of pregnancy, and during breastfeeding, a woman should have additional nutrient for approximately 300 Kcal energy and 17 grams protein per day. Recently, various formula drinks for pregnant and breastfeeding women are available in the market, however most of these formulas are expensive.Objectives: To develop non-milk based formula drinks for pregnant and breastfeeding women which contained adequate amount of additional macro and micro nutrients had good sensory quality and had long self life.Methods: Initially, 13 kinds of drinks were formulated. The drinks contained aproximately 300 Kcal energy and 17grams protein. They were analyzed for nutrient contain, microbiology and sensory quality in order to vote the best 5 formulas at the laboratory scale. The formulated drinks were packaged and sealed in 150 mL plastic cups. To know the self life of the drinks, storage was carry out in the room, incubator and refrigerator temperature during 12 months.Results: From sensory test, it was concluded that the best five drinks were kweni formula, chocholate formula, ginger formula, guava-orange formula and red bean formula. One cup of 150 ml formulated drink, had 140-150 Kcal energy and 8 grams protein. Therefore, to fulfill additional requirements for pregnant and breastfeeding women, the drinks should be consumed 2 cups a day.Conclusions: The formula drink developed could provide additional energy, protein, vitamin and mineral needed by pregnant and breast feeding women. There was no side effect reported by the panelist because of consuming the formula.Keywords: formulated drinks, pregnant women, breastfeeding women, acceptance.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Beef is one of the animal livestock that contain nutrient with a good bioavalibility. The objective of the study was to evaluate the nutrient content of frozen, cold, and fresh beef. The material of the study was cube roll, chuck dan blade. The location of beef sampling was done in three traditional markets and three supermarkets by 2016. The design of the study was cross-sectional study. The observed variables were market type, beef condition and beef section, while the dependent variable includes pH, proximat (water content, ash content, fat, and protein). The data were analyzed by t-test and ANOVA. The results showed that nutrient content did not differ between frozen, cold and fresh beef in both traditional markets and supermarkets, except the protein. Protein content in cold beef was higher than frozen beef (p <0.05). Beef had a water content of 63,39-74,66 %; ash content 2,91-4,19 % dry weight; protein 54,42-79,18 % dry weight; fat 9,57-37,32 % dry weight and had a pH of 5,23-5,64. Fresh, cold and frozen beef that came from traditional markets and supermarkets still had a good quality. Freezing beef that does not exceed a month could maintain the nutritional quality of beef. Keywords: freezing beef, fresh beef, frozen beef, nutrient content ABSTRAK Daging merupakan salah satu bahan pangan asal ternak yang mengandung zat-zat gizi dengan mutu yang sangat baik. Tujuan dari penelitian adalah untuk mengevaluasi kandungan zat gizi daging beku, dingin, dan segar. Desain penelitian adalah potong lintang. Lokasi sampling daging dilakukan di tiga pasar tradisional dan tiga pasar swalayan, pada tahun 2016. Variabel bebas terdiri dari jenis pasar, kondisi daging, bagian daging, sedangkan variabel terikat meliputi pH, proksimat (kadar air, kadar abu, lemak dan protein). Analisis data menggunakan uji T (t-test) dan analisis varians (ANOVA). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kandungan gizi tidak berbeda antara daging segar, dingin, dan beku baik di pasar tradisional maupun swalayan, kecuali kadar protein. Kandungan protein pada daging dingin lebih tinggi dibandingkan daging beku (p<0,05). Daging memiliki kandungan air 63,39-74,66 %; abu 2,91-4,19 % berat kering; protein 54,42-79,18 % berat kering; lemak 9,57-37,32 % berat kering dan memiliki kadar pH 5,23-5,64. Daging segar, dingin dan beku yang berasal dari pasar tradisional dan pasar swalayan masih memiliki kualitas yang baik. Pembekuan daging yang tidak melebihi satu bulan dapat mempertahankan kualitas gizi daging. Kata kunci: daging beku, daging dingin, daging segar, pembekuan daging, kadar protein

Abstract

Era digital menuntut keterampilan digital dan kewirausahaan bagi generasi muda. Pendidikan tradisional belum sepenuhnya mempersiapkan siswa untuk masa depan ini. Integrasi e-commerce disekolah dapat menjadi solusi untuk meningkatkan keterampilan digital dan kewirausahaan siswa. Artikel ini membahas manfaat tantangan, dan solusi integrasi e-commerce di sekolah. Manfaatnya meliputi peningkatan keterampilan digital, pengembangan jiwa kewirausahaan, dan peningkatan keterlibatan belajar. Tantangannya termasuk ketersediaan infrastruktur, pelatihan guru, dan keterampilan siswa. Solusi yang diusulkan adalah kerjasama antara sekolah, pemerintah, dan pihak swasta. Studi kasus dan contoh sukses ditampilkan untuk menunjukkan bukti nyata tentang manfaat integrasi e-commerce. Kesimpulannya, integrasi e-commerce di sekolah merupakan langkah yang penting sebagai persiapan masa depan bagi generasi muda. Artikel ini diakhiri dengan ajakan bertindak untuk mendorong kerjasama dan komitmen dalam mewujudkan pendidikan yang inovatif dan relevan di era digital.
