Abstract

Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) are a series of standardized written instructions regarding various processes for carrying out organizational activities, how and when they must be carried out, where and by whom they are carried out. Community health center officers must comply with applicable SOPs in providing services to the community in order to improve the highest level of public health. The research used a cross-sectional design at the UPTD Awa'ai Health Center, North Nias Regency with a sample size of 61 respondents. Data analysis uses the Chi Square test. The research results show that there is a relationship between workload and length of work with compliance with implementing service SOPs (P-Value <0.005)

Abstract

The availability of human resources (HR) in hospitals is a key factor in ensuring quality healthcare services. A type C general hospital in Medan faces challenges in terms of limited health personnel in several service units. The Workload Indicators of Staffing Need (WISN) method by WHO is applied to calculate staffing requirements based on actual workload. This study aimed to analyze the workload and HR needs of a type C general hospital in Medan using the WISN method. A quantitative descriptive study with a WISN approach. Data were obtained from hospital management reports including patient visits, bed occupancy rate (BOR), and staff distribution across main units. Analysis was carried out by calculating available working time, workload standards, allowance standards, and HR needs per unit. The analysis indicated shortages of personnel in several units: inpatient nurses (−20), anesthetists (−2), pharmacists (−1), laboratory analysts (−5), radiographers (−5), and medical records staff (−6). Some units had surplus staff, such as maternity (+8). The type C general hospital in Medan continues to face HR shortages in critical service units. Workload-based HR planning using the WISN method is crucial to support effective recruitment and staff redistribution.

Abstract

Material inventory is a crucial factor in the smooth running of construction projects. PT. Swakarya Putra has been facing challenges in managing its inventory, such as delays in stock information, recording errors, and unplanned purchases. The purpose of implementing the POQ method is to control material inventory to minimize inventory costs and ensure timely material availability. The POQ method contributes to determining the optimal order quantity and timing by considering ordering, storage costs, and project material requirements. The system is built on an Android platform so that it can be accessed in real time by relevant parties in the field. The implementation results show that the system is able to calculate material ordering schedules accurately, simplify stock monitoring, and reduce the risk of shortages or excess inventory. Thus, the implementation of the Android-based POQ method can improve the efficiency of controlling project material inventory at PT. Swakarya Putra. This method helps minimize the risk of stockouts and excess stock, as well as improve operational efficiency by ordering quantities at specific time intervals.
