Abstract

This study is motivated by the limited research results that specifically examine emotional literacy in elementary school students. Therefore, the main purpose of this study is to describe the emotional literacy of students, especially in the aspect of repairing emotional damage. This research uses a qualitative approach with the classroom ethnography method. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. The participants in this study were grade V learners and classroom teachers in one of the elementary schools. The results showed that the learners' ability to repair emotional damage was still diverse and inadequate. Most learners have not realized the impact of their emotions on others, have not been accustomed to apologizing and forgiving sincerely, and have not been able to restore relationships consistently after conflict. These findings indicate the need for emotional literacy learning in primary schools to shape healthy social relationships in life.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya siswa dalam menumbuhkan nilai tanggung jawab dalam pembelajaran dan terbatasnya penggunaan media pembelajaran digital yang memuat karakter khususnya dalam pembelajaran PAI kelas III. Oleh karena itu, peneliti merancang dan mengembangkan media pembelajaran digital berupa e-book cerita bergambar yang memuat materi tanggung jawab untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran, baik disekolah maupun dirumah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mendeskripsikan kebutuhan, rancangan, kelayakan, respon siswa dan pemahaman siswa mengenai e-book cerita bergambar untuk menumbuhkan nilai tanggung jawab siswa dalam pembelajaran PAI kelas III sekolah dasar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dari wawancara, observasi, studi dokumentasi, validasi para ahli, angket respon guru dan siswa, serta pemahaman siswa. Subjek dalam penelitian adalah siswa SDN 1 Nagarawangi dan SDN 1 Karanglayung dengan jumlah 39 siswa. Hasil validasi dari ahli materi, bahasa, dan media mendapatkan penilaian rata-rata 83,50%. Hal ini dibuktikan juga dengan hasil angket respon guru dan siswa terhadap e-book cerita bergambar serta pemahaman siswa. Respon guru dari kedua sekolah mendapatkan rata-rata 100% dengan kategori sangat layak. Respon siswa dari kedua sekolah mendapatkan rata-rata sebesar 97% dengan kategori sangat layak. Adapun pemahaman siswa mengenai materi tanggung jawab dengan menggunakan e-book cerita bergambar dinilai sangat baik membantu siswa memahami materi pelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli, hasil uji coba respon dan hasil pemahaman siswa dari seluruh aspek memenuhi kategori sangat layak dan e-book cerita bergambar dapat di gunakan disekolah dalam pembelajaran serta dapat menumbuhkan nilai tanggung jawab siswa dalam pembelajaran PAI kelas III sekolah dasar.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the application of the flipped classroom model in learning Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) at the elementary school level. IPAS learning is expected to not only focus on delivering material, but also be able to foster activeness, curiosity, and optimal student involvement. The flipped classroom model is an innovative alternative that can reverse conventional learning patterns, by presenting learning materials first through digital media to be studied independently at home, then using face-to-face time in class for discussion, questions and answers, and collaborative problem solving. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of observation and literature study of five scientific articles published in 2020–2025. The results of the study show that the flipped classroom model has great potential in improving cognitive learning outcomes, conceptual understanding, and active involvement of students in IPAS learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan open ended berbasis productive struggle terhadap kemampuan literasi matematis siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah masih rendahnya kemampuan literasi matematis siswa, yang disebabkan oleh pembelajaran yang kurang melibatkan siswa secara aktif dalam memahami konsep dan berpikir kritis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain one group pretest-posttest. Subjek penelitian adalah 23 siswa kelas IV di salah satu SD negeri di Kota Tasikmalaya. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes uraian literasi matematis dengan empat soal yang telah divalidasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata siswa meningkat dari 28,09 pada pretest menjadi 70,87 pada posttest. Uji Wilcoxon menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,000 yang berarti terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari pendekatan open ended berbasis productive struggle terhadap kemampuan literasi matematis siswa. Abstract

Mathematics is one of the fields of science taught in Elementary School. Teachers who want to teach mathematics to students need to understand and know the material to be delivered. Understanding the meaning of mathematics itself is a fundamental key to achieving success in learning mathematics. Learning is a process carried out by individuals to obtain new behavioral changes as a whole as a result of experience in interacting with the environment. The need for a mathematics teaching module based on productive struggle through a problem-based learning approach. This learning is further developed, including Problem-Based Learning which has recently become famous in the world of education. Problem Based Learning can provide skills in managing life for students to be able to overcome obstacles in their environment. The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the need for a mathematics teaching module based on productive struggle through a problem-based learning approach on flat shape material carried out on grade IV teachers in Kawalu District. The results of this study indicate that teachers are active in implementing Problem Based Learning, but there are still obstacles in learning mathematics. In learning flat shapes, the teacher stated that one of the main objectives in learning mathematics based on the Independent Curriculum is to help students understand and develop mathematical material that includes facts, concepts, principles, operations, and mathematical relations. The process elements in learning mathematics also emphasize the importance of implementing and adapting effective strategies in solving everyday problems, which also serve as a means to reconstruct mathematical understanding. As part of the direction of the Independent Curriculum policy, the preparation of the Learning Implementation Plan has undergone significant changes compared to the previous curriculum in increasing learning motivation about the area of ​​flat shapes. Efforts to increase learning motivation through Problem Based Learning the area of ​​flat shapes are carried out according to the steps based on the implementation cycle with the following steps: planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Learning using the Problem Based Learning modul can increase learning motivation about the circumference and area of ​​flat shapes in grade IV students.

Abstract

Dalam rangka mendukung suksesnya Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka (IKM) maka Kemendikbudristek meluncurkan Program Sekolah Penggerak yang bertujuan sebagai pilot project dalam IKM. Namun dalam penerapannya masih terdapat beberapa kekurangan.  Oleh karena itu diperlukan strategi yang tepat dalam IKM. Metode penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Analisis data yang digunakan terdiri dari reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu guna mendeskripsikan strategi IKM di Sekolah Penggerak SD Negeri Pasirjeungjing. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa strategi IKM di Sekolah Penggerak SD Negeri Pasirjeungjing terdiri dari 4 komponen utama yaitu 1) memahami kerangka dasar dan regulasi Kurikulum Merdeka, 2) pembelajaran dan asesmen, 3) pengembangan Kurikulum Operasional Satuan Pendidikan (KOSP), dan 4) pengembangan Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila. Namun dalam pelaksanaannya masih terdapat beberapa kendala yang ditemukan diantaranya 1) kurangnya sarana dan prasarana, 2) SDM yang masih kurang, 3) minimnya pengalaman, 4) kesulitan dalam membangun budaya sekolah. Adapun upaya yang dilakukan Komite Pembelajaran diantaranya 1) guru dituntut lebih kreatif dalam memanfaatkan fasilitas sekolah, 2) mengikuti pelatihan Kurikulum Merdeka, 2) guru berkoordinasi dengan guru penggerak, 4) guru mengikuti pelatihan membangun budaya sekolah dalam IKM. Strategi IKM di SD Negeri Pasirjeungjing selaras dengan alur memahami Kurikulum Merdeka yang dirancang oleh Kemendikbudristek.

Abstract

This research was conducted to produce a computational thinking module using scratch ecosystem material for class V elementary schools. The method applied in this research is Educational Design Research (EDR). The research subjects consisted of 30 class V-A students at SDN 7 Ciamis and 15 class V students at SDN 2 Sindangsari. Data collection techniques include validation sheets and student response questionnaires after using the module. The validation results from 2 validators received an average score of 83.33% which shows decent qualifications. In the first stage of testing, the questionnaire results showed a percentage of 89.17% in the very feasible category. Meanwhile, the second stage of the trial showed a percentage of 91.87% in the very feasible category. Therefore, the computational thinking module that has been developed can be used as a learning tool for computational thinking in grade V elementary school ecosystem material.

Abstract

The research was motivated by the unavailability of special assessment instruments to assess poetry appreciation learning in elementary schools (SD). This research explores the need for poetry appreciation assessment instruments to draft an assessment instrument development product that can facilitate educators in assessing poetry appreciation learning in elementary schools. The research method used was the descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques were carried out using observations and interviews conducted from 26 February to 4 March 2024 with three grade IV elementary school educators in Tasikmalaya City. The data obtained were then analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings of this study, are: (1) the learning of poetry appreciation carried out has not included appreciation activities, namely understanding, responding to, and assessing poetry; (2) there are educators‘ misconceptions about the concept of poetry appreciation; (3) two educators have developed assessment instruments independently for learning poetry, but have not included students’ appreciation activities of poetry; (4) the assessment instruments developed have not been prepared based on a special learning model for literature appreciation. Based on this, there is a need to develop a poetry appreciation assessment instrument based on a literary appreciation learning model to holistically measure students' understanding, response, and poetry assessment.

Abstract

The lack of understanding among students regarding the human digestive system material in elementary schools is due to the limitations of teaching resources used by educators. The aim of this research is to develop a digital-based illustrated storybook that can be used as teaching material or reading content on the human digestive system within the independent curriculum framework. This study employs the ADDIE model, which includes (1) analysis, (2) design, (3) development, (4) implementation, and (5) evaluation stages. Data collection techniques include interviews, document studies, expert validation, and response questionnaires. The results of media expert validation show an average percentage of 93% with a very feasible criterion, illustration validation results show an average percentage of 75% with a feasible criterion, material expert validation results show an average percentage of 88% with a very feasible criterion, and language expert validation results show an average percentage of 82% with a very feasible criterion. The trial was conducted twice; the first trial results from student response questionnaires show an average percentage of 97% with a very good criterion, while educator response questionnaires show an average percentage of 80% with a good criterion. In the second trial, student response questionnaires show an average percentage of 99% with a very good criterion, while educator response questionnaires show an average percentage of 85% with a very feasible criterion. Thus, the developed Digital-Based Illustrated Storybook on the Digestive System is very feasible and highly suitable for use in elementary schools.

Abstract

Matematika merupakan mata pelajaran yang memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk pola pikir logis, analitis, dan pemecahan masalah bagi siswa sekolah dasar. Namun, pembelajaran matematika masih menghadapi berbagai tantangan, khususnya dalam memahami konsep bangun datar. Siswa sering mengalami kesulitan akibat pendekatan pembelajaran yang kurang menarik dan tidak kontekstual. Selain itu, rendahnya kemandirian belajar siswa menjadi hambatan dalam memahami konsep secara mendalam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan pengembangan bahan ajar berupa buku cerita bergambar yang mengandung nilai kemandirian dan berbasis disposisi matematis dalam pembelajaran bangun datar di kelas III Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi pendahuluan, wawancara, dan kajian literatur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar berbasis cerita bergambar belum banyak digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika, meskipun memiliki potensi besar dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dan motivasi belajar siswa. Guru mengungkapkan bahwa buku cerita bergambar yang dikembangkan perlu mengintegrasikan konsep bangun datar dengan kehidupan sehari-hari siswa serta menanamkan sikap mandiri dalam belajar. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah pentingnya pengembangan buku cerita bergambar sebagai alternatif bahan ajar yang tidak hanya membantu pemahaman konsep matematika, tetapi juga menumbuhkan kemandirian belajar dan disposisi matematis siswa. Buku ini diharapkan dapat menjadi solusi dalam meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran matematika di Sekolah Dasar.
