Abstract

This study aims to describe the process of developing an E-book to improve poetry writing skills at FKIP Unja and changes in poetry writing skills before and after using the E-book to write poetry. E-book itself means electronic teaching material that contains complete material for writing poetry texts. This e-book was developed based on an analysis of student needs, and one of the requirements is that learning poetry requires complete material both in online form so that it can be accessed and read without being limited by place and time. This type of research is development. To develop products using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. Data acquisition is obtained through interval scale values and the N-Gain formula. For one-on-one trials, 5 students are required and 25 students are required for field tests. The research instruments used were interview sheets, questionnaires, and observation guides, as well as tests. Allitative data is in the form of a description of the process of developing an e-book for learning to write poetry based on 21st century learning. For quantitative data obtained based on the validation results of material experts and media experts. For material, an average value of 85.50 is obtained and for media it is 86.00 with a very valid category. The average result of practitioners is 89.00 with very valid. Products that were tested individually obtained an average value of 89.00 with a very valid category. The pretest obtained an average value of 57.00 and the posttest obtained an average value of 85.00. N-gain ability to write poetry is 0.65 medium category.

Abstract

Pragmatics is a branch of linguistics that examines the external meaning of an utterance that is interpreted by the listener. This study aimed to examine the Politeness Principles in the oral tradition of "jawab dilaman" of the Malay society in Kemingking Village, Jambi Province. Jawab dilaman is one of the oral tradition the Malay society when the groom came and want to sit beside the bride, this tradition uttered the seloko by the customary elder which consists of some proverbs, the proverbs contain some advice that interesting to analyze by using politeness principle.  This study used the descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques used recording and interview techniques. The results obtained were seventeen maxims, including two data maxims of wisdom, two data maxims of generosity, four data maxims of praise, one data maxim of humility, one data maxim of sympathy and one maxim of agreement data. Based on the final result, the maxim that appears the most is the maxim of agreement the consensus maxim wants every speaker and interlocutor to maximize agreement between them and minimize disagreement in speech acts.

Abstract

This study raised the issue of the shift in the Javanese language that occurred in the social realm of the people in Petajen Village, Bajubang District, Batang Hari Regency. This study aims to look at the process of language shift from generation to generation as well as the factors that influence the occurrence of this shift process.The method in this study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of research. The data in this research are in the form of fragments of conversation or spoken utterances from various events within the social realm of the Javanese ethical community in Petajen Village, Bajubang District, Batang Hari Regency. The data sources come from the first and second generations of Javanese ethnic families who live in Petajen Village. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, recording and note-taking techniques. The validation used is data trigulation technique.The results of this study obtained data in the form of fragments of oral conversations regarding how the language shift process in Petajen Village, Kec. Kab. Batangahari it happened. As an example of the data in the following quote "the matter of manngkene ki limangtahunan is around eight nine, iyo eight nine". The data quote indicates that the Javanese language of the Javanese ethnicity has been mixed with Indonesian and Jambi Malay. The findings of the conversation fragments enter three language shift processes, namely subordinate bilingual (B1-B2) the use of the first language is more dominant than the second language, equivalent bilingual (B1=B2) use of the first and second language equally well and subordinate bilingual (B2-B1) the use of the second language has predominated. The conclusions of this study indicate that there is a language shift in the second generation of Javanese ethnicity in Petajen Village, Bajubang District, Batang Hari Regency through a process of subordinate bilingual (B1-B2), equivalent bilingual (B1=B2) and subordinate bilingual processes (B2-B1). The factors that caused the shift in language were migration, school and education, and social factors. The study in this study shows that there has been a shift language Java to language Indonesia and language Melayu Jambi in the second generation of the Javanese Ethnic community in Petajen Village, Bajubang District, Batang Hari Regency.   Abstrak Penelitian ini mengangkat persoalan mengenai pergeseran bahasa jawa yang terjadi pada ranah sosial masyarakat di Desa Petajen, Kecamatan Bajubang, Kabupaten Batang Hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan melihat proses terjadinya pergeseran bahasa dari generasi ke generasi serta faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi terjadinya proses pergeseran tersebut. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekaran kualitatif dengan.jenis penelitian.deskriptif. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa penggalan percakapan.atau ujaran.lisan.dari berbagai.peristiwa didalam ranah sosial masyarakat etis jawa yang ada di Desa Petajen, Kecamatan Bajubang, Kabupaten Batang Hari. Sumber data berasal dari generasi pertama dan kedua pada keluarga etnis Jawa yang menetap di Desa Petajen. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, teknik rekam dan catat. Validasi yang digunakan adalah teknik trigulasi data. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh data berupa penggalan percakapan lisan mengenai bagaimana proses pergeseran bahasa di desa petajen, kec. Bajubang, kab. Batangahari itu terjadi. Sebagai contoh data pada kutipan berikut “soale mangkene ki limangtahunan lah sekitar tahun delapan sembilan, iyo lapan sembilan”. Kutipan data tersebut menandakan bahwa bahasa jawa pada etnis jawa sudah tercampur dengan bahasa indonesia dan melayu jambi. Penggalan percakapan hasil temuan masuk kedalam tiga proses pergesan bahasa yaitu bilingual bawahan (B1-B2) penggunaan bahasa pertama lebih mendominasi dari pada bahasa kedua, bilingual setara (B1=B2) penggunaan bahasa pertama dan kedua sama baiknya dan bilingual bawahan (B2-B1) penggunaan bahasa kedua sudah lebih mendominasi. Penelitian ini menunjukan terjadinya pergeseran bahasa pada generasi kedua etnis Jawa di Desa Petajen, Kecamatan Bajubang, Kabupaten Batang Hari melalui proses yaitu bilingual bawahan (B1-B2), bilingual setara (B1=B2) dan proses bilingual bawahan (B2-B1). Faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya pergeseran bahasa tersebut adalah faktor migrasi, faktor sekolah dan pendidikan serta faktor sosial. Kajian dalam penelitian ini menunjukan terjadinya pergeseran.bahasa.Jawa ke.bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa Melayu Jambi pada generasi kedua masyarakat Etnis Jawa di Desa Petajen, Kecamatan Bajubang, Kabupaten Batang hari.

Abstract

The teacher has an important role in learning activities, one of which is evaluating learning activities. The purpose of this research is to analyze the needs of teachers in developing teaching materials for writing fantasy stories. This study uses a development research model that refers to the Thiagaragan 4D model with limitations in the first stage or the definition stage and the moted used is a descriptive qualitative method. The source of the research data was a junior high school Indonesian teacher in Jambi. Data collection techniques by distributing online questionnaires, interviews, and online FGDs were then analyzed using qualitative data analysis techniques. Based on the results of the needs analysis research on fantasy story material in the independent curriculum, it is less attractive, so material development is needed so that it can form students' writing competence by prioritizing local wisdom. This research is expected to be an evaluation material for teachers to develop teaching materials that are contextual with the conditions of students. Abstract

Guru SMPN 11 Kota Jambi perlu mendapat pelatihan atau pembinaan dalam menulis E-book modul ajar. Modul ajar sekurang-kurangnya memuat tujuan pembelajaran, langkah-langkah pembelajaran, media pembelajaran, Instrumen penilaian atau asesmen, serta bentuk informasi lainnya yang dapat dimanfaatkan guru sewaktu mengajar. Guru diajak untuk melakukan analisis kondisi dan kebutuhan peserta didik dalam satuan pendidikan, guru diajak membuat identitas dan menentukan dimensi profil pelajar pancasila, guru diajak menentukan alur tujuan pembelajaran yang akan dikembangkan menjadi bahan ajar dan selanjutnya  guru diajak membuat E-book agar materi dapat dipahami dan dikuasai di manapun guru dan siswa berada. Tujuan dari pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan pelatihan kepada guru-guru SMPN 11 Kota Jambi untuk membuat E-Book modul ajar. Adapun tahapan yang dilaksanakan pada kegiatan pelatihan ini adalah tahap perencanaan dan tahap pelaksanaan. Dari kedua tahapan tersebut didapat hasil berupa E-book modul ajar karya guru-guru SMPN 11 Kota Jambi yang berjumlah 15 orang. E-book ini dapat digunakan sebagai perangkat pembelajaran oleh guru SMPN 11 Kota Jambi.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the style of comparative language contained in Putu Wijaya's 100 Monologues. This research is to reveal how the style of comparison is in the text. Manuscripts analyzed are only those with the theme of cruelty. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The approach used is an analytical approach. The data of this research is a comparative style of language and the data source is a text of 100 monologues. The research was conducted using data collection techniques, data analysis, and data verification. The results of the study show that there are (1) personification styles that summarize the subject being compared as if it is human in terms of actions, feelings, and other human traits. (2) the style of metaphor encapsulates the aspects put forward, namely the first point is directly connected to the second point. (3) the figurative language of parables has an aspect expressed by an explicit comparison, namely that direct similarity expresses a comparison of something like something else, namely like, like. So it can be concluded that the style of language found in Putu Wijaya's 100 Monologues tends to be personification which describes inanimate objects as if they were alive, then metaphor, namely the style of language that expresses analogical comparisons, and the style of language of equality, namely comparing something that is explicit. Based on the results of this study, it is suggested for other researchers to be able to conduct studies other than comparative language style for 100 Monologue manuscripts, because comparative language style is only one element of all parts of the story contained in the manuscript as the object of research. Therefore, it is possible to carry out several other studies to reveal the style of language conveyed in Putu Wijaya's 100 Monologues.   Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan gaya bahasa perbandingan yang terdapat dalam naskah 100 Monolog karya Putu Wijaya. Penelian ini untuk mengungkap bagaimana gaya bahasa perbandingan di dalam naskah tersebut. Naskah yang dianalisis hanya yang bertemakan kekejaman. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan analitis. Data penelitian ini adalah gaya bahasa perbandingan dan sumber datanya adalah naskah 100 monolog.  Penelitian dilakukan dengan teknik pengumpulan data, analisis data, dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat (1) gaya bahasa personifikasi merangkum pokok yang dibandingkan itu seolah-olah berwujud manusia baik dalam tindakan, perasaan, dan perwatakan manusia lainnya. (2) gaya bahasa metafora merangkum aspek yang dikemukakan ialah pokok pertama langsung dihubungkan dengan pokok kedua. (3) gaya bahasa perumpamaan memiliki aspek yang dikemukakan oleh perbandingan yang bersifat eksplisit ialah bahwa kesamaan langsung menyatakan perbandingan sesuatu yang sama dengan hal yang lain yaitu seperti, bagai. Jadi dapat disimpulkan gaya bahasa yang ditemukan dalam naskah 100 Monolog karya Putu Wijaya cenderung ke personifikasi yang menggambarkan benda mati seolah-olah hidup, kemudian metafora yaitu gaya bahasa yang mengungkapkan perbandiangan analogis, dan gaya bahasa persamaan yaitu membandingkan sesuatu yang bersifat eksplisit. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut disarankan bagi peneliti lain agar dapat melakukan kajian selain gaya bahasa perbandingan untuk naskah 100 Monolog, karena gaya bahasa perbandingan hanya salah satu unsur dari seluruh bagian cerita yang terdapat pada naskah sebagai objek dari penelitian. Oleh sebab itu, beberapa penelitian lain sangat memungkinkan diadakannya untuk mengungkapkan gaya bahasa yang disampaikan dalam naskah 100 Monolog karya Putu Wijaya.

Adapun tahapan yang dilaksanakan pada kegiatan pelatihan ini adalah tahap perencanaan dan tahap pelaksanaan. Dari kedua tahapan tersebut didapat hasil berupa E-book modul ajar karya guru-guru SMPN 11 Kota Jambi yang berjumlah 15 orang. E-book ini dapat digunakan sebagai perangkat pembelajaran oleh guru SMPN 11 Kota Jambi.

Abstract

The purpose of this development research is to develop online media in learning to write criticism and essays in universities. The results of observations on students' ability to write literary criticism are still low. Based on this, it is necessary to develop and design instructional media that complement the course of writing criticism and essays. The research and development that the author will do is using the ADDIE method with the KIK─IRMA model step. The results and conclusions of the study are: 1) based on expert validation, it is concluded that the media writing criticism and essays in terms of material, media and language is very valid, so that the media can be used. 2) based on the student assessment, the developed media is classified as practical, so that the media can be used, 3) After it is declared fit for the trial, the media is then tested using the KIK─IRMA model step on an individual scale and on a field scale. After the individual and field trials were completed, the level of effectiveness and practicality was obtained. Based on the results of the pretest and posttest cognitive, psychomotor, and affective aspects of this learning media are classified as effective and practical to use.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan prosedur pengembangan dan efektivitas media audio visual cerita fantasi Bola-Bola Waktu sebagai bahan ajar di SMP Negeri 11 Kota Jambi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah perancangan dan penelitian pengembangan & Development Research (D&D) model Richey dan Klein yang terdiri dari tahap planning (perencanaan), production (produksi), dan evaluation (evaluasi). Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan angket, kemudian analisis data secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa prosedur pengembangan mencapai skor 85,3% dari validator media dan 86% dari validator materi dengan kategori baik. Kesimpulan dari praktisi dan peserta didik juga menunjukkan tingkat kepuasan yang tinggi. Kemampuan menyimak peserta didik meningkat dari pretest (42%) menjadi posttest (82%) dengan nilai N-gain sebesar 0,7 dan uji T menunjukkan signifikansi 5,7. Oleh karena itu, media audio visual cerita fantasi Bola-Bola Waktu terbukti efektif sebagai bahan ajar di SMP.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the results of the application of the singing technique mnemonic method in improving memory in learning mathematics in grade III elementary school. This research was conducted at SD 80/I Muara Bulian in class IIIA students with a focus on learning mathematics. The type of research method used in this research is classroom action research (CAR) and uses the Kemmis and Mc Taggart models which include 4 stages including planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The implementation of this study uses the Mnemonic method of singing techniques which in implementation use songs. This research approach is descriptive qualitative in the form of observations at each meeting and quantitative obtained through test results in each cycle. The results showed that the application of the singing technique mnemonic learning method could improve students' memory in learning mathematics by 59% from the initial condition which only reached 23%. Then the end of cycle I obtained a success of 41% and at the end of cycle II it increased to 82%. In addition, by applying this method in class students became enthusiastic and motivated in learning.
