ABSTRACTThis research aims to describe the influence model of discovery learning the skills of writing text exposition class VII SMP Negeri 10 Padang. The type of this research is quantitative research done using experimental design. The results of this research are three: (1) writing text skills exposition before using discovery learning model of class VII SMP Negeri 10 Padang are in qualifying Nearly Enough (HC) with an average value of 61,49, (2) writing text skills exposition after using discovery learning model of class VII SMP Negeri 10 Padang are in qualification More than Enough (HC) with an average value of 72,41, and (3) exposition writing text skills class VII SMP Negeri 10 Padang after using the model of discovery learning better than before using the model of discovery learning.Â Kata Kunci: pengaruh, model discovery, teks cerita fantasi

ABSTRACTÂ The purpose of this study is three. First, describe the writing skills of exposition text of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang before using discovery learning models assisted by audiovisual media. Second, describe the writing skills of exposition text of grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang after using discovery learning models assisted by audiovisual media. Third, describe the influence of discovery learning models assisted by audiovisual media on writing exposition text skills of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang. The sample in this study was class VIII.2 with 29 students. The results of this study are three, namely as follows. First, exposition text writing skills before using the discovery learning learning model assisted by audiovisual media of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang are in almost adequate qualifications with an average value of 53.45. Second, the skill of writing exposition text after using the discovery learning model assisted by audiovisual media of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang is in a qualification of more than enough with an average score of 70.11. Third, based on the t-test, the alternative hypothesis (H_1) is received at a significant level of 95% and the degree of freedom (dk) = n-1 because of tcount> t table, which is 4.79> 1.70. This means that there is a significant influence on the use of discovery learning models assisted by audiovisual media on the exposition writing skills of eighth grade students at SMP Negeri 25 Padang.Â Kata kunci: Pengaruh, Discovery Learning, Keterampilan Menulis Teks EksposisiÂ

ABSTRACTÂ This article was written to illustrate the effect of using the serial image media aided discovery learning model to writing skill of fable text of VII students of SMP Negeri 2 Padang. This research data is a score in the skills of writing fable texts before and after using the serial image media aided discovery learning model. This study has three results. First, the skills of writing fable texts before using the serial image media aided discovery learning model in the qualification Enough (C). Second, the skill of writing the text of the fable of the students of grade VII SMP Negeri 2 Padang after using the the serial image media aided discovery learning model is qualified More than Enough (LdC). ABSTRACTThe purpose of this research is to describe the type of language style based on sentence structure and based on whether or not the meaning and function of the language style contained in the anthology of the â€œCermin Waktuâ€ short story by Indonesian Language and Literature Education Students 2011 Faculty of Language and Art, State University of Padang. The method used is descriptive. The approach in this research is the stylistic. Based on the research conducted the type of language style based on sentence structure found 4 types of language style, namely climax, anticlimax, repetition, and antithesis. The type of language style is based on whether or not direct meaning is of two kinds, namely rhetoricalÂ and the style of figurative language. The rhetorical style of the language is found in 7 types of language styles, namely apostrophes, asindenton, polisindenton, euphemism, pleonasm, rhetorical questions, and hyperbole. The figurative language style is found in 4 types of language styles, namely equality, metaphor, personification, and cynicism and sarcasm. The language style function contained in the anthology of the â€œCermin Waktuâ€ short story is found in 5 types of language style function, namely concreting 25 speeches, asserting 88 utterances, beautifying 24 speeches, smoothing 2 speeches, and insinuating 4 speeches. This article was written to illustrate the effect of discovery learning models directly media-assisted objects and skills to write reports text of students of class VII SMP Negeri 11 Padang. Research data is the result of the score in the skill of writing the report text before and after using dicovery learning model assisted by direct object media. This study has three results. First, the skill of writing the report text of the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 11 Padang before using discovery learning model with the object media directly in the qualification Self (C) with the average value 62.21. Second, the skill of writing the report text of the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 11 Padang after using discovery learning model with the object media directly in the good qualification (B) with the average value 78,32. Third, based on the experiment concluded that there is a significant influence on the discovery learning model with the direct object of the students of class VII SMP Negeri 11 Padang because ttable<tcount (1,70<8,41).Â Kata kunci: pengaruh, discovery learning model, media objek langsung, menulis, teks laporan observasi

The purpose of this research are four, (1) describe the error text of the sentence in the exposition in terms of structure function syntax, (2) describe the error in the text of the sentence in terms of wastage the elements of a sentence, (3) describe the errors the sentence in the text of the exposition in terms of word choice, and (4) describe the error text of the sentence in the exposition in terms of spelling grade X SMA Adabiah Padang. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive method. Research data is the wrong phrase in the text of the exposition. Data collection was done through the study of documentation. Based on the findings of the research, the error text sentences in the exposition are in qualified students. Errors found there are four, (1) in terms of the structure of the function syntax in the form of a mandatory element of lack or absence of the item, (2) in terms of wastage elements of a sentence in the form of an overlap the use of predicate, konjungtor, the plural marker, and time, (3) in terms of the choice of words in the form of inaccuracy of the concept, the value of flavor, and the context of use, and (4) in terms of spelling in the form of inaccuracy of the wearing of capital letters, writing words, and punctuation.Kata kunci: kesalahan kalimat, teks eksposisi

ABSTRACTÂ This article was written to describe the effect of discovery learning method on the skill of writing short story text of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 4 Pariaman. The data of this research is score of test resultof writing short story without using discovery learning method and using discovery learning method seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Pariaman. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded the following three points. First, the skill of writing short story text of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 4 Pariaman without using discovery learning method is in qualification Enough (C). the skill of writing short story text of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 4 Pariaman using discovery learning method is in good qualification (B). Third, based on the results of t-test, the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted at level siginificance 95% and degrees of freedom (dk) = n1 + n2 - 2 for tcount> ttable (5.69> 1.67). In other words, the skill of writing short story text of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 4 Pariaman using discovery learning method better than without using discovery learning method.Â Kata kunci: pengaruh, metode discovery learning, menulis teks cerita pendek

Â ABSTRACTÂ This research was conducted to describe the structure and linguistic elements of the description text of class VII students of SMP Negeri 30 Padang. This type of research is qualitative with descriptive method. The data of this study are qualitative data in the form of structure and linguistic elements of the student's description text. The data are analyzed by steps, namely (1) the researcher identifies the general elements contained in the description text, (2) analyzes the essay based on the aspects studied, namely the structure and linguistic elements of the student's description text, (3) the results of the analysis the researcher examined by triangulation informants, (4) make conclusions. Based on the results of the study, two things are summarized as follows. First, in writing the description text the seventh grade students of Padang Public Middle School 30 have used both text structures. The two text structures are identification/general description and description of parts. This is evident from the 40 description texts that have been analyzed, there are 39 complete description texts using identification/general description and part descriptions. Second, in terms of language, the seventh grade students of Padang Public Middle School 30 still have errors. This is evident from the 422 sentences analyzed, there were 281 sentences and the EBI was incorrect.Â Â Kata kunci: Struktur Teks, Unsur Kebahasaan, Teks DeskripsiÂ

ABSTRACTThis article was written to illusstrate the effect of using technic mind mapping to writing skill of biography text of X students of SMA Negeri 3 Solok Selatan. This research data is a score in the skills of writing biography text before and after using technic mind mapping. This study has three results. First, the skills of writing biography texts before using technic mind mapping stay in the qualification Medium (SD). Second, the skill of writing the biography of the students of grade X SMA Negeri 3 Solok Selatan after using the technic mind mapping is qualified good (B). This article aims to describe the following two points. First, describe the types of characters in the text of fantasy stories of students of class VII SMP Negeri 1 Payakumbuh. Second, describe the technique of the presence of characters in the text of fantasy stories of students of class VII SMP Negeri 1 Payakumbuh.The type of research used is qualitative research using descriptive method. The instrument of this research is the researcher / writer himself assisted the theoretical books and tables of data analysis. This research data is a language tool in the form of written words taken from the data source. The data in the form of figures and techniques of the presence of characters contained in the text of fantasy stories of students of class VII SMP Negeri 1 Payakumbuh which amounted to 30 texts. The technique of data validation used is triangulation technique. The data analyzing steps are: (1) identifying the general picture of data as well as encoding text, (2) coding the data, (3) analyzing the characters and characterizations in the fantasy story text of the students of grade VII SMP Negeri 1 Payakumbuh by using formats based on theory used, (4) discussion of research data, (5) summarizes the results of research, and (6) reported the results of research in the form of thesis. Based on the research results can be concluded two things. First, the kind of characters that tend to be used by students of grade VII SMP Negeri 1 Payakumbuh in the fantasy story text that they write is a fictional character, additional characters, white figures, flat figures, and static figures. Second, the technique of presence of characters that tend to be used students of class VII SMP Negeri 1 Payakumbuh in the text of the fantasy story they write is analytical techniques, action techniques, and techniques of words.Â Kata kunci: Tokoh, Penokohan, Teks Cerita Fantasi
