Abstract

This study aims to analyze the response to shocks that occur between the variables Government Expenditure, Foreign Investment, Human Development Index, and Inclusive Economic Growth. This type of research is descriptive and inductive. The data used are panel data for 34 provinces in Indonesia from 2012-2020, data obtained from related agencies. The analysis method used is the Panel Vector Error Correction Model (PVECM). The results of this study show that: (1) The response to government expenditure in the education function due to the shock of inclusive economic growth is positive, (2) The response to government expenditure in the health function due to the shock of inclusive economic growth is positive (3) The response to government expenditure in the economic function due to the shock of inclusive economic growth is negative (4) The response of foreign investment due to the shock of inclusive economic growth is negative (5) The response of the human development index due to the presence of  Shock of Inclusive Economic Growth Is Positive.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganaisis bagaimana pengaruh nilai produksi, investasi dan jumlah unit usaha terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja pada industri kecil dan menengah di Kota Padang. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder yang bersumber dari Badan Pusat Statistik Kota Padang dengan variabel peneitian yang dikelompokkan menjadi dua bagian yaitu variabe terikat yang pada penelitian ini ditetapkan sebagai penyerapan tenaga kerja pada industri kecil dan menengah di Kota Padang dan variabel bebas yang terdiri dari nilai produksi, investasi dan jumlah unit usaha. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan analisis data panel. Hasil penemuan penelitian ini menemukan bahwa nilai produksi tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja pada industri kecil dan menengah di Kota Padang. Variabel investasi dan jumlah unit usaha berpengaruh signifikan dan positif terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja pada industri kecil dan menengah di Kota Padang. Secara simultan seluruh variabel bebas memiliki pengaruh terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja pada industri kecil dan menengah di Kota Padang.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of capital, labor, and resources on the technical efficiency production of SMEs in West Sumatra and to see whether the SMEs production in West Sumatra is technically efficient. The type of data used in this study is panel data for 19 regencies/cities in West Sumatra from 2015 to 2021 using the Stochastic Frontier Analysis (SFA) approach. This research examines production efficiency technically at SMEs in the West Sumatra region. The result of this study indicates that the production factors of capital and resources have a positive and significant effect on the production of SMEs in West Sumatra, while labor has a negative and insignificant effect on the production of SMEs in West Sumatra. The result of the technical efficiency calculation shows that the mean level of technical efficiency of the SMEs production in West Sumatra from 2015 to 2021 is 0.543 or 54.3 percent,  which means that production in SMEs is technically inefficient. This research implies that the government can compile regulations and road maps that can increase the productivity of SMEs in the West Sumatra region, and for SMEs to be able to engage more broadly with sustainable programs for production efficiency such as attending training and business guidance, using the rural business credit program from the government, as well as establishing cooperation partners for raw materials with other SMEs.

Abstract

Income inequality is an economic phenomenon that has an impact on economic instability and the welfare of society. Indonesia's income inequality has not significantly improved or changed much from previous years. This study aims to analyze the effect of financial literacy and financial inclusion on income inequality in Indonesia. The type of research used in this study is quantitative research. The data used is panel data of 34 provinces in Indonesia in 2016, 2019, and 2022. The analysis method used is Panel Data Regression using the Random Effect Model (REM) approach. The results show that (1) financial literacy does not affect income inequality in Indonesia; (2) financial inclusion does not affect income inequality in Indonesia; (3) poverty has a significant positive effect on income inequality in Indonesia; and (4) wages has a significant negative effect on income inequality in Indonesia. Suggestions in this study: Financial institutions should start expanding the target of introducing new and existing products to increase public understanding and confidence, especially among the lower middle class. In addition, government intervention must be carried out massively and aggressively so that a general understanding of finance increases.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh investasi, defisit anggaran dan keterbukaan ekonomi terhadap kecepatan perputaran uang di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan data time series dari tahun 1992-2021, dengan metode Ordinary Least Square (OLS). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa investasi dan defisit anggaran berpengaruh negatif tidak signifikan terhadap kecepatan perputaran uang di Indonesia. Namun keterbukaan ekonomi berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap kecepatan perputaran uang di Indonesia. Perlu ditambahkan untuk periode tahun penelitian agar dapat menghasilkan hasil yang baik. Peneliti selanjutnya diharapkan untuk menambahkan variabel independen lain seperti inflasi, nilai tukar dan suku bunga dalam mempengaruhi variabel dependen kecepatan perputaran uang.

Abstract

Investment is basically the initial stage of economic development. The influx of investment has a positive impact on regional development, so the government's role is needed to attract new investors. This research aims to analyze the distribution of investment patterns and the extent of the influence of per capita income, infrastructure, labor and crime on investment in West Sumatra Province. This research uses panel data obtained from various government institutions during the time period 2017 - 2021. The methods used in this research are theil entropy index and panel data regression. The research results show that the pattern of investment distribution initially tended to be spread out and changed to tend to be concentrated in the category of moderate inequality, crime has a negative and significant effect on investment, while per capita income, infrastructure and labor do not have a significant effect on investment.

Abstract

People with disabilities frequently encounter discrimination, particularly in gaining employment, despite having the same rights, roles, and responsibilities as the general population. This study examines the factors affecting employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities in West Sumatra in 2022, using data from SAKERNAS 2022. The analysis focuses on variables such as gender, age, marital status, education, and residential classification. The research utilizes logistic regression analysis to explore these factors. The results reveal that age has a positive influence on employment opportunities, whereas gender, marital status, education, and residential classification have significant negative effects on the employment prospects of individuals with disabilities in West Sumatra.

Abstract

The training program on Website Creation and Management for Sabana Kamek Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDesma) under LKD Kamang Magek, Kabupaten Agam, aims to enhance human resource capacity in managing businesses through digital technology. This training is designed to provide a basic understanding of the importance of information technology in supporting transparency, efficiency, and the marketing of BUMDesma's products and services to a broader audience. During the program, participants were introduced to fundamental concepts of website management, technical steps in website creation, and strategies for utilizing websites to support branding and digital marketing. The training employed a combination of theoretical and practical approaches, enabling participants not only to grasp the concepts but also to independently implement the acquired skills. The outcomes of the training indicate that participants successfully created and managed simple websites to support BUMDesma operations. The positive impact of this program is expected to expand the marketing reach of BUMDesma’s products, enhance business competitiveness, and strengthen information transparency for the community and stakeholders. As a follow-up, continuous assistance and advanced training will be necessary to ensure the sustainability of information technology utilization in BUMDesma management.

Abstract

Tujuan dari kegiatan penerapan PKM pada kelompok mitra usaha mikro produk makanancemilan berbahan baku ikan laut di Kenagarian UlakanKecamatan Ulakan Tapakis KabupatenPadang Pariaman adalah meningkatkan kemampuan Mitra dalam bidang : 1) variasi produk,2). kemasan produk, 3). merek produk, 4). izin produksi, 5) pembukuan usahadan 6)peningkatan pendapatan.Metode pendekatan yang ditawarkan untuk menyelesaikan persoalanmitra adalah melakukan pelatihan dan pendampingan. Pelatihan diikuti oleh 2 kelompok Mitrayaitu: Mitra 1 dengan anggota 5 orang, dan Kelompok Mitra II beranggotakan 5 Orang.Metode yang digunakan dalam pelatihan dalam bentuk demonstrasi, ceramah, diskusi,tanyajawab, dan pembimbingan.Hasil dari kegiatan menunjukkan peserta memperolehpengetahuan tentang pentingnya a) pengembangan produk, 2). kemasan produk, 3). merekproduk, 4). izin produksi, 5) pembukuan usaha dan 6) peningkatan pendapatan. Dari kegiatanini peserta telah dapat menerapkannya dalam kegiatan usaha sehari-hari. Dengan demikiancalon wirausaha baru ini nantinya diharapkan akan dapat mengembangkan usaha dan suksesmelalui pengembangan kegiatan kewirausahaan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the competitiveness of tourism sector employment in West Sumatra Province and to determine how much the ability of the tourism sector in creating employment opportunities due to national economic growth. The data used is secondary data sourced from BPS West Sumatra Province. The method used in the research is Shift-Share Analysis and Locatio Quotient (LQ) analysis. This study concludes that the tourism sector of West Sumatra Province is able to create employment opportunities due to the growth of employment opportunities in national, which is indicated by the large number of employment in the tourism sector. The growth of the tourism sector in West Sumatra Province will affect the total growth of the tourism sector in Indonesia. Which shows a positive value means that there is growth in the in the sector due to the influence of the growth of the reference region sector. The West Sumatra Province tourism sector has good growth by having a competitive advantage but not specialised. The development of West Sumatra province must be done by spurring the performance of the tourism sector so that it can grow rapidly and make a large contribution to GRDP growth and employment.
