Abstract

The lack of self-directed learning of students shown by students is one problem associated with self-efficacy and the learning environment. The purpose of the research is to reveal the relationship between self-efficacy and the learning environment, and self-directed learning. This study uses the correlational method and data collected from a sample of 198 students, which were foundĀ using proportional random sampling techniques. Data were collected using a self efficacy scale (24 valid items = 0.851), a learning environment scale (32 valid items = 0.830), and a self-directed learning scale (64 valid items = 0.936). Data were then analyzed using multiple regression. The results showed the correlation coefficient r = 0.535 and p = 0.00 (p> 0.05), which showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between self-efficacy and the learning environment together with self-directed learning. So it can be explained that the higher the self-efficacy and learning environment, the higher the student's self-directed learning.

Abstract

There is still a phenomenon in the field where some teachers lack discipline in teaching, and their motivation fluctuates, thus lowering the quality of their performance. Teachers' work or organizational climate is also seen as less favourable, possibly due to a lack of effective communication and feelings of jealousy towards colleagues. Indeed, this will impact the teachers' emotional state, which in turn affects their performance. Leadership participation is needed in such conditions. This study is field research with a quantitative approach. The research subjects consisted of 30 teachers. The research findings conclude that: a) there is an influence of the principal's participative leadership style on the performance of middle school teachers, b) there is an influence of the work climate on the performance of middle school teachers, c) there is a combined influence of the principal's participative leadership style and the work climate on the performance of middle school teachers, and d) the simultaneous influence of the independent variables, the principal's participative leadership style, and the work climate, on the dependent variable, the performance of middle school teachers, accounts for approximately 90.1% and is influenced by other unmentioned variables. The implications of this research can serve as a guideline for school principals to implement a participative leadership style that supports teachers in developing their performance and creates a positive and conducive work climate to enhance teachers' performance in schools.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the problems that arise when implementing zoning as a method of student admission and find possible solutions. This study used the systematic literature review method with a qualitative approach. The data collection method used was documentation, namely examining documents in the form of books, literature, and scientific journals related to the topics written in this journal. Data was collected from reviewing the official website of eric.gov, Sinta, Scopus, and Garuda. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis techniques. The result of the study showed some of the main problems in implementing zoning-based admissions. These include the problem of establishing fair and equitable zoning boundaries, enrollment procedures that often need to be more transparent, the accumulation of students in good schools in the zone, and the need for more awareness and active participation from parents. Several solutions can be considered to address these issues. Such as increased investment in education infrastructure development by the government and the implementation of a strict monitoring system for the admission process based on zoning, and the government also needs to strengthen schools in vulnerable zone areas with various quality and facility improvement programs. This policy will help provide a more inclusive and high-quality education for all students by analyzing and addressing the issues that arise when implementing zoning-based admissions.
