Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang antarmuka pengguna (UI) dan pengalaman pengguna (UX) untuk aplikasi e-commerce pada Toko Bolu Miranti dengan menggunakan metode Design Thinking. Seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi informasi, keberadaan platform e-commerce menjadi semakin penting untuk meningkatkan visibilitas dan penjualan produk, khususnya di sektor kuliner. Metode Design Thinking yang meliputi lima tahap empathize, define, ideate, prototype, dan test,digunakan untuk memahami kebutuhan pengguna dan menciptakan solusi yang efektif. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa desain UI/UX yang intuitif dan menarik tidak hanya memenuhi ekspektasi pengguna dalam hal navigasi, tetapi juga meningkatkan kepuasan pelanggan saat melakukan transaksi. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap pengembangan aplikasi e-commerce untuk UMKM di Indonesia.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of Virtual Reality (VR) and the Metaverse on travel decisions, specifically focusing on lesser-known tourist destinations. The purpose is to understand how immersive digital experiences can influence potential visitors' perceptions and travel intentions. A mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative interviews with tourism stakeholders and quantitative surveys with 500 participants, was used to collect data. The results show that VR and Metaverse experiences significantly enhance user engagement, emotional attachment, and the likelihood of visiting the destination in person. The study's findings offer practical insights for tourism marketing strategies, suggesting that VR and Metaverse platforms can complement traditional marketing approaches. Theoretical implications include contributing to the understanding of digital transformation in tourism, particularly in how immersive technologies shape travel behavior. This research contributes to both theory and practice by highlighting the potential for VR and Metaverse technologies to increase the appeal of lesser-known destinations like Lake Toba.

Abstract

Geothermal Power Plant (PLTP) is a renewable energy source that has great potential to meet electricity needs in a sustainable manner with low carbon emissions. This research aims to develop mathematical models and Matlab-based control systems to increase the power capacity of geothermal power plants. The system model includes reservoir dynamics, production wells, turbines, and generators with control using the PID (Proportional-Integral-Derivative) method. Simulations were conducted to test the system response to variations in electrical load, reservoir temperature, and operational disturbances. The simulation results show that the PID control successfully maintains the electrical power output to be close to the reference value with a fast response despite the presence of overshoot and initial oscillation. Adjustment of PID parameters is recommended to reduce overshoot and accelerate stabilisation of power output. This research contributes to the optimisation of geothermal power plant operation so as to improve efficiency and national energy security based on geothermal energy.

Abstract

Satunusa Lintas Persada is an Inter-City Inter-Provincial (AKAP) bus company located in Medan City. Currently, the ticket sales system at Satunusa Bus still uses conventional methods. With the rapid progress of information technology and innovation in the smartphone sector, various human activities are becoming easier, including ordering tickets via e-ticketing applications which allow passengers to choose tickets according to their needs. Application development begins with interface design, which is the first step to realizing the concept as well as designing the flow and work mechanism of the application. The method used in this process is design thinking, consisting of five stages: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. Based on system design testing using the System Usability Scale (SUS), an average score of 91.5 was obtained which is included in the "very good" category (B scale).

Abstract

The development of digital technology has brought major changes in various sectors, including the culinary industry and MSMEs. Angkringan Berkah MSMEs face challenges in improving operational efficiency and competitiveness through the application of mobile-based technology. This research aims to design the UI/UX of a mobile-based food sales application with a Design Thinking approach to improve user experience and the effectiveness of digital transactions. The Design Thinking method is applied through the stages of empathy, problem definition, ideation, prototyping, and testing. The results showed that the developed UI/UX design successfully improved the ease of use of the application, accelerated the ordering process, and provided a better user experience. Usability testing showed a high level of satisfaction from users in navigation and interaction with the application. Comparison with previous research confirmed the effectiveness of the Design Thinking method in creating a more intuitive and user-friendly design. Despite some limitations in additional features, this research makes an important contribution to the digitalization of culinary MSMEs. The results of this study can serve as a reference for similar application developers in improving usability and functionality aspects in the future.

Abstract

The development of science and technology has encouraged every sector to utilize information quickly, precisely, and accurately. In the creative service industry, the utilization of information technology such as websites is an important strategy to increase promotion and sales. Maripro Photo Studio, as a local photography business in Medan, is still limited in digital marketing because it only relies on WhatsApp and Instagram. This research aims to design the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) of a promotional and sales website based on the Human Centered Design (HCD) approach. This method consists of five stages, namely observation, definition, ideation, prototyping, and testing, which are focused on the needs and comfort of end users. Data was collected through direct observation, interviews with the studio, and literature studies related to UI/UX design and digital marketing. The results of the design process show that the website has an attractive appearance, easy navigation, and is able to convey information effectively. Evaluation through usability testing on users shows a high average score on the aspects of ease of use, aesthetics, accessibility, and user satisfaction. In conclusion, this website can be a digital solution that increases the marketing reach and service quality of Maripro Photo Studio. In addition, the results of this study can also be used as a reference in the development of similar systems in the industry sector.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology (ICT) has penetrated various aspects of life, including the world of education. The integration of digital madrasah in the attendance system and grade management at MTsS YP Al Azhar. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a case study, involving observation, interviews, and literature study as data collection techniques. The results showed that the implementation of the digital system has improved the efficiency of the attendance process and management of student grades, facilitated access to information for teachers and parents, and reduced the use of paper. However, there are obstacles such as limited training for educators and technology infrastructure that has not been optimized. The conclusion of this study is that the integration of digital technology at MTsS YP Al Azhar has a positive impact on education management, although further efforts are needed in increasing the capacity of human resources and providing supporting infrastructure.

Abstract

MSMEs are the backbone of the national economy, but many have yet to adapt to digital technology. MSMEs “Ghonim Kue” face challenges in reaching a wide range of customers because they still rely on conventional sales systems. This research aims to design the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) of Ghonim Kue mobile application using the Design Thinking method. With several processes in it, among others, empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and testing are processes in implementing the design thinking method. The creation of this application uses Figma software as a mobile display designer and is tested using the System Usability Scale (SUS). The test results of 26 users showed a SUS score of 66.15 which is included in the “Adjective scale Good and Accepbility Marginal High” category. This design is expected to be a digital solution that can increase the competitiveness of Ghonim Kue MSMEs in the era of digital transformation.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to apply the Design Thinking methodology to evaluate the UI/UX design on the mobile website platform of PT Serasi Media Teknologi. Effective UI/UX design can improve user experience and maximize the use of online platforms. The Design Thinking method is used to understand user needs and develop innovative solutions. It is expected that the results of this study will contribute to the development of a more effective and user-friendly mobile-based website platform. This study uses a qualitative approach by conducting observations and interviews to understand user needs. The findings of the study indicate that effective UI/UX design can improve user satisfaction and maximize the use of online platforms. This study offers recommendations for improving the UI/UX design for the mobile-based website platform of PT Serasi Media Teknologi.

Abstract

Ketahanan finansial merupakan salah satu aspek penting dalam mendukung kesejahteraan mahasiswa selama menempuh pendidikan tinggi. Namun, tingkat literasi keuangan, khususnya dalam aspek asuransi, masih tergolong rendah di kalangan mahasiswa, yang berimplikasi pada minimnya pemahaman terhadap manajemen risiko dan perlindungan keuangan jangka panjang. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan ketahanan finansial mahasiswa melalui penguatan literasi asuransi berbasis sistem informasi adaptif. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Aula Kampus STIM SUKMA dengan melibatkan mahasiswa sebagai peserta utama. Metodologi pelaksanaan meliputi tiga tahap utama: (1) pra-kegiatan, berupa asesmen awal untuk mengukur tingkat literasi asuransi peserta; (2) kegiatan inti, berupa pelatihan interaktif yang menggunakan platform sistem informasi adaptif yang dirancang khusus untuk memberikan materi edukasi asuransi sesuai tingkat pemahaman pengguna, serta simulasi pengambilan keputusan finansial dalam skenario risiko; dan (3) pasca-kegiatan, berupa evaluasi pemahaman melalui pretest-posttest dan survei kepuasan peserta. Materi pelatihan mencakup konsep dasar asuransi, jenis-jenis produk asuransi, manfaat perlindungan finansial, serta panduan dalam memilih produk asuransi yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan mahasiswa. Hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap konsep asuransi dan pentingnya manajemen risiko pribadi. Program ini diharapkan menjadi model edukasi finansial digital yang dapat direplikasi di berbagai perguruan tinggi untuk mendorong generasi muda yang lebih tanggap, mandiri, dan resilien secara finansial.
