Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan prosedur pengembangan dan efektivitas media audio visual cerita fantasi Bola-Bola Waktu sebagai bahan ajar di SMP Negeri 11 Kota Jambi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah perancangan dan penelitian pengembangan & Development Research (D&D) model Richey dan Klein yang terdiri dari tahap planning (perencanaan), production (produksi), dan evaluation (evaluasi). Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan angket, kemudian analisis data secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa prosedur pengembangan mencapai skor 85,3% dari validator media dan 86% dari validator materi dengan kategori baik. Kesimpulan dari praktisi dan peserta didik juga menunjukkan tingkat kepuasan yang tinggi. Kemampuan menyimak peserta didik meningkat dari pretest (42%) menjadi posttest (82%) dengan nilai N-gain sebesar 0,7 dan uji T menunjukkan signifikansi 5,7. Oleh karena itu, media audio visual cerita fantasi Bola-Bola Waktu terbukti efektif sebagai bahan ajar di SMP.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the results of the application of the singing technique mnemonic method in improving memory in learning mathematics in grade III elementary school. This research was conducted at SD 80/I Muara Bulian in class IIIA students with a focus on learning mathematics. The type of research method used in this research is classroom action research (CAR) and uses the Kemmis and Mc Taggart models which include 4 stages including planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The implementation of this study uses the Mnemonic method of singing techniques which in implementation use songs. This research approach is descriptive qualitative in the form of observations at each meeting and quantitative obtained through test results in each cycle. The results showed that the application of the singing technique mnemonic learning method could improve students' memory in learning mathematics by 59% from the initial condition which only reached 23%. Then the end of cycle I obtained a success of 41% and at the end of cycle II it increased to 82%. In addition, by applying this method in class students became enthusiastic and motivated in learning.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the impact of project-based learning (PBL) and problem-based learning (PjBL) on students' self-confidence and short story writing ability in the Primary Teacher Education department at FKIP, Jambi University. The research included 161 second-semester students and employed a quasi-experimental design with nonequivalent pre-test and post-test control groups. Instruments used were pre-tests and post-tests, and data analysis included Normality Test, Homogeneity Test, and Hypothesis Test. The findings indicated that both PBL and PjBL positively influenced students' short story writing abilities. Additionally, self-confidence significantly impacted students' writing skills. An interaction effect was observed between the learning models and self-confidence in writing ability. The two-way ANOVA results of the post-test for the experimental groups (PBL and PjBL) and the control group showed a significance value of 0.014 (0.05), indicating a rejection of the null hypothesis and acceptance of the alternative hypothesis. Thus, the application of PBL and PjBL models significantly improved the short story writing abilities of FKIP students at Jambi University.

Abstract

Pemerintah Indonesia mengubah ujian nasional menjadi asesmen nasional pada tahun 2021. Ujian nasional tidak lagi menjadi sumber informasi yang digunakan untuk memetakan dan mengevaluasi kualitas sistem pendidikan. Menunjukkan upaya pemerintah untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di Indonesia dengan mengarahkan siswa ke asesmen kompetensi minimum, yang sekarang dapat diakses melalui alat pengajaran platform merdeka. AKM kelas dapat diakses oleh guru di mana pun. Sama halnya dengan AKM Nasional, AKM Kelas mengacu pada dua teks literasi: teks sastra dan teks informasi. AKM Kelas memiliki fungsi formatif untuk memahami hasil belajar individu siswa. Pada peneliti ini berkonsentrasi pada literasi teks sastra. Asesmen kemampuan literasi minimum terdiri dari tiga tingkat kognitif, yaitu menemukan informasi, memahami, dan evaluasi dan refleksi, dengan empat level kemampuan yaitu: perlu intervensi khusus, memiliki pemahaman dasar, termasuk cakap, dan sudah mahir. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas VIII SMP Satu Atap Talang Kerinci. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara tes tulis. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Milles dan Huberman. Hasil dari penelitian ini siswa yang mencapai level kognitif menemukan informasi dengan level kemampuan memiliki pemahaman dasar dengan persentase 50%, siswa yang mencapai level kognitif menemukan informasi dan memahami dengan level kemampuan termasuk cakap dengan persentase 33% dan siswa yang tidak mencapai level kognitif dengan level kemampuan perlu intervensi khusus dengan persentase 17% dan tidak ada siswa yang mencapai tiga level kognitif dengan level kemampuan sudah mahir.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan teknologi digital dalam pendidikan semakin berkembang, termasuk aplikasi Gemini yang berbasis kecerdasan buatan. Studi literatur ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis potensi Gemini sebagai media pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMA. Kajian difokuskan pada fitur-fitur aplikasi, manfaat, tantangan, dan penerapannya dalam pembelajaran. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa Gemini dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis, membaca, dan analisis teks dengan pendekatan mandiri dan interaktif. Aplikasi ini menawarkan berbagai fitur, seperti analisis teks otomatis, panduan menulis kreatif, dan simulasi evaluasi berbasis AI yang dapat disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan siswa. Dengan memanfaatkan fitur-fitur inovatif tersebut, Gemini berpotensi menjadi solusi pembelajaran modern di era digital. Namun, penerapannya tidak lepas dari tantangan, seperti kebutuhan infrastruktur teknologi yang memadai, pelatihan guru dalam menggunakan aplikasi, serta adaptasi siswa terhadap metode pembelajaran baru. Studi ini juga menekankan pentingnya integrasi Gemini dengan kurikulum pembelajaran yang ada agar manfaatnya lebih optimal. Secara keseluruhan, pemanfaatan Gemini mendukung pembelajaran berbasis teknologi yang relevan dengan tuntutan abad ke-21, khususnya dalam meningkatkan kompetensi literasi siswa.

Abstract

Role playing learning model or role playing is a learning method that involves students to play characters in everyday life. Learning using the role playing method can make students more active and creative in following lessons. The purpose of this study was to determine the application of the role playing learning model in increasing student learning motivation in PAI subjects at MAS Al Ikhlas. This research method uses a qualitative approach with content analysis. While the data collection is a literature review. The results of the study showed that the results of the initial observations conducted by the researcher showed that, as an initial step in implementing the role playing method, the researcher must know the previous method used by the teacher. The researcher conducted research in 2 classes, namely class X.1 as the Experimental class and class X.2 as the control class. The results of the observations conducted by the researcher were that class X.1 students had a low level of learning activity. where there are students who fall asleep during learning, there are students who are lazy during learning, there are students who are busy with their own affairs, and there are students who are busy chatting with their friends to the point of disrupting the learning conduciveness, The lowest student result before the treatment was 32, while the highest result was 43. After the treatment, students got the lowest score of 45 and the highest score of 57. The final result can be obtained that the experimental class using the role playing learning method got a higher average score of 80.25 than the control class using the lecture learning method, which was 72.15.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguraikan proses pengembangan, kepraktisan, dan keefektivan media pembelajaran video animasi materi teks laporan hasil observasi berbasis pembelajaran abad 21. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam jenis penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model ADDIE (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation). Data dalam penelitian ini dianalisis dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Data kualitatif berupa deskripsi proses pengembangan media pembelajaran. Data kuantitatif berupa hasil penilaian media pembelajaran yang berasal dari validator ahli media, ahli materi, respon praktisi dan respon siswa. Data kuantitatif diolah menggunakan skala likert dan rumus N-Gain. Subjek penelitian yaitu peserta didik berasal dari kelas VII di SMP Ahmad Dahlan Kota Jambi. Kepraktisan media pembelajaran dinilai berdasarkan 3 aspek, yaitu aspek kelayakan konten, kelayakan tampilan, dan aspek teknik kebahasaan dengan nilai rata-rata keseluruhan yaitu, 84,90 berkategori tinggi. Media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan ini tergolong efektif diukur berdasarkan selisih nilai N-Gain tes awal dan tes akhir peserta didik ditinjau dari aspek kognitif dan psikomotorik. Selisih tes awal dan tes akhir aspek kognitif sebesar 0,72 dengan kategori N-Gain tergolong tinggi. Pada aspek psikomotorik, selisih tes awal dan tes akhir sebesaar 0,76 dengan kategori N-Gain tinggi. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, media animasi yang dikembangkan dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran teks laporan hasil observasi di jenjang SMP.Kata kunci: Pengembangan, teks laporan hasil observasi, pembelajaran abad 21

Abstract

This study investigates the use of Canva media combined with the KIK-IRMA learning model in teaching play script writing to students in the Indonesian Literature Study Program at FKIP, Universitas Jambi. The objective was to determine the effectiveness of this integrated approach in enhancing students’ writing skills. A mixed-methods approach was employed, incorporating both qualitative and quantitative data. Qualitative data were collected through classroom observations, while quantitative data were gathered through pretests and posttests. The research instruments included observation sheets and test materials. Qualitative analysis was conducted descriptively and argumentatively, referencing relevant theories. Quantitative analysis was used to evaluate the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the learning model. The study found a significant improvement in students’ performance. The average pretest score was 57.72, increasing to 80.59 in the posttest. The normalized gain score (N-gain) indicated a moderate level of effectiveness. Prior to implementation, students struggled with play script writing. However, after applying Canva and the KIK-IRMA model, both the learning process and outcomes showed notable improvement. The findings demonstrate that combining Canva media with the KIK-IRMA model can address student difficulties in play script writing. This integrated approach fosters student engagement and supports learning goals effectively. The implementation of Canva media and the KIK-IRMA learning model in play script writing was systematic and yielded moderately effective results in the Indonesian Literature Study Program at FKIP Universitas Jambi.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Picture and Picture learning model assisted by Wordwall media in learning to write exposition texts for Phase E students of SMK Negeri 9 Muaro Jambi. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects were 30 students of class X TKR Phase E, while the Indonesian language teacher served as a supporting data source. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. The research instruments consisted of teacher and student observation sheets, teaching module observation sheets, teacher and student interview guidelines, exposition text assessment indicators and their detailed indicators covering aspects of content/topic suitability, structure, integration and clarity of flow, linguistic rules, and spelling and grammar. Data were analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that learning to write exposition texts with the Picture and Picture model assisted by Wordwall was carried out in two meetings and ran interactively. Visual media in the form of images helped students understand the process flow concretely, while Wordwall increased engagement and learning motivation. Based on the assessment results, the average writing ability score was 86 (very good category), with 18 students in the very good category, 9 students in the good category, and 3 students in the fair category. This finding is in line with several previous studies that demonstrated the effectiveness of the Picture and Picture and Wordwall models in writing learning. Overall, the Picture and Picture model assisted by Wordwall has proven effective in increasing student engagement and the quality of expository text writing.
