Abstract

ABSTRACT The aim of this research was to describe the contribution of reading comprehension to the writing skill in the exposition text on the eight grade students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang. This research is a quantitative research with descriptive method. The sample in this study amounted to 40 students. The data is score of exposition text writing skill test result and reading comprehension test result. Based on data analysis and discussion, the following three things are obtained. First, the exposition text writing skill test result of the eight grade students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang is in good qualification (81,50). Second, the reading comprehension skill test result on the eight grade students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang is in good qualification (81,39). Third, the reading comprehension skill has 43,03% contribution to the writing skill of the exposition text on eight grade students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang and the rest (56,97%) influenced by other factors not examined in this research. Kata kunci: kontibusi, membaca pemahaman, menulis, teks eksposisi

Abstract

                                                     ABSTRACTThis research aim to know about usage of effective sentence at essay exposition of the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 15 Kerinci. The type of this research is qualitative research with descriptive method. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion, it was concluded the following three points. Firstly, the ineffectiveness of a sentence in terms of the choice of words. Secondly, the ineffectiveness of a sentence in terms of structure. Third, ineffectiveness sentence in terms of punctuation there are three aspects, namely (1) the use of capital letters, (2) writing words in the form of the writing of prepositions in improper, writing preposition to is not precise, and the writing of the word is not right, and (3) use hyphens. Kata kunci: ketidakefektifan, kalimat, karangan eksposisi

Abstract

ABSTRACT This is article of research is to description the effects of the using the inquiry learning strategy towards the skills of writing a paragraph argument of the ten grade students at SMA Adabiah 2 Padang. The type of this research is quantitative research done using experimental design. Based on the results of data analysis it was concluded the following three points. First, the skills of writing a paragraph argument of students of class X SMA Adabiah 2 Padang without using inquiry learning strategy is located on qualifications is more than enough (68,95). Second, the skills of writing a paragraph argument of students of class X SMA Adabiah 2 Padang using inquiry learning strategy is located on qualifications is good (80,95). Third, based on the result of uji-t, there is effects of inquiry learning strategy towards the skills of writing a paragraph argument of students of class X SMA Adabiah 2 Padang because taritmatic> t table (4,48> 167). Kata kunci: pengaruh, strategi pembelajaran inkuiri, dan paragraf argumentasi

Abstract

This study has three objectives as follows. (1) Describing the level of writing official letter to the grade of VIII SMP Negeri Padang 16 before using the model of problem based learning. (2)  Describing the level of writing official letter to the grade of VIII SMP Negeri Padang 16 after using the model of  problem based learning.  (3) Describing the influence of  problem based learning model to write official letter to grade VIII SMP Negeri Padang 16 after using the model of  problem based learning. Abstract

ABSTRACT This research is aimed to describe the influence Think Talk Write technique the of argumentation essay writing skill of student class X SMA Negeri 8 Padang. The type of this research is quantitative research done using experimental design. The results of this research are three: (1) argumentation essay writing skills before using Think Talk Write technique of student class X SMA Negeri 8 Padang are in qualifying Enough (C) with an average value of 62,72, (2) argumentation essay writing skills after using Think Talk Write technique of student class X SMA Negeri 8 Padang are in qualification Good (B) with an average value of 77,96, and (3) argumentation essay writing skills of student class X SMA Negeri 8    Padang after using Think Talk Write technique better than before using Think Talk Write technique.      Kata Kunci: pengaruh, teknik think talk write, karangan argumentasi

Abstract

ABSTRACT This article was written to determine the effect of discovery learning model assisted by audiovisual media on the ability to write fable text by students of class VII SMPN 7 Padang. The data of this research is the score of writing ability of fable text. Data were collected by giving performance test of fable test writing ability on sample before and after applying discovery learning model assisted by audiovisual media. The ability to write fable text before and after applying a discovery learning model is aided by audiovisual media rather than to see the effect by using the t-test formula. The results showed that (1) the ability of writing fable text by grade VII students of SMPN 7 Padang before applying the discovery learning model aided by audiovisual media is on the Qualification More than Enough (Ldc) with the average value of 67,08, (2). the ability to classify fable by grade VII students of SMPN 7 Padang after applying discovery learning model assisted by audiovisual media with good qualification (B) with score average 76,53, and (3) based on t-test, alternative hypothesis accepted at significant level 95% and degrees of freedom due to thitung> ttable (2.80> 1.70). Kata kunci: Model discovery learning, media audiovisual, teks fabel

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study consists of three things. First, to describe the skills to read the report text of the observation results of class VII students at SMP Negeri 21 Padang. Second, to describe the writing skills of report observation texts of class VII students of SMP Negeri 21 Padang. Third, to describe the correlation between the skills to read the text of the observation report and the text writing skills of the observation results of the seventh grade students at SMP Negeri 21 Padang.This type of research is quantitative with descriptive method. The design of this study is correlational. The population of this study was seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 21 Padang who were enrolled in the 2018/2019 school year as many as 219 people and spread in seven classes. The sample of this study amounted to 42 people who were determined using proportional random sampling technique. The research data was obtained through two types of tests, namely objective tests and performance tests. Objective tests are used to collect data on the skills to read the text of the observation report while the performance test is used to collect data on the skills to write the text of the observation report. Kata kunci: Korelasi, Keterampilan Membaca, Teks Laporan Hasil Observasi

Abstract

ABSTRACT There are three objectives of this research. First, describing the comprehension of journalistic vocabulary  at students grade VIII SMP Negeri 22 Padang. Second, describing the  writing skill of  news text at student grade VIII SMP Negeri 22 Padang. Third, describing the contribution of journalistic vocabulary towards the skill in writing news text at students grade VIII SMP Negeri 22 Padang. This is a quantitative research with descriptive method and using correlational research design. Population and sample of this research are VIII th grade student of SMP Negeri 22 Padang consist of 223 students and 44 sample students. This research use Simple Random Sampling technique. This experiment consists of two variables: vocabulary as the independent variable (X) and the writing skills of news text as a dependent variable (Y). Based of result data analyze and explanation, were concluded 3 case. First, comprehension of journalistic vocabulary on students grade at VIII  SMP Negeri 22 Padang  was on good qualification (83,88). Second, writing skills of news text  at students grade VIII SMP  Negeri 22 Padang was on good qualification (81,91). Third,  comprehension  vocabulary on environment  areacontributed toward writing skills news text  at students grade VIII  SMP Negeri 22 Padang. ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is as follows. First, describe the interest in reading short story class IX students of SMP N 3 Batusangkar. Second, describe the skills to write a short story class IX students of SMP N 3 Batusangkar. Third, analyze the relationship between interest in reading short stories and short story writing skills class IX students of SMP N 3 Batusangkar. The research data in the form of a score of interest in reading short stories and short story writing skills scores class IX students of SMP N 3 Batusangkar.The results of this study are the following there is a positive and significant relationship between interest in reading short stories and short story writing skills class IX students of SMP N 3 Batusangkar at significant level of 95% and a degree of freedom (df) = n-1 because thitung> ttable ie 6,66> 1 70. Kata kunci: hubungan, minat baca cerita pendek, keterampilan menulis cerita                       pendek

Abstract

This research aims to describe the influence model of discovery learning the skills of writing text exposition class X SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Padang. The type of this research is quantitative research done using experimental design.
