Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of creativity among elementary school students in exploring timbre through environmental-based learning. Creativity in this context encompasses four main aspects: fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. The research employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental one-shot case study design, involving 20 second-grade students as participants. The instrument used was a timbre exploration task using objects from the surrounding environment, assessed through a creativity rubric. The results showed that 20% of students demonstrated a high level of creativity, 55% fell into the moderate category, and 25% were in the low category. In the aspect of fluency, more than half of the students showed adequate ability to generate sound variations. However, the aspects of flexibility, originality, and elaboration were still dominated by low to moderate scores, indicating that students had not yet fully developed their ideas in diverse, original, and detailed ways. Environmental-based learning has proven to provide a positive stimulus in fostering students' musical creativity, although further learning strategies are needed to optimize all aspects of creativity. This study recommends the use of contextual approaches and exploratory learning in music education at the elementary school level.

Abstract

who want to teach mathematics to students need to understand and know the material to be delivered. Understanding the meaning of mathematics itself is a fundamental key to achieving success in learning mathematics. Learning is a process carried out by individuals to obtain new behavioral changes as a whole as a result of experience in interacting with the environment. The need for a mathematics teaching module based on productive struggle through a problem-based learning approach. This learning is further developed, including Problem-Based Learning which has recently become famous in the world of education. Problem based learningcan provide skills in managing life for students to be able to overcome obstacles in their environment. The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the need for a mathematics teaching module based on productive struggle through a problem-based learning approach on flat shape material carried out on grade IV teachers in Kawalu District. The results of this study indicate that teachers are active in implementing Problem Based Learning, but there are still obstacles in learning mathematics. In learning flat shapes, the teacher stated that one of the main objectives in learning mathematics based on the Independent Curriculum is to help students understand and develop mathematical material that includes facts, concepts, principles, operations, and mathematical relations. The process elements in learning mathematics also emphasize the importance of implementing and adapting effective strategies in solving everyday problems, which also serve as a means to reconstruct mathematical understanding. As part of the direction of the Independent Curriculum policy, the preparation of the Learning Implementation Plan has undergone significant changes compared to the previous curriculum in increasing learning motivation about the area of ​​flat shapes. Efforts to increase learning motivation through Problem based learningthe area of ​​flat shapes are carried out according to the steps based on the implementation cycle with the following steps: planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Learning using the Problem based learningmodul can increase learning motivation about the circumference and area of ​​flat shapes in grade IV students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the need for educational game-based learning media using the Wordwall platform in teaching English vocabulary to fourth-grade elementary school students. The research responds to the observed limitations in current instructional practices, which are still dominated by conventional methods and printed textbooks, resulting in low student motivation and limited vocabulary mastery. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews with teachers, and documentation analysis at two elementary schools in Tasikmalaya, Jawa Barat. The findings indicate that while the Wordwall platform is available and occasionally used, its implementation is inconsistent and not specifically focused on vocabulary development. Teachers mainly rely on printed textbooks, and digital resources are underutilized, despite the availability of supporting infrastructure. Student exhibited interest and enthusiasm when exposed to interactive and game-based media, suggesting that such tools have strong potential to enhance vocabulary learning. This study highlights the urgency of developing creative, efficient, and pedagogically sound Wordwall-based materials that align with learners’ needs. The results serve as a foundation for future research and development in the creation of innovative digital vocabulary learning resources for primary education.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a snakes and ladders learning media based on productive struggle for teaching plane shapes to elementary school students. The background of this research stems from students’ difficulties in understanding the concepts of plane shapes and the limited instructional media used by teachers. The productive struggle approach offers structured challenges that encourage students to solve problems independently, thereby enhancing conceptual understanding, learning autonomy, and mental resilience. This study adopts the Educational Design Research (EDR) method. Data collection techniques include interviews, observations, questionnaires, and expert validation. The analysis results show that most teachers and students require interactive and enjoyable learning media that can also stimulate students’ thinking skills. Game-based media such as snakes and ladders, when integrated with productive struggle principles, is considered highly suitable for development as it aligns with the characteristics of elementary school students. These findings form a crucial foundation for designing effective and contextual learning media to support mathematics.

Abstract

This text addresses the challenge of preserving Indonesia's regional languages, specifically the Sundanese language, which is losing its appeal among younger generations. This lack of interest is primarily due to monotonous, conventional teaching methods, as observed at SDN Pangandaran, where teachers only use textbooks. To combat this disengagement and reignite student enthusiasm, the text proposes integrating technology into education. Interactive learning media, such as Wordwall, are identified as a potential solution to help educators deliver material in a more engaging way that is relevant to the current digital era. Therefore, this research aims to examine how the use of Wordwall-based interactive media can increase student interest and understanding of the Sundanese language, especially concerning undak usuk basa Sunda (levels of language in Sundanese).

Abstract

This study addresses the limited availability of contextual and culturally relevant learning resources in elementary science education, particularly for teaching ecosystem concepts that are often perceived as abstract by students. The lack of integration between scientific concepts, local wisdom, and interactive digital media has contributed to passive learning practices and low conceptual understanding. This research aims to develop an interactive e-module based on ethnoscience by integrating the local wisdom of Tri Tangtu Kampung Naga as a learning resource for ecosystem topics in elementary schools. The study employed a Design-Based Research (DBR) methodology, which involved iterative stages of problem analysis, design and development of the e-module, implementation in real classroom settings, evaluation, and refinement. The research was conducted with fifth-grade elementary school students and involved expert validation as well as user practicality testing by teachers and students. The results indicate that the developed ethnoscience-based interactive e-module is valid, practical, and suitable for use as a learning resource. The integration of Tri Tangtu Kampung Naga successfully contextualized ecosystem concepts, enhanced student engagement, and supported meaningful learning experiences. These findings suggest that interactive e-modules integrating local wisdom can serve as effective instructional media to improve conceptual understanding while fostering environmental awareness and cultural appreciation among elementary school students.

Abstract

This service is based on an analysis of situations and problems, that until now dance learning at SILN Davao, Philippines is still using the dance studio education pattern. The orientation is that students memorize certain dance movements with imitates the teacher, without being given space to creatively. This has an impact on the closure of various intelligences possessed by students. SILN Davao, also often appears at state events to present the face of Indonesia to the public, but this is hampered by the lack of variety in dance learning in schools, which makes Indonesia seem to have minimal traditional arts. To hack this, this community service seeks to implement the concept of dance learning by applying unplugged computational thinking. The goal is that dance learning is not just a matter of memorizing motion, but students can creative ideas in the form of dance according to their level of development. To achieve this, methods used are community situation analysis, problem identification, setting goals, problem solving plans, social approaches, implementing activities, and evaluating. The results of this implementation show that the concept of dance learning at SILN Davao, Philippines that applies computational thinking unplugged can be applied to other SILNs.

Abstract

Pengembangan kemampuan numerasi merupakan hal yang sangat penting selama masa sekolah dasar. Pengembangan kemampuan ini bergantung pada proses pembelajaran dan pengalaman yang diberikan. Oleh karena itu, guru berkewajiban untuk menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang positif dan menyenangkan. Salah satu cara yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran interaktif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media berbasis permainan, Petak Numerasi, yang diadaptasi dari permainan monopoli, dengan integrasi konten matematika. Dengan tujuan sebagai alat bantu dalam pembelajaran dan/atau pengayaan penguatan kemampuan numerasi siswa kelas V sekolah dasar yang sesuai dengan prinsip belajar sambil bermain. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan model pendekatan ADDIE tanpa tahapan implementasi. Hasil pengembangan dilakukan uji validasi kelayakan oleh ahli media yang memberikan skor kelayakan sebesar 95.55% dengan kategori Sangat Baik (SB). Sehingga, media Petak Numerasi dinilai layak untuk diintervensi pada siswa kelas V sekolah dasar sebagai media penguatan kemampuan numerasi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis Articulate Storyline pada pembelajaran ekosistem di sekolah dasar dengan mengintegrasikan nilai kearifan lokal Tri Tangtu Kampung Naga. Penelitian ini menggunakan model 4D. Tahapan pada model 4D terdiri dari Pendefinisian (Define), Perencanaan (Design) Pengembangan (Develop) Penyebaran Disseminate). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan media interaktif memperoleh rata – rata persentase dari ahli media sebesar (80%) dan dari ahli materi memperoleh persentase sebesar (98%) dengan kriteria sangat layak. Adapun untuk hasil angket respon peserta didik memperoleh persentase sebesar (86%) dengan kriteria sangat baik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian Dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis Articulate Storyline yang dikembangkan telah terbukti layak digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran serta mendapat tanggapan positif dari peserta didik setelah diimplementasikan dalam proses pembelajaran di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan open ended berbasis productive struggle terhadap kemampuan literasi matematis siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah masih rendahnya kemampuan literasi matematis siswa, yang disebabkan oleh pembelajaran yang kurang melibatkan siswa secara aktif dalam memahami konsep dan berpikir kritis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain one group pretest-posttest. Subjek penelitian adalah 23 siswa kelas IV di salah satu SD negeri di Kota Tasikmalaya. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes uraian literasi matematis dengan empat soal yang telah divalidasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata siswa meningkat dari 28,09 pada pretest menjadi 70,87 pada posttest. Uji Wilcoxon menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,000 yang berarti terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari pendekatan open ended berbasis productive struggle terhadap kemampuan literasi matematis siswa.
